I think that maybe Avasarala expected or even hoped something like that. This way, she doesn't have to officialy declare Drummer's position, but still enjoys the benefits. If there are no benefits, then Holden takes the brunt of the blame. I mean, they probably wrote the articles of that union together, no way that a politician like her didn't think about that loophole. Still, a nice reaction by her to Holden's move.
Marco: "None of us have a choice in this!" (watch how Filip reacts to that statement) last season... Naomi (to Filip): Walking away was the only choice I had. Walking away is the only choice ANY of us have.
I love the fact Marco looked at Philip's chair just after ordering ( too late) the ship to veer off. The very last thing he saw before being wiped out of existence is that his son left him As Drummer said to conclude her iconic speech "live shamed and die empty"

I love that The Expanse writers can write drama WITHOUT killing off characters! cos life is drama, the story of survival is more compelling than stories of death.
When it comes to drama, killing characters right at the end is a cheat code. If you've established that characters can get killed like in GoT, then it makes sense. It's all about the established rules of the story. If you break the rules right at the end... well, you get a GoT.
@@immortaljanus GoT didn't just break the rules. It hung them by the neck, burnt them while still swaying dead at the end of that rope, dragged the dead corpse through fields of cactus behind a horse for miles, then chopped whatever was left into little pieces, buried the pieces in a shallow unmarked grave, shit on that grave, then danced around in their own shit.
It's also a horrible idea to kill off your main characters in the finale of a series just for the sake of "the drama". Many a creator regrets it later when talk of continuation/reboot/"reunion" gets started and they remember "Oh crap, I killed X!"
And they didn't at this point, considering that the killed of off Alex already. I know that was not planned and their hands were forced, but that basically put a tick in that narrative box.
A bit late to the party but I loved following your journey through this amazing show. It's probably the show I've rewatched the most amount of times at this point. Absolutely love it!
I think Marco's death was perfect because he was a massive narcissist. All he cared about was his war, his army, his legacy. He didn't even see Filip as a son, he saw him as another Marco. Which is why it's so fitting that he died in the way he did because he didn't just die, he was literally deleted from existence. Every atom of his being was just erased, as if he never even existed to begin with. I can't think of anything that would scare a narcissist more
Deleted from existence by entities that have nothing to do with his fight, that don't care about who he is or his cause. No glorious battle, no courageous last stand, just here one minute gone the next. Best possible ending for him.
Pretty sure if Alex was still around and sitting in the background of the peace conference and heard Holden start talking he would've whispered, "Here we go again"
Just finished reading book 8... I understand book 7-8-9 would be a challenge to adapt and it would probably blow the budget of each seasons through the roof but goddamn it would make awesome TV. Really hope they find a way to adapt the last 3 books somehow.

We all have our favorites. Your a star wars man! I'm a trekkie! My wife loves Battlestar Galactica! However you like your syfy I think pound for pound The Expanse is the cream of the crop! They left us with several storylines open that are also covered in the books. It's beyond me that some smart network/streaming giant wouldn't give this show a huge budget and market this show like it should have been all along! Loved following along with you guys on this trip! We've all finished some great shows together but I think this one feels incomplete to me! Here's hoping someone gets their head out of their you know what !!! Can you tell I want more?! As always you guys are the best!
