Yeah in act 2 you really have to do everything else before you venture into the Nightsong area otherwise it screws everything up. That was how my first run went. It warned me things would change but I didn't think it would be so drastic. My second run I did everything first. The Inn was so packed with people when they tried to kidnap Isobel that they got curb stomped. Didn't lose a single person whereas the first run saw like 2 to 4 die. On the other side of things. If you kill everyone in act 1 on a Durge or evil run... The inn is so empty they get massacred shockingly fast.
Nine Fingers' quest bugged for me. I had the objective to turn it in, had the dialogue with her, but the objective didn't clear for me so she didn't show up here. For some reason Wyll didn't show up here even though he was alive and I did his quest. His dad did though. I honestly regret summoning the Orthon and Owlbear, because maneuvering around them on the climb up the tower was such a pain. 5E lets you move through allies as thought hey were difficult terrain, why can't I do it here?
I killed Gortash at his coronation which for some reason automatically destroyed the Iron Gauntlet, causing the Steel Watch Foundry to Blow up and kill the Gondians and Duke Ravenguard. So I was forced to have Wulbren as my ally.
i dont understand why isobel and aylin didnt show up to my playthrough gathering thing when theyve been chillin at camp for two chapters waiting exactly for this
I remember there’s also a buff you receive that says it’s from Thaniel, a bit like the buff you get from “Volo’s words” - can’t remember what it did exactly though
In Durge runs, Withers is the one responding ''The very same. The champion we've been waiting for.'' to Beorn McRandomdude instead of Florrick. Why have Florrick say Withers' first line if he's still there?
So don't break the pact but still save dad with cheese. I broke the pact both times. Saved dad the second so he was in my end game gathering scene that this video is about.
Mindflayer colony act 2. There's a hallway with a lot of pods and you have to release all of them in order to rescue Zevlor. You'll have to fight 4 mind flayers and several of those brain creatures in order to save him. Definitely one of the easier allies to recruit but still easily misable if you don't know where to look.
You can get Mizora to join you if you saved her from moonrise in Act 2. Though personally I wouldn't recommend doing that because she's pretty pathetic when you summon her to fight
I think you had to have convinced him to stay in the druids grove in act 1, then you need to rescue cal and lia from moonrise in act 2. also rescue rolan himself near moonrise from shades. then he will join you in the fight against loroakan in act 3 bc he's "seen what a true hero is like" or something
@@katherine90815you also need to talk that mage to the point that he wants to do exactly the thing thorm did and he will join you anyway you should pray for his survival
I convinced Rolan to stay and fight for the Grove and asked him about his future plans at Baldur's Gate in Act 1. I accidentally stumbled upon him in the Shadow Lands, saved him, and told him to go back to the Inn. I accidentally saved his siblings and saw their reunion in Act 2. Imagine my surprise when I show up in Act 3 and this man doesn't recognize me. I even said he looked familiar, and he blew me off. Then, he attacked me with his boss, and I could do nothing to talk him down. I avoided attacking him and counterspelled his attacks. I tried non-lethal attacks and all when he was the last person standing. He wouldn't stop. It wouldn't end until he was dead. I was devastated.
It feels weird when good alliance still has that radicalist gnome and evil doesn't have Mintara. Yeah, I fully realize "good guys" also have this Yurgir guy, but for me somehow he feels more like neutral than evil character.
You are missing one ally, the githyanki, if you free Orpheus you get voss and his dragon in battle. Not sure how you got both Barcus and Wulbren, I thought one had to be chosen over the other
@@Last666Dragonborn Seems like the Gondians alliance is just bugged in general. First playthrough : I failed to save the Deep Gnomes so I only had the Gondians to save but the Gondians weren't present for the final battle despite being written as such in the quest log. Second playthrough : I didn't manage to get Barcus somehow so Wulbren and the Gondian blind leader had a heated moment after the Steel Watch factory destruction. I sided with the Gondians and Wulbren just walked away, but the same thing happened. The Gondians weren't present for the final battle despite being written as such in the quest log.
Wulbten is kinda dumb at times, too. No idea how much of the Ironhand story is buggy But hey, from what i understand so far, it’s not entirely the Gondians fault. If we save Wyll’s father we learn, they’re being blackmailed after all. So far i think we should get an option to get the Ironhands and the Gondians make peace or a truce at least. @@Xokoy Yeah, i didn't have either of them in my first play through. After blowing up the steel foundry i defended Toobin, who didn't show up, allthough i saved his daughter and everyone before. Which oif course made Wulbren get mad and he didn't show up either. I found out that Barcus is the key, i missed the dialogue at the Last light Inn with him. Now in my second play through, i talked to Barcus before and after saving Wubren and the Deep Gnomes and Tieflings. After Blowing up the Steel Foundry, Wulbren showed up. Barcus was there, too. He recognized that the Gondians were innocent and he couldn't save Wulbren. I acted like "Dude, i kinda had enough of your drama. Barcus, you take the lead now." And he did after my persuasion check. You have to save it from the goblins in act 1. When you talk to it with the potion or spell it will go back to your camp and kick it with the dog. Talk to it a few times and it will grow to like you while befriending Scratch. If the Smith Tiefing also makes it to act 3. You will get what was shown in the video. Do NOT try it on a durge run. At least in mine the mother was still killed by goblins even though I didn't even enter the cave. When I talked to the cub all I could do was talk it into fighting the goblins which got it killed.
