I got an Xterra folding treadmill and this issue happened. Customer support said to clean the belt or something like that but it was only a few weeks old and hardly used on a hard floor in the living room. This video solved the mystery, thanks!
Oh yeah !! This video is right on the button for the exact noise coming from my new Precore treadmill 425 from the moment I initially started it up and began increasing the speed after putting it together. Thankyou so much for resolving my concern.
Thank you! I was planning to call customer support first thing in the morning. I have exactly the same thing happening in the video. Good to know it's normal. Subscribed.
Thank you! Just got our treadmill and it makes this noise. I was kinda worried, but that makes complete sense. Mine also makes that sound of the belt static/snow sound i guess thats normal as well?
Hello. Would this also be the case if there are printed words on the belt? Noise only seems to be when the printed name passes the roller. I am noticing the same noise, recently I loosened the belt to lubricate. I've had the treadmill over a year but not much use until recently where I am using maybe once or twice a week. Thanks.
So how long until it’s broken into? I usually run at speed 10-11 but lord at speed 7-8 i can’t even hear my music anymore. I have an everfit chi-450. Got it last night, used it this morning and was shocked.
I don't agree, I've 3 treadmills and this horizon at 7.8 at is the only one out of the box that is doing this........this is not normal.....infact the salesman said it was not normal and all the reviews I watched, everyone praised this treadmill for being quiet and durable
I can’t speak for your treadmill personally but there are many factors involved, roller diameter, belt size and thickness etc. Having been a treadmill tech for the last 16 years and installing thousands of new domestic and commercial treadmills I can say with complete confidence that this is a common thing. If you are unsure you should contact Horizon service department (not sales) and have them take a look

My ProForm Carbon TLX has the same issue. Should I make the belt loose a little bit? Thank you!
It should go away once belt softens after using it for a couple of months

Thanks! But it sounds twice the times that the joind Pass through... Why?
That’s because the join passes over the roller at both ends 🙂