Nahh he'll just blame everyone else. Like how he blamed Filip for them not destroying the Rocinante when actually it was Marco in charge calling the shots
This series is by far the greatest Si-Fi tv show I have ever seen and I've seen a lot! Everything from the writing, the acting, the sets, the SFX, and the science...just remarkable! I came across this show by accident, just channel surfing and landed on The Expanse and was immediately intrigued! Bravo to everyone involved with this show, take a bow you deserve it! Just one more thing then I'll get off my soap-box; it's pretty obvious based on the ending , they are setting up a potential spin-off with the open ended story on Laconia, that's my opinion anyway. Here's hoping! Peace! ✌
Simply an amazing ending to an amazing ride and an amazing reaction by to an amazing couple! I can't express how it means that you shared your journey with us! These writers continue to blow my mind! They threaded this ending with Naomi and Filip not just through episodes but seasons. It hit me when Naomi was giving her speech to Holden and was over lapping the scene of Filip leaving the ship as she said that the choices they make are not for a reward or pat on the head. They may never know if they helped someone but knowing they tried. Filip's entire life was molded by his father. Filip only had a few days at best with his mother. It's natural to believe he wouldn't turn his back on his father right away. But as he slowly began to see what his father really was and that moment he looked dejected I believe it hit him " what have I done." There really wasn't any redemption for him. As his mother told him last season " she realized walking out of the airlock wasn't going to change anything for him, he was going to grow up without a mother either way" the only choice she had was waking away. Filip realized everything she said was true! She may never know, but she saved his life! Filip walked away..... GOD!! I'M GOING TO MISS THIS SHOW 😢
Naomi really did, directly kill Marco. Didn't have the looking in the eyes part, but she really did it. Appropriate. "I can see why you don't carry a weapon." as Drummer said in season 4 (RIP the "little s**t).
When you think about it, there’s quite a bit in common between Diogo and Filip. Only reason we’re not so sympathetic to the former is the lack of a familial relationship with one of our main characters.
Reminds me of when Fred hid the Roccinante’s power by disguising it as a gas freighter. Marco understands the power of deception and misdirection. And while he had a small role, Walker went out loyal to Drummer and the belt. Easter Egg time if you look at the display on the drop teams you’ll see names from many other science fiction franchises.
If you're really enjoying the series. The last three books they pick up perfectly and seamlessly after the 6th season of the show! I just finished them. And everything's goes on perfectly. (( Plus Alex is still alive ))
This show was so amazing and this finale hit me in the feels! I'm sad it's over.. I never would of thought a space drama would have pulled at my heart strings like this show did multiple times going back to when Miller crashed onto Venus.
Great reaction as always, guys! I'm sure that you've heard by now that all the events that were taking place in the Laconian space sets the table for all the events that follow in the next set of books, which as I understand take place after a sizable time jump. I'm sure that this serves as a jump off point in the event that they eventually make a new series on the next set of books... which I so hope happens! Thanks for the reaction and for Ubbe cat for joining in for a bit..
Amos was never going to die: The Grim Reaper is too scared to face him. Thank you both, Nikki & Steven, for taking us on your (The) Expanse journey. It has been wonderful to (re-)watch along with people that love the show as much as all of us here in the comments.
End of an era! I started watching the expanse se with you guys and then went full on fan mode, binged the whole series and have now read all the books (some of them twice) For me it's the characters that make this show/franchise Holden, Naomi, Amos, Alex, bobbie, Drummer, Avasarala and so many other amazingly fleshed out characters with believable motivations.
Wonderful reaction! Your videos are one of the things that got me to watch The Expanse (after sitting on a friends recommendation for a while), so I can only say thank you for getting me on the journey with you. Hope that someday we get the rest of the story (regarding Laconia and the Protomolecule), but if not this is still a beautiful ending
This show has my favorite female characters of all time. A lot of writers fall into annoying tropes when writing women and tend to cheaply use sex and nudity as if they are strengths or what make female leads strong. This show, with Drummer, Bobbie, and Naomi and Christian.... they are written so well. Strong, badass, but flawed like any human. And they aren't written as bitchy or difficult like so many female leads. This show, and I assume the books, really are a masterclass in how strong female characters should be written.
When the ring entities kill you, time slows down and you feel yourself, every molecule getting destroyed, so Marco felt and realized all that in the end.
Not only that, but as the realization that you and everything around you is bring atomized, you feel Them. The Ring entities, the Unknown Aggressors, the Dark Gods who live in the space between the spaces. You feel that they’re aware of and coming for you. And they’re angry.
Naomi said that its not important that we know we helped someone, its only important that we try to, Naomi helped Philip she told him the truth about his father, and eventually Philip realised that what she said was true.
