I cannot wait to get the fertilizer!! This is the first year I’ve researched all the how to’s… no wonder my baskets don’t last! I’ve been overwatering like drenching at night thinking they can make it thru the next days sun. I enjoy watering 2-3 times during the day. Can’t wait to use this!

Thanks for the video but you didn’t specify when you water do you water just the soil? Or do you water the flowers themselves as well?
I live in Windsor Ontario. I have the penthouse apartment on the 10th floor with a beautiful Northeren exposore. I get the afternoon sun on a northeren exposure. I purchased a bottle of liquid organic furtilizer and my begonias are growing and blooming their heads off. My leaves take a hit from an insect at night. Spiders seem tyo help eliniate this problem. Can I cul the bottom leaves as that look like they are about fall. My problem is severe storms that pop up over the great k lakes. I dont know how to prevent damage. So far they are ok. Regards Gerry

OMG thank you! Been trying to figure out which flower will be best in shade for my front porch 😃 all other annuals I’ve hung lose their blooms. Does heimalis do well in shade as well?

Hello! I usually plant begonias in ceramic pots and place them on my front porch, which has a shaded area. This year, I noticed that the flower petals are turning crispy brown. I am unsure if it is related to watering, as I am very careful not to overwater them. Do you have any advice? Thanks!!

I had that died after winter. I think it was due to overwatering and keeping them near a sunny window
Do the hiemalis ones come back I haven’t been able to find if they are perennial or annual on line it seems to be all over the place?
They are an annual.
Are hiemalis begonias and rieger begonias the same thing?
Yes, but the Hiemalis have small flowers.
How long can you keep fertilize that you have mixed but could not use it all
Usually a week or so if it is kept out of the sun and in a cool place (like a garage or garden shed, just be sure that no pets or children can get into it.)
My whiskey Begonia is dropping leaves from the bottom up… but there are tiny baby leaves growing at the top… is it healthy or not? What do I do?
New growth is good, you can pluck off any dead leaves or ones that don't look great and help to promote some growth. Watch your watering. You could be over-watering.
What are the light&dark purple flowers behind you?

If I fertilizer Friday every week, will I be in danger of over watering the begonias?
Just fertilize when appropriate if the plants are getting over-watered.
Will it die if they're given direct sunlight?
The leaves will show signs of "burning" if they get too much direct, intense sunlight.
What are the signs of over watering?
Yellowing in leaves is a sign, also if the flowers just aren't performing as they should. It can be easy to over-water begonias if they are in the shade because they may not dry down properly between waterings.
What is the easiest/best way to propagate the Reiger begonia? I have the brownest thumbs…HELP!
What if you just have a bunch of stems? My hanging basket begonias are all stem, looks kind of bad

Most greenhouse use continuous feed. U keep saying feed once or twice a week depending on plant. Is there a reason u dont do continuous?
The majority of people get the concept of fertilizing once a week and that works well. Constant feed is great too at a lower dose, most people by far just choose to remember "Fertilizer Friday."
