    Thanks for the advice. My NordicTrack 2450 was making horrible noises when the incline motor ran. Spraying the joints that you illustrated solved the problem and it’s bow super quiet!

    Just ordered treadmill for wife. Was very creaky.
    My particular machine (Dynamix T3000C) had a wooden running platform, and it would creak when just stepping on it.
    It was held in place by 8 bolts, accessed by sliding off the side rails. This platform is designed to flex in the middle, and the 4 central screws are supported by silicone spacers.
    I removed all the screws, liberally greased and replaced. No more creaks!

    I have a question regarding thumping noise, I can hear the thump sound everytime when the company sign(Reebok) which is on the belt goes around back or front roller, how I can fix that? Should I loosen or tighten the belt?

  • @wonton8983

    My Technogym squeaky, squeak, squeak was the base of the running platform rubbing against the rubber shock absorbers, you can see the rubber marks rubbed onto the platform. For want of another option and having some lying around, I cut some strips of leather and stapled them to the base of the platform where it contacts the shock absorbers, it may not last for ever but it's now silent.

    Hello,
    I have a WalkingPad C1 with moderate use. 2-3x a week, never at full speed, used as a quick walk device.
    It says 68km history. Bough in September 2020.
    I use silicone lubricant (the ones for treadmills) every 2-3months.
    Some time ago it has started to this this metallic, clinging, strutuctural noises. I have searched the internet but I can only find videos or advices on alignment or friction in the belt.
    It seems to me this is not the case.
    You can hear the noise, like a rythmic beat. It is the result of walking. Not the landing impact itself, but by alternating the weight in the left or right part of the structure.
    Even standing still, if I move myself in the belt, I get the same noises.
    And the noises seem louder than the video could record.
    I would say that it has some kind of loose struture, that allows the struture to suffer some tension.
    Does this make sense? Can it be repaired/adjusted?
    Can you point me to some direction, to some advice or youtube video?
    Is this serious or can I ignore it?
    The sound is a bit distressing even if it's not a problem.
    I have never seen no video like this.
    Thank you very much for your help!

    Mine squeaks when im turning off the machine or if i’ve been walking for too long. It sounds rusty? I don’t know how to explain it but it is a very loud squeak until it comes to a full stop. Any tips? Please help! I bought the machine 6-7 months ago. I lube the belt every 20 hours when the machine indicates and may top up a bit if i’ve been walking a lot. I clean under the belt where it meets the platform with a clean t shirt in between each lube.

      Looks like it says Gibbs Brands. Checked it out. It's an actual silicone spray. I see it's a year later but saw your question wasn't answered🤷🏾‍♂️

    My treadmill is making weird sounds from the motor area. The treadmill runs but my son said not to use it or it could start on fire. Where would I start to find someone to fix it? I can't afford a new one. Thanks!

    My cheap treadmill off Amazon creaks when and thumps when I turn on the ac. It sounds like plastic expanding or contracting due to a slight temperature change. Is this normal?

    • @charteredengineer
      @charteredengineer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi - yes I suspect this is normal. Please check the user instructions to confirm that you are using the machine within its design limits (ie. max user weight and frequency of use). You can also check that the machine is on a sturdy, level floor as this can also cause unwanted noises.

    My treadmill simply was not level on the ground, my apartment was slapped together cheaply and I have dips and inclines beneath my linoleum wood, lol.
    Hopefully that helps whoever it applies to.

    Arms how to tighten it

    • @charteredengineer
      @charteredengineer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Arms can be tightened at the top and at the bottom. There are usually 2, 3 or 4 fixings at each end so make sure all are secure. On some models there is also a cross bar for extra stability and this too should be tight.

    my plasic is creaking so annoying

    • @charteredengineer
      @charteredengineer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Try loosening the screws that hold the plastic ever so slightly. It sounds counter intuitive but sometime by releasing a little pressure takes away stress in the plastics and stops the noises!