For the first time, Holden had a Plan B. The little devil's head that Peaches made for Amos is a Japanese "Oni." Amos had been wearing it consistently through the season. The belief is that by displaying the face of the demon, you scare away the demon. Drummer is totally pro-Belter, but she also recognizes a situation that good for everyone's welfare (which is why she was glad to work for the Earther Fred Johnson). Avasarala smiled broadly and held out her hand to Holden, looking to see that they were being watched. That was her not lying about giving him her support. Season 6, episode 3. Marco to Filip: "Never forget what your name is, the name we share." Season 6, episode 6. Filip (typing): F_I_L_I_P N_A_G_A_T_A
I teared up when Nikki started to teared up when the baby’s face showed I seen that scene plenty of times too 🥲 Its been a hell of a ride rewatching this show with you both from the beginning n I’m sad that it has come to a end But what a end Thanks to you both Long live the Screaming Firehawks 😀
The best thing I ever watched on a screen movie or tv period. I'm glad I was able to see this in my lifetime (so many have no idea what they're missing) and it was awesome watching your own ride in this adventure. Thanks for the awesome reactions and "Oyedeng Beltalowda"!!!
My favorite thing about the way Marco dies, in the books they describe it much better than it can be shown on screen. He is completely aware and conscious the entire time he is being deconstructed at a subatomic level. Fully cognizant of losing grip on reality, senses, feeling. I really can't do it justice here to how Ty and Daniel wrote it.
I tried to think of how they could convey that on screen but I don't know how they could have sadly, outside of facial expressions. It is sad because I feel that him being aware of it is a huge part of what makes it so satisfying
@CJL96 POV shot could've done it. Time wasn't slowed down in the books, so you could've played with it a little, but overall I think they conveyed the horror perfectly.
Very few shows totally nail their finale (looking at you GoT), but the Expanse shows finale just felt "right". Even though the story isnt over, there are 3 more books set after this, but they have a 30year time jump, so this was a suitable place to end. The whole Laconia bit felt like a message to the networks that was like "hey, by the way, we have all this amazing story left to tell...".
Game of Thrones did not just fail to totally nail its finale. The idiocy that was its final season comletely obliterated the value of watching all the earlier seasons, making the entire experience of watching it a total waste of time. One day I'll tell you how I really feel about it.
I have been honored and privileged to have seen a lot of reactions on this channel since the Battle of the Bastards. And in that time I've gotten to see Nicki and Steven's reactions from start to end for my two favorite TV shows of the last 15 years: Breaking Bad and The Expanse. I was elated and excited when Steven first announced that they would be reacting to The Expanse because it's a show that I constantly tell my friends to go check out. It is amazing. Someone called it in the beginning "Game of Thrones in space" but I feel like it's evolved past that point. It's got amazing action sequences, it's got drama, high stakes storytelling. I will walk around sometimes and drop a "beltalowda" or "sasake" randomly. It's one of the rare shows that I've actually grown to like more and more as the seasons went on. I will always look back fondly on this show. Also Amos Burton isn't just a part of my Hall of My Guy, he's running the place. "I am that guy"
Still so pissed this show is over. Absolutely loved this show and every season simply built upon itself to perfection. The science stuff is just next level good and the character developments are some of my favorite all time. Really hopes it comes back someday. They left a lot of stuff open but it was still a well done conclusion. Thanks for the reviews N & S
There is more? Don't forget that this season marks the end of book 6 - so there are three more books to go! And yes, the little bits at the beginning of each episode are the base for the last three books... . So lets hope that someone will pick the Expanse up and make history... again ;-)
@@Ashley_e As I understand it, the Laconia stuff in this season is an adaptation of a short story (like the origin of the Epstein Drive from a few seasons ago), and is quite important to the events of the final 3 books.
@@Ashley_e Yes, this season was only adapting Book 6 Babylon's Ashes which was only about the war with Marco, Laconia wasn't even in it at all. The Laconia stuff was the writers laying the seeds for books 7, 8, and 9 which take place after a 30-year time jump so this was a natural stopping point for the show
@@Ashley_e I think their thought process was that if the series ever does get picked up again they can just pick right up from where we left off with Laconia and not have to go through any of that setup. Like the other person said, the Laconia plot in the show was an adaptation of the Strange Dogs novella which came out between books 6 and 7. Books 7,8,9 are also crazy and would be very difficult to adapt to live action television without a huge budget.
