@@Mach3RC Its all good. I'm hoping to try and repair the P-51 over the next few weeks but I dunno how saveable it is. It's the Freewing P-51D Old Crow if you're interested. And tbh I wouldn't be surprised lol, seems like we view things similarly. Always a joy to watch, plan to start recording my own RC adventure
I have one of these as recently got into flying, I don’t have the floats but these are such a fun plane to fly. The bigger fms kingfisher as also a nice plane to fly

I was looking at this plane, I had it in the basket and never had the money. I'd be terrified if I had no boat to recover, I have a hard enough time on land with trees😮😂, I enjoy your videos keep up the good work!

Flaps would slowed your plane down considerably making this easier methinks (unless you had them on and I did not see them).
Great set of videos with this Ranger on floats. I just found your channel and know this video is about a month old. Love that you removed the nose gear for float flying - first time I've seen this done. How did you do that and can it be put back, or is this a dedicated float plane now? You can get a Lemon 7 ch receiver for like $16 to use with the reflex gyro and your spextrum transmitter. Better range then the spectrum sport receivers at a fraction of the cost. My go to receiver for FMS planes with Reflex.

It’s SUPER easy and just as easy to put back on! That’s interesting to hear about the lemon receiver. I’d love to give it a shot but have heard so many bad stories about them losing signal!

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦, I have this plane and I flew this in land and lake, when I saw your video you did a mistake with battery because my battery is dead on the middle of the lake so I learned only fly 4 minutes to be safe.. Greetings.
Thanks for watching! Yes, I flew a bit too long on this one haha. I’ve had many flights since recording and I’m able to get about 10 minutes of flight time!
I have a question: when a floatplane like this one flips over after crashing is there a chance that the electronics with be destroyed due to water getting in? If there is how likely am i to wreck my plane?
I’ve flipped over quite a few times and mine is still flying today! However there is always a chance. If it flips over, I recommend not moving the throttle or servos. Retrieve the plane and let it dry out. Luckily parts are cheap and easy to replace too! But mines still going strong

Some RC pilots with floats bring along an RC boat for retrieving “wet planes” or so I am told.

I’ve never flown off saltwater. I don’t know too much about that as I don’t have any saltwater near me. I’d watch some videos on rc flying off saltwater!