I guess 9 fingers was bugged out for me. I literally did the entire guild quest and saved Minsc and killed the Zh-something guys for her. Then the enitre time the quest was stuck to ''Speak with the underduke'' i did, i use up all options, nothing ever happened, just that she agrees she will help in the fight to come. Made no sense. Also didnt know Wulbren could come? he got mad and left, Barcus was the one to replace him as leader too. He came. Also didnt know Yurgir could end up here lol, ended up killing right away. I liked Raphael at the time. (AT THE TIME OKAY, he was an entertaining part of the game!!!)
If you do the House of Hope, you can recruit Yurgir (even if you killed him earlier, he just respawns there). If you recruit him, he helps you in a boss fight in act 3 and if he survives he will agree to help you in the fight.
I was really expecting a discussion of what the allies do for you, and how useful they are. Some of them are awfully marginal, the ability they give you is just summoning some cannon fodder that might absorb a few attacks without doing much.

Me, after I clearly fucked up more than half of their missions I didn't know exited. "So this is how a good playthrough looks like".
Yeah same thing happened to me. Maybe you are supposed to talk to Nine-Fingers after you kill all the chosen idk..
I killed Gortash at his coronation which for some reason automatically destroyed the Iron Gauntlet, causing the Steel Watch Foundry to Blow up and kill the Gondians and Duke Ravenguard. So I was forced to have Wulbren as my ally.
“And my AXE!”
Balled my eyes out when I got to this
My baby T^T NOTHING SHALL HAPPEN TO MY OWLBEAR!
i dont understand why isobel and aylin didnt show up to my playthrough gathering thing when theyve been chillin at camp for two chapters waiting exactly for this
You have to do the Larroakan quest.
@abduljah9355 oof yeah skipped that one, didnt want her captured again or something lmao, "maybe if i just not tell her nothing bad will happen" derp
Damn Valeria calm down, LMAO!
my god valeria is fucking hilarious
How did you get wyll to show up in the room? I saved the duke and broke his contract and only duke ravengard showed up
in the dialogue you have to made him work for his father instead of going on his own path
Wyll was in their party.
@@fangzntalonzno.
@@fangzntalonz x2
Respect, killed a good bunch of those guys. Didn't know freeing Orpheus is the good path.
Wulbren AND Barcus? Pretty sure that's not possible as Barcus takes Wulbren's stead after the fuckery at the docks.
No fucking way you went all this time without talking to withers about the hirelings
That was how my first two runs went. I only used hirelings on my Durge run because I needed a 3rd while I waited to be able to recruit Minthara.
I was assuming the Gur would be here.
you can get them for this. as well as mol
Yeah it's Gur or Ascended Astarion's werewolf/undead minions which would have been Cazador's in an extra evil run.
thats why they are worth to skip. Kill...instead of finding cure and heal....
Zevlor is a real one. Too bad he died at my playthrough
I am surprised Thaniel does not show up.
He's tied to the Shadowlands, but Halsin pretty much stands as his proxy.
I remember there’s also a buff you receive that says it’s from Thaniel, a bit like the buff you get from “Volo’s words” - can’t remember what it did exactly though
@@trowell200 it was either a movement speed buff or +1 to all ability scores.
I feel like he was in mine but I don't recall how and only have the epilogue saved for each run so I can't go back and check.
In Durge runs, Withers is the one responding ''The very same. The champion we've been waiting for.'' to Beorn McRandomdude instead of Florrick. Why have Florrick say Withers' first line if he's still there?
For some reason Mizora doesn't appear as an ally, even though she says she will help
Her helping, in a good playthrough where you saved Wyll's father, is letting Wyll keep his powers despite his contract gone.
So don't break the pact but still save dad with cheese. I broke the pact both times. Saved dad the second so he was in my end game gathering scene that this video is about.
Honestly my favority Ally is Zevlor him and his team are bad asses they came on clutch everytime
Why there is not another Zevlor animation when you click on him? I need it.I mean... We have a Wulbren one :(
I notice you couldn’t get the gondians here and I don’t blame you
Zevlor lives?! Where in the 9 hells was he?!
😊 this is how my playthrough looked like
You can get Mizora to join you if you saved her from moonrise in Act 2. Though personally I wouldn't recommend doing that because she's pretty pathetic when you summon her to fight
She's good at counter spell mind flayer attacks
What are we some kind of guardians of the galaxy ahh scene
how did rolan end up as the master of ramazith's tower? i confronted loroakan with aylin and ended up killing him :(
I think you had to have convinced him to stay in the druids grove in act 1, then you need to rescue cal and lia from moonrise in act 2. also rescue rolan himself near moonrise from shades. then he will join you in the fight against loroakan in act 3 bc he's "seen what a true hero is like" or something
I saved him my second go through! I did not get to do the final battle yet though due to the bugginess of Act 3 after one of the recent hotfixes.