I'm gonna miss these characters sooo much. And I'm gonna miss your reactions to it as well. It's been quite a journey. Not just for the characters but the fans. This was an amazing experience that it's going to stay with me forever. I'm so glad you enjoyed it too. Oyedeng -
At the beginning of the show, Holden walks away from a position of greater responsibility out of immaturity. In the end, he walks away from a position of greater responsibility out of maturity.

I've watched your guys' reactions ever since game of thrones. I am very happy that you reacted to the Expanse, One of my all-time favorite shows. I do believe that in a few years they will pick up and finish the story on another streaming service. I've always enjoyed your reactions.
You two REALLY need to read the books. The story continues for 2 books beyond the end of this series. A time totalling about another 40 YEARS. Lol, not only does Amos survive...he outlives everybody else by many thousands of years :)
I watched your entire Expanse reaction playlist and it was awesome. This is my favorite TV series to date. It deserved so much more recognition. Have you watched "Andor" yet? If not that would be a great series to react to.
Just completed reading the books, and man I hope this show gets renewed some day because the last three books are everything you want from the expanse.
14:56 And *THAT'S* why space crew wear protective suits in space combat. Unlike Star Trek, which is just stupid. Especially when you see crew getting sucked into outer space wearing nothing but good intentions. One among many things I would change in that series.
Regarding the last bonus episode. I think we can assume that was right before Holden left for the assault on the Ring station. Holden and Monica have had quite a history at that point. Much if it was under duress, and while collaborative, there had been a lot of adversarial tension due to her role as a journalist. After Holden brutally shut down Monica's offer for another interview, we are reminded they share a deeper personal bond, and the hug was truly warranted. Oh, and I'm going to have to give Black Sails a go now. Thanks for your reactions. Has been a blast. 😉👌
After a few episodes of S1 when it seemed like Steven Strait was going to be the main character taking charge, I had a feeling things would be fine. He was one of the leads in the Starz series _Magic City_ and he felt very natural and was quite charismatic in that part too.
Yay for Filip finally seeing the light, but he remains one of the main movers behind the asteroid attack on Earth, which makes him, along with Marco, a mass murderer who would justifiably be hunted until apprehended and punished for his crimes against humanity. Unlike Peaches, who killed some people, but then redeemed herself fully, IMHO, by her takedown of Ashford, which I've always felt saved all of humanity (I was appalled by her sentence to SuperMax, but at least we got the chance to meet Tiny), Filip has yet to do anything to redeem himself, and probably can never do enough, to make up for what he has done in the past. My point being that he's going to have to hide, and sending a message to his Mom might reveal he's alive and out near Medina station.
I like that the final takeaway from the series is the importance of trying to make the right and moral decision. Sometimes it works out and other times not, but at least you tried
Great reaction! Great show! Best Sci-Fi show in years! I really hope they revisit The Expanse in the future. I dunno if a movie would be good for this IP, but another show continuing the books would be cool.
A small, but i think significant, detail that is easy to miss (I did on first watch) is that when the ring entities kill Marco, he turns to look where Filip sits. His last action was to look to his son, and to see that he wasn't there. Could be coincidental angle, but I like to think that was intentional. There are tons of rumors about continuing the series. Several studios are interested in adapting it, including Netflix and HBO. Amazon is also still in the mix. I really doubt this is the last we see of the story. It'll just be a few years.
Lots of neat easter eggs found in the names of the members of the assault team. You'll see the names from various sci-fi films (D. Idaho (Dune), Ripley, Vasquez, Hicks, Hudson (Aliens), Ackbar (Star Wars).
Those two kids in the beginning actually become really important in books 8 & 9, and play an important role in the resolution of the entire story. If they never make seasons 7 - 9, you should definitely listen to the audiobooks to see how it plays out.
17:47 Did she "activate her mods"? Now that's the hallmark of a great show and great reactor Nikki! When you use the lingo of the show, because it explained well to the audience and now it rolls off your tongue naturally because you pay attention.
