You don't have to devout a whole playthrough to this, just accept her offer in act 3. Unless you don't want to ally with her in your other playthrough, which is understandable.
My first playthrough I was very “morally grey” so I had plenty of good guy Allie’s, but I also had auntie Ethel, astarion and strange ox (although I didn’t know he was evil?)
The Ox has very disturbing thoughts full of corpses and gore, and it becomes pretty clear it wants to get into the city to kill people (it may thank you at the end for helping it commit more murders). It also says "Hail Cyric" at some point, and Cyric is the evil god of chaos, deceit, and madness.
He's a follower of Cyric, the god of lies, trickery, and strife. The person who's responsible for killing Mystra. Also probably the god that is most hated by others simply because he's an asshole and is a manipulator.
He worships Cyric but hes content with just being an ox. If you try to encourage him to cause havoc as dark urge he gets mad at you so I wouldn't call him an evil ally nessasarily.
I think he is something similar to dark urge, he wants to live peaceful life as simple ox, but implication is bit on side of "he probably didn't succeed in reigning his bloodthirst once he got to city" based on the dialog
Not gonna lie, thought there would be, WAY MORE people here. I thought Sazza woulda been here along with a couple goblins if they got saved every time.
Well, this team doesn't need to be taught how to strike terror into the hearts of their enemies (or anyone for that matter). The enemy will not capture Baldur's Gate, these maniacs will capture it themselves, or destroy it if they cannot.
The Dark Urge is for you then. I am exactly the same. I cannot compel myself to play differently. You can still be "good" with the Dark Urge, but the game certainly changes because of it. I think you might enjoy it. Just don't talk to any animals. You've been warned lol.
What a cursed ally group, they even cheer at the most unpopular motivation line XD What a cursed playthrough to have them fight the elder brain, almost makes me pity the elder brain if it was as evil as this group :D
Thank you so much for making this! This is what I really wanted to see but couldn't be arsed for a whole playthrough just to see alternative endings. Go Mad Sentient Cow!
Its genius how Larian formed on how the Parasite and Elderbrain is a threat to all, even one consider Gods by civilians, to where they become your allies.
What what what what what what. The. Feck. I havnt gotten past act 1. And I'd say im playing a good playthrough. This game has so much to it. The hag quest line absolutely shocked me. Multiple attempts at that quest. But seeing that there's a playthrough where the hag helps you fight, this game is absolutely ridiculously incredible.
Man I just finished my evil Durge honor run and tried to get Saravok but he challenged me to fight after killing Orin. Didn’t know you could recruit hag though, that’s cool. And the iron hands are definitely evil haha
yeah, she kidnaps a kid if you don't let her keep the unwanted baby. so this time I let mayrina stay with ethel like she wanted, we'll see what happens.
What are their abilities when you summon them? Does Sarevok and Ethel join the battle or just give you buffs? Does Shadowheart summon fellow Shar worshippers?
I played mostly "good" but was able to have the Devil Lord whom I convinced to turn against Raphael join me in the Final Battle along with the evil trader.
@@ItsM4rtytime I actually went to report to Sarevok after killing Orin and he asked me for deathmatch as well I turned on "knock out unconscious" passive and he showed up at final battle! When you use non-lethal finisher you can't loot his sword and helmet though
@@Last666Dragonborn and that dialogue suggests that him being in the final battle is not a bug, for sure. There is got to be a more “legal” way to get him there other than just knocking him out, when (i guess) youre supposed to kill him. Maybe you just never return to the temple after fighting orin
Not what I'd consider a full evil line-up, Shadowheart should be replaced by Viconia (spare the Nightsong, then betray Shadowheart to Viconia, gets you the real evil Shar cult leader), you should get Lorroakan (help him enslave the Nightsong after she was released, goes with the previous one) and you should recruit the Zhentarim (help them overthrow the Guild, killing Nine Fingers). Each of the three have the same bonus as their opposite counterpart. Viconia and Shar Shadowheart are both evil technically, but since Shadowheart is a companion, she's the positive option, while convincing Shadowheart to betray Shar, then serving her up on a platter to the Justiciars is way worse, and again opens up Lorroakan as an option (who is the evil counterpart to Rolan). Zhentarim is the negative counterpart to Nine Fingers. Up in the air if Strange Ox is evil, it's definitely an abomination but it doesn't seem to be actively doing anything nefarious.
@@heroic_antagonist759 Strange Ox also worships Cyric, the Prince of Lies. If don't know your lore, Cyric is the god that conspired with Shar to cause the spellplague.
The strange ox is not really evil, if you kill him as teh dark urge, he will stay in ox form and just accept iits death, he is just as he says, want to be a on in peace.
Not really. Read his thoughts in Last Light. It's brutal and bloodthirsty. Just as Dark Urge. Also he asks you to move him into the city and later he mentions a massacre and blood bath. So, he is trying to get rid of this lifestyle but he can't resist the urge
Fun fact: If you get that cutscene as a Vengeance Paladin Dark Urge (The one where you kill the Ox without it revealing its true form) you end up breaking your oath.
I wonder if it is possible to acquire Lorroakans help in the endfight. I'd argue it would be more evil to betray Shadowheart and then trade Aylin to a different master.
My evil run just had Astarion and shadowheart there. The fist didn't even show up, all I had was Wither's saying "well you suck at getting allies so this will have to do"
Or you help him with his pact when you first meet him by killing the rat guy. Then he will automatically ally with you against Raphael and ofc in the final battle.
I think you missed Lorroakan and his arcane battery ability if you sacked the moonmaiden. That ability during battle is fucking nuts, instantly evaporated one of the dream guardians.