It feels weird when good alliance still has that radicalist gnome and evil doesn't have Mintara. Yeah, I fully realize "good guys" also have this Yurgir guy, but for me somehow he feels more like neutral than evil character.
You can get the Gondians as ally aswell, if you save them all from the foundry
but you gonna lose wulbren for that
@@elbirri but get Bracus, so you'll have the Gondians and the Iron Hands
@@KISAAAHHH with persuation check ofc and that's the bug in this video
Screw the Avengers, this is the real Endgame
You are missing one ally, the githyanki, if you free Orpheus you get voss and his dragon in battle.
Not sure how you got both Barcus and Wulbren, I thought one had to be chosen over the other
Both barcus and wulbren can be there during the final fight, what you chose was who leads the iron hand gnomes
he also misses the Gur
Voss te ayuda incluso si orfeo muere, pero cuando está por atacarte, debes persuadirlo e una escena previa a ésta.
Do any of the companions have lines during this cutscene like shadowheart, karlach, gale and so on?
How did you manage to get both Wulbren and Barcus onboard? It's either one or the other in my scenario.
Bug.
What about Voss, the Gur, and the Gondians?
You got Wulbren here... did you blow up the foundry?
I sided with Barcus and saved Gondians but the game bugged on me
@@Last666Dragonborn Seems like the Gondians alliance is just bugged in general.
No idea how much of the Ironhand story is buggy
But hey, from what i understand so far, it’s not entirely the Gondians fault. If we save Wyll’s father we learn, they’re being blackmailed after all. So far i think we should get an option to get the Ironhands and the Gondians make peace or a truce at least.
That stibb😢hostility makes no sense for me, as far as i have played at least
I was about to ask the same question, you need to act pretty evil to get him on your side at the end, killing people who were enslaved to do work against their will. Honestly, guy is a terrible person all round with his arrogance and self-flatulation being probably his most defining personality traits
See if they show up this time. :D
For some reason when I summoned both the ox and Aylin in the final battle the ox starts attacking my Allies
That's because the Ox is evil lol. Not sure how you recruited him as a good character
@@KimJungGoonerIt really isnt
zevlor got aggro's by a brain mid-dialogue so i coulkdnt recruit him b/c he wouldnt talk to me after.
Csn that owl bear join my party??!!!! I need it on my team!
You can recruit Mol as well
Now I’m wondering how you get some of these allies because some I missed but then like yugir i didn’t know he was an option
Wait, have you recruited gondians? they help too
How do you recruit Rolan????
I was really expecting a discussion of what the allies do for you, and how useful they are. Some of them are awfully marginal, the ability they give you is just summoning some cannon fodder that might absorb a few attacks without doing much.
3:23 wing ear flying elephant with a tophat, monocle, and pipe speaking in a regal voice.....this game never cease to continue amazing me 😅
Don't be fooled, this is one of the most annoying NPCs in the game.
@@istarilightwas worth becoming an unholy assassin of Bhaal and losing out on the city watch allies just to take out this uppity hollyphant
@@istarilight why is that?
@@elenalizabeth Ι suppose I can give some spoilers since it's been so long from the game's release : This here holyphant is supposed to solve a murder mystery, but is happy to base her assumptions on mere preconceptions, and call it a day. And even when you present her with info of how wrong she is, she insists that it is not enough, just because she wants to spend the day drinking at the local bordello. It is only after she is captured and almost sacrificed by cultists that she realizes how incapable she is to handle this situation.
@@istarilight ah so bureaucratic incompetency as usual. Yeah I’ll probably still help them because I am playing s good character. Well maybe more “morally grey” character, but still 🤷♀️
how did you get dammon? I did all karlach quest and gave him all the metals, but never saw him in the final battle
U need owlbear
How do i get that owl and giant in my camp??!!!! These are now my priorities
Gotta save the baby owl in the goblin camp ,
missing the gondians mizora thaniel to know the ones i remember right now
Man only nine fingers joined me WTF!!!
Where's Mol?
I unlocked Arabella too, but I'm not sure which power she offers... Couldn't find in my run.
Freedom of Movement for all your allies, even summons
May i ask what armor you have Jaheira in?
Dang i missed the gnomes somewhere!
I don’t understand. How do you get yurgir? He just attacks on sight when I found him?
Regardless of how you deal with him in the gauntlet, you can convince him to fight Ralph in the House of Hope. If he survives he will join you.
Mol has a dialogue too
Even tho I saved her Nine Fingers never showed up for the final fight. Neither did any of the gnomes. Typical.
Can you only either have Arabella or Mol? I had the same except it was Mol and not Arabella.
You don't have Mol if you tell her Raphael is dead cuz she was manipulated into liking him
To have Arabella you need to tell her about her parents' death and talk to her in the sewers
Ironhand Gnomes are evil right? Weird Gondians should be there
Barcus is "good" Ironhand Gnomes, but game is a bit bugged so you can get both Wulbren and Barcus (still 1 calldown)
how do you even get yourgir to help you