Recognize those rocket things that popped out of Bobbie’s back to blow up the rail guns? She used those the first time you see her in season 2, during that training exercise on Mars.
Thanks for watching, gang. I think you enjoyed the show the way its creators wanted people to enjoy it. And, I know everyone is alerting y'all about fun details and callbacks but the great thing about THE EXPANSE is its tendency to not hang a hat on every plot point. And this makes it eminently rewatchable. Even the vocal fans here haven't picked up on _everything_ the show does. But, if you watch it enough... Well, "disassembly reveals useful pathways." _Oyedeng, Beltalowda!_
BTW, Naomi's scream at the end? Was a ad-lib. Dominique just felt it appropriate. And that scream was worthy of that line about ultimate suffering from Princess Bride.
I'm going to add my voice to others further down. You guys are going to love Reacher. It's right up your street. Trust me. I'm glad Marco finally got a chance to enjoy the unique pleasure of being hoisted on his own petard. Just as he told the Belters what they wanted to hear and then abandoned them, Admiral Duarte strung him along with sweet promises and then slammed his fingers in the door when he was no longer convenient. So satisfying. As was the sight of Filip deciding to eff this noise and bug the hell out while Marco Dutchman'ed the whole rest of the Free Navy on a quest that could never be completed. (In his place in that last private conversation, my response to "you still can't see what you have been given" would have been a rude comment about a debilitating social disease. But I would probably have ended up getting spaced.)
This really was the most logical point to finish the show as the last books are their own story line involving the Laconians and the fact there is a 30 year time jump.

I can't think of anything that would scare a narcissist more
Also, if he was to die, he would probably want to go out in a blaze of glory.
He def went out with a whimper and not a roar. So fitting for him.
I wonder if that's what the actor whispered to himself any time a hot fan girl came asking for an autograph.
Just finished reading book 8... I understand book 7-8-9 would be a challenge to adapt and it would probably blow the budget of each seasons through the roof but goddamn it would make awesome TV.
Really hope they find a way to adapt the last 3 books somehow.
Animation maybe?
Tiamat Wraith is going to be a nightmare to adapt for TV. The money this is going to take I think would be at least 2x a regular 13 episode season.
Book 8 just killed me...a couple of times. I hope to God we see it and - nothing against animated shows - I really hope it's live action with Naren Shankar at the helm.
what happens in book 8? do they get into the planet where the protomolecule is?@@IanHillan
@@mrnickcyp123 Ah, you should just read it and see. Maybe book 7 first though for context.

There's a TH-cam video where I think they've got them all. I've seen every episode at least a dozen times, and there were still loads of other Easter eggs I'd missed !
Great job!
that right there was a certified Holden™ move. Spectacular.
The exspanse got me through some tough times ....this show will go down as a certified classic 💯👌🏽
When something goes wrong, Marco will always say that this was exactly his plan
Nahh he'll just blame everyone else. Like how he blamed Filip for them not destroying the Rocinante when actually it was Marco in charge calling the shots
@@TheClever69 Basically, he's Space Trump.
Peace! ✌
Now go watch Babylon 5(which was pretty much planned out from the start) and Farscape.
@@JnEricsonx both of those series are amazing but The Expanse tops them for me.
@@chaost4544 Fair enough. I grew up on the other two though.
@@JnEricsonx I did as well.
You forgot to mention the sound track, which was also fabulous.
Great callback quote.
When you think about it, there’s quite a bit in common between Diogo and Filip. Only reason we’re not so sympathetic to the former is the lack of a familial relationship with one of our main characters.
Thanks for reminding me about that quote
Reminds me of when Fred hid the Roccinante’s power by disguising it as a gas freighter. Marco understands the power of deception and misdirection.
And while he had a small role, Walker went out loyal to Drummer and the belt.
Easter Egg time if you look at the display on the drop teams you’ll see names from many other science fiction franchises.
Oh yeah. I'd thought they'd catch that. Maybe they did.
The Pella is the anti-Roci so it's a definite parallel
This season could have used at least two more episodes. I just wanted more.