@@Last666Dragonborn Viconia does the same thing as SH and the only way to do that is to save Aylin first. Same hat re: the Ox. My poor fucked up but ultimately good dark urge was so sure the guy was sincere about just wanting to be an ox. Lol
The ox is an evil ally? Damn, I helped that guy get in!
He worships Cyric but hes content with just being an ox. If you try to encourage him to cause havoc as dark urge he gets mad at you so I wouldn't call him an evil ally nessasarily.
@@adrianmarsh5903 Wait, he worships Cyric?
I think he is something similar to dark urge, he wants to live peaceful life as simple ox, but implication is bit on side of "he probably didn't succeed in reigning his bloodthirst once he got to city" based on the dialog
@@adrianmarsh5903Oh god. How much you want to bet the "Strange Ox" is actually Malik el Sami yn Nasser, the Seraph of Lies (Chosen of Cyric)?
@@adrianmarsh5903 didnt he say in the video he enjoyed a lot of bloodbaths in the city??
Seeing Wulbrean and Bhaalites as allies is kind of ironic
Can't believe the Bhaalites would ally themselves with such evil
Not gonna lie, thought there would be, WAY MORE people here. I thought Sazza woulda been here along with a couple goblins if they got saved every time.
Well, this team doesn't need to be taught how to strike terror into the hearts of their enemies (or anyone for that matter). The enemy will not capture Baldur's Gate, these maniacs will capture it themselves, or destroy it if they cannot.
The strange ox is so weird. Bc you can have it in both good and evil playthroughs super easily.
He's doing his best 😂
"Let us bathe the way in Bluuud" 🤣
Holy shit no idea you could get Ethel and Saravok, that’s awesome
Sarovok is only available to embrace durge
But you can get Ethel in any playthrough
Started my second run determined to play it different, but stuck in the "good" choices rut. So nice to see the alternate future I coulda had.
Me too. I know it's just a game but dammit, I wanna be nice!
I can't be evil in a game with voiceacting.
The Dark Urge is for you then. I am exactly the same. I cannot compel myself to play differently. You can still be "good" with the Dark Urge, but the game certainly changes because of it. I think you might enjoy it. Just don't talk to any animals. You've been warned lol.
It really speaks to the threat when all the most awful people in the world feel the need to team up against it.
What a cursed ally group, they even cheer at the most unpopular motivation line XD
What a cursed playthrough to have them fight the elder brain, almost makes me pity the elder brain if it was as evil as this group :D
Auntie Ethel's lines were pretty cool, imagine its some cool mature woman like melody speaking
I'm guessing to have Saravok simply don't re-visit him after killing Orin ?
Yep.
I'm wondering if this was removed. This man doesn't seem to want to show up for me, the lazy jerk.
I was gonna say that you could've had Lorroakan, but I forgot about the relation with Shadowheart and the Nightsong 💀
Thank you so much for making this! This is what I really wanted to see but couldn't be arsed for a whole playthrough just to see alternative endings. Go Mad Sentient Cow!
The Kuo-Toa should've been evil allies too.
So, they didn't build you an army? I feel betrayed
I don't see why they have to be evil. You can get them to worship you as a good character entirely by accident lol.
@@mizushirokanon9174Yeah, I was kind of wanting them to show up at the final battle to help out or something. 🤷
@KazumaKenchi well yea, but if you are evil they'd be evil. They just follow whatever you decide for them. Theoretically I mean. They fit into both.
When I have another 300 hours to spare I'll go back and do the evil playthrough.
Alistair always moved me with his pre-battle speaches.
This ending part gave me such Origins vibes. This game is everything I had hoped for Dragon Age.
Wish they added like a ''final romance scene/goodbye'' for your romance option.
The triumphant music hitting in after Minthara's "And we are still standing!" hits hard, even if that was by sheer randomness of the loop~
Man I just finished my evil Durge honor run and tried to get Saravok but he challenged me to fight after killing Orin. Didn’t know you could recruit hag though, that’s cool. And the iron hands are definitely evil haha
Same here, idk how to get him!
Well, I can see why the Ox is part of the evil conglomerate.
Shit, auntie Ethel would be a powerful ally…
noted: i should not have murdered ethel
yeah, she kidnaps a kid if you don't let her keep the unwanted baby.
so this time I let mayrina stay with ethel like she wanted, we'll see what happens.
@@HisameArtwork she still kidnaps the kid and asks for the kid's mother head (disguised as captain grizly) for 3k gold.
I'm confused what happens to Mayrina if Ethel keeps her... Maybe Ethel just eats them and finds someone else.
I COULD HAVE BEEN FRIENDS WITH AUNTIE?!?!?!

