The camera work in this scene as a whole is pretty terrible. If you go back to 1:22, count how many times he passes the red SUV, then how many times he approaches the grey Prius before crashing into it. The angles and idea are great. Continuity is terrible lol.

I love how throughout this fight he's constantly aware of the attacker's body position and where his weapons are, and uses the forces of inertia to manipulate the attacker's movements. He's literally using his driving skills as a defensive weapon, and the choreography seems to actually hold up, its not just some stitched together bullshido, there's a logic to how the car moves and how that movement dictates the fight. Its awesome.

When I saw this for the first time, that's what I thought he was going to use. I was waiting for almost the whole drive to hear the dude in the backseat try to chamber a round (that foolishly hadn't been chambered yet, because this is a movie, lol) or something.
He jacked that bro' up! It's amazing how much damage he did to the guy with just his elbow, which was just a warm-up to the firearm finale to the head--masterful.
Great scene- very creative. However, you just cannot shoot a handgun off in a closed car without completely blowing your ear drums out. Plus that headshot, at that range and with that caliber, is going to make an awful mess in reality. Movie magic!
Assassins in the real world use .22 handguns with sub-sonic rounds. The report is quieter than the action on the gun, and they're just as deadly with a head shot at point blank range.
Imagine how frustrating it must be for that guy. He has a knife, a gun is in a better position for an attack and has the advantage of surprise...and still got killed.

I don't drive cars myself and don't focus on my surroundings during a conversation, so I doubt I'd notice Denzel driving me the wrong way for three minutes. Watching this scene you kind of have to wonder if that's an automatic death sentence with him.
I love how the movie direction focus on his eyes all the time. I even noticed that his enemies mistakes is lack of attention to details and lack of focus, which is exactly what Equalizer got. If this was a DC hero he would be a meta human.