Bit rushed finale
If you're really enjoying the series. The last three books they pick up perfectly and seamlessly after the 6th season of the show!
I just finished them. And everything's goes on perfectly.
(( Plus Alex is still alive ))
This show was so amazing and this finale hit me in the feels! I'm sad it's over.. I never would of thought a space drama would have pulled at my heart strings like this show did multiple times going back to when Miller crashed onto Venus.
Naomi also gave the protomolecule sample to Fred that Luconia ended up with to activate the planet
"That was one hell of a ride"- rip Alex and the Expanse
Glad you guys gave my boy Holden some love. He’s amazing but often gets overshadowed by the flashier supporting characters (who are also amazing).
And IRL thinks due to the pandemic he now drinks more coffee than his Expanse counterpart. I had to laugh at that.
I like that the crew survived and the story was left open for possible future movies since there are more books they didn't get to.
the little bits of laconia were perfect to set up the next 3 books
I finished the last book and novella and I have to say. One day we will have the final arc adapted, and The Expanse will make us cry again.
I'm happy I've met Steven and Wes. Even more happy that I made Wes chuckle.
It's a 28 year time jump between book 6 (the end of this series) and 7.
Amos was never going to die: The Grim Reaper is too scared to face him.
Thank you both, Nikki & Steven, for taking us on your (The) Expanse journey. It has been wonderful to (re-)watch along with people that love the show as much as all of us here in the comments.
"That sounds like an insane plan" -- Understatement of the series.
End of an era!
I started watching the expanse se with you guys and then went full on fan mode, binged the whole series and have now read all the books (some of them twice)
For me it's the characters that make this show/franchise
Holden, Naomi, Amos, Alex, bobbie, Drummer, Avasarala and so many other amazingly fleshed out characters with believable motivations.
What a show. I really hope that it comes back...again. Even if it doesn't, it was a great finale.
He died empty, like Drummer prophesied.
Marco who?...
Also, he looked right at Philip's chair. So he realised that he left just before dying
Good.
Not only that, but as the realization that you and everything around you is bring atomized, you feel Them. The Ring entities, the Unknown Aggressors, the Dark Gods who live in the space between the spaces. You feel that they’re aware of and coming for you. And they’re angry.
I want more Expanse!
Marco to Filip: "Never forget what your name is, the name we share."
Season 6, episode 6. Filip (typing): F_I_L_I_P N_A_G_A_T_A
The devil's head was once owned by a childhood friend of Amos's who committed suicide... I think? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure.
@@jamesholland5761 that sounds about right from what i remember.
I teared up when Nikki started to teared up when the baby’s face showed
I seen that scene plenty of times too 🥲
Its been a hell of a ride rewatching this show with you both from the beginning n I’m sad that it has come to a end
But what a end
Thanks to you both
Long live the Screaming Firehawks 😀
May I present Camina Drummer, Bosmang of the Belt 👑🖤
I have truly enjoyed rewatching this series with you two through these videos. Thanks for doing them. It was a lot of fun. 👏
With the limited time they had, they did a wonderful job and stayed with book plot very well. This was a great finale!
Chrisjen Avarsarela and Camina Drummer gave the Belters full transparency. If only we could get this in our present politics.
transparency? They made the belters invisible?
@@krbkrbkrbkrbkrb, you are being obtuse. Avarsarela and Drummer conducted their political business in the open where everybody could see it.
Such a show. What a greatness. I'm gonna miss that. 🥲
Ohhhhh I get to watch this before work! Hell yea!
That was amazing. Thanks for completing (hopefully only temporarily) this unique journey with us.
This sure was a nice surprise for you two. I'm glad I got to go on this ride with you.
And yes, the little bits at the beginning of each episode are the base for the last three books... . So lets hope that someone will pick the Expanse up and make history... again ;-)
Is that why the plot on the other planet felt unresolved? That kid coming to life, that was most interesting thing of the season!
The Laconia stuff was the writers laying the seeds for books 7, 8, and 9 which take place after a 30-year time jump so this was a natural stopping point for the show
@@dante2037 thank you guys! I just wonder why do it that if it’s not gonna continue ?