What are their abilities when you summon them? Does Sarevok and Ethel join the battle or just give you buffs? Does Shadowheart summon fellow Shar worshippers?

it's absolutely mind boggling how much content can this game put together. how is this game even real?
I guess I gave in to the Dark Urge too much LOL
Only a couple of those were left alive in my ending.
Netherbrain: WE WILL CONQUER ALL. THE GRAND DESIGN WILL BE FULFILLED.
DUrge: You dont seem to understand. Baldur's Gate, isn't yours to conquer
Oh what do we know, the Ironhands side by side with Sarevok again.
I played mostly "good" but was able to have the Devil Lord whom I convinced to turn against Raphael join me in the Final Battle along with the evil trader.
How do you ally Sarevok?? In my Dark Urge playthrough he attempted to kill me after getting rid of Orin
Maybe he never went to talk with him after?
@@ItsM4rtytime I actually went to report to Sarevok after killing Orin and he asked me for deathmatch as well
I turned on "knock out unconscious" passive and he showed up at final battle!

Flaming fist: “are we the baddies?”
The strange ox literally says he's been enjoying bloodbaths since entering the city. I like him a lot but he definetly fall more under evil
@@heroic_antagonist759 Strange Ox also worships Cyric, the Prince of Lies. If don't know your lore, Cyric is the god that conspired with Shar to cause the spellplague.
The fact that Yurgir isn't considered an evil ally is hilarious. He's a mass murderer from hell, lmao
Guess ive been doing a neutral run then cause i seen no rrason to not help the cow
I wonder what was going through that fists head when Sarevok Anchev showed up to help.
Fun fact: If you get that cutscene as a Vengeance Paladin Dark Urge
(The one where you kill the Ox without it revealing its true form)
you end up breaking your oath.
"The netherbrain has been defeated the city is saved!"
"Saved? More like under new management... "
I was more of a "kill them all unless I reeeaallly liked them" kinda evil. Took Minthra, killed the rest.
lets just forget the others first, do you know that OX is Cyric’s follower?
Damn its so funning watching Cyric's guy stand with Baal's chosen LMAO
I wonder if it is possible to acquire Lorroakans help in the endfight. I'd argue it would be more evil to betray Shadowheart and then trade Aylin to a different master.
Yes, he helps you by throwing a big ass beam from his tower.
My evil run just had Astarion and shadowheart there. The fist didn't even show up, all I had was Wither's saying "well you suck at getting allies so this will have to do"
Yeah, Yuigir is easy,....if you manage the high persuation check.^^
Or you help him with his pact when you first meet him by killing the rat guy. Then he will automatically ally with you against Raphael and ofc in the final battle.
I got him in my "Good playthrough" which is in the pinned comment
I think you missed Lorroakan and his arcane battery ability if you sacked the moonmaiden. That ability during battle is fucking nuts, instantly evaporated one of the dream guardians.
YOU CAN RECRUIT SAVEROK?! Damnit! Should've go back to talk to him!
Also, dunno if I count the Ox as an ally for the evil route since destroying the inn prevent him from appearing in act 3.
well he is talking about enjoying murder and onslaught and bloodbaths. I'd consider him evil
You can recruit it after u kill orin the red then go meet the brain, if u go back to talk to him he will challange u to kill you to be bhaal #1 chosen (bhaal followers kill eachother to be only 1 bhaal spawn so bhaal himself can ressurect through the spawn)
I destroyed the Inn and I still got him as an ally. In fact I didn’t even talk to him until Act 3
@@MrBrockmcmillin wtf? He didn't appear at all in act 3 for me? And I didn't attack him
@@Hadeshy TBH my game got a bit buggy right after the Inn got destroyed and some other things also weren’t working as intended so it couldn’t just been a mistake on my end 😅 Like Jaheira didn’t register that she was in Act 3 until I put her on my party.

hearing Astarion say "My dark forces." is just chef's kiss
What does this mean? Can you summon vampire Spawn when letting Astarion ascend?
@@belis6349 ghouls i think, cant remember

You’re missing quite a few evil allies…
He's evil so some might have died
In "evil run" I actually have to kill a lot of evil allies (like Yugir)
I heard you can recruit Viconia but I sided with Shadowheart(Sharran) which is also evil(?) so...
@KK-wi1ju nice to know thx
@@Last666Dragonborn Viconia does the same thing as SH and the only way to do that is to save Aylin first.
