I have been super excited about this Barcelona video for ages. La Poma Bike really is the best bike park in Europe for dirt jump riders, especially in the winter for training for big competitions like Crankworx. We rode the skatepark section which is amazing for MTB and BMX with huge concrete bowls and technical sections. And then we hit the dirt jumps which are insane. There's lines of small dirt trails and then huge MTB dirt jumps build for pro riders to train massive tricks. I was super excited to try some proper back to back trick runs like I would at slopestyle contests. Best part was being with Ben on the chesty. I legitimately got nervous about hitting that line with him and the stoke was real as he made every landing.

My favorite part of watching matt Jones is that even though he's a professional rider he makes mistakes and shows them in videos. Just something about is is really genuine
This is actually one of my favourite things about vlog style videos. You see more of the mistakes and cases and things like that. I find it makes me feel more like "Oh, I can go out and mess things up and learn some stuff, even the best in the world mess up all the time so its not a big deal".

Matt I know you don't talk about it and try to play it off but thank you fornshowing us what it like to work through the PTSD of head injuries and concussions. You can see it in your preserverence to try and keep going after a big crash in one of your videos. You can also hear it in BEN's voice when he's supporting you, he's a rare friend.

Ben's rig looks epic with tan walls and the fact he's landing bangers straight out the gate shows what a good rider he is!
i've been riding bmx for 20 years.. ben is NOT a novice by any standard i'm familiar with, lol. He might not push himself very hard (anymore? that how it worked out for me) but his tricklist is pretty impressive and definitely a great rider.

Ben gets better every week and him ripping into Mat with the sarc is a great laugh.
I love how genuine the friendship between Matt and Ben is, and I love Ben's low-key, dry sense of humor. He makes some very funny comments that are easy to miss. And we don't get to really hear much from Jaime, but he's a key part of the crew, as well.

Matt you should get your custom hardtail with electronic gears and your alpine trail with electronic gears and swap the levers but keep them paired to the original mech then get Ben to ride one and you ride one and shift each others gears, it would be hectic