Oyedeng -
Amos flying through space with shit blowing up on a rocket chair!!! Haha classic!! So nuts!!
At the beginning of the show, Holden walks away from a position of greater responsibility out of immaturity. In the end, he walks away from a position of greater responsibility out of maturity.
Your Black Sails reaction got me into your channel. That is one of my absolute favorite shows. I’ve enjoyed watching The Expanse with y’all as well! Y’all are one of the best reaction channels out there.
One of the best and most underrated shows ever in my opinion. I'm gonna miss it and I truly hope we get something more in the future.
You need to go back and check out the names of the grunts who assulted the Ring Station railguns. Some familiar names
17:20
Peaches: I know what to do.
Cat: I believe in you.
Notice the names of the assault trooper, they are all from other famous Sci-fi movies and TV shows.
16:52, did I imagine it, or were there a Hicks, Hudson and a Ripley on the list?
Most, or all, of the names on that are call outs to sci fi movies, shows and books.
Honestly a perfect show hopefully one day we see the whole ending on screen. for now I'm diving into the books.
14:56 And *THAT'S* why space crew wear protective suits in space combat. Unlike Star Trek, which is just stupid. Especially when you see crew getting sucked into outer space wearing nothing but good intentions. One among many things I would change in that series.
And that they have a vaccum in the ships during combat! No explosive decompessions happening...
Medina Station... Drummer: We stole a church and strapped guns to it!
Just subscribed, love the cat in your lap!
After a few episodes of S1 when it seemed like Steven Strait was going to be the main character taking charge, I had a feeling things would be fine. He was one of the leads in the Starz series _Magic City_ and he felt very natural and was quite charismatic in that part too.
I remember liking the guy when I saw Sky High ffs.
'Our turn MFers!'
YEESSS! Great finale. I'll wait a while with fingers crossed before I go for the books but I have to know how this story ends
Sometimes it works out and other times not, but at least you tried
great ending to one of the best shows ever made.
lets hope it gets a spin off
Great reaction! Great show! Best Sci-Fi show in years! I really hope they revisit The Expanse in the future. I dunno if a movie would be good for this IP, but another show continuing the books would be cool.
The Expanse is like the new Firefly! Bring back the Expanse! :D
Could you imagine HBO picking The Expanse up? It would have a much bigger budget to make everything all the more intense!
@@DarkMatterLuigi Please let it be HBO Max, and not Netflix. Netflix is in kind of a bad way, these days.
best episode of the last 3 seasons (alongside ep.3-4 of season 5).
Lots of neat easter eggs found in the names of the members of the assault team. You'll see the names from various sci-fi films (D. Idaho (Dune), Ripley, Vasquez, Hicks, Hudson (Aliens), Ackbar (Star Wars).
I also noticed W Riker, C Shepard and K Thrace. I love little references like that
Those two kids in the beginning actually become really important in books 8 & 9, and play an important role in the resolution of the entire story. If they never make seasons 7 - 9, you should definitely listen to the audiobooks to see how it plays out.
It can be called a happy ending, but it was so brutally hard fought for that it makes it so satisfying
17:47 Did she "activate her mods"? Now that's the hallmark of a great show and great reactor Nikki! When you use the lingo of the show, because it explained well to the audience and now it rolls off your tongue naturally because you pay attention.
Philip would be a hunted man if people knew he lived.
so good i look forward to watching this all back in the future
I'm surprised more reactors haven't reacted more strongly to the "I have gods to kill" line.
Yeah, Duarte is a problem. A big, big problem with delusions of grandeur to say the least.
This series is one of the best if not the best science fiction tv show of all time.
Well, "disassembly reveals useful pathways."
_Oyedeng, Beltalowda!_
28 years (in universe) until the next episode! I will be waiting! GO SCREAMING FIREHAWKS!
..and the last thing that Marco Inaros saw was Filip's empty seat.
i love this show so much i'm sad that its over gonna miss this show so much
This really was the most logical point to finish the show as the last books are their own story line involving the Laconians and the fact there is a 30 year time jump.
