Hi, great video! Can you change which popout is being displayed on a certain tablet by keyboard shortcuts? My goal is to be able to change different popouts on a single screen by adding hardware buttons or an encoder to switch between them. Many thanks!
@billy454cid Hi and thank you for watching! I'm not sure because it sounds like that defeats the purpose of automating the pop out process. What you can do is make more profiles so if you are switching aircraft and configurations for your setup it would be beneficial. I'm curious to see how FS2024 is going to handle this aspect and hopefully it will be native.
Thanks for the instructions and have a few more videos on the topic of H145. I'm also currently building an H145 homepit. Can you tell me which LED pushbutton you used for the backlight? Thanks
@TheBlueDive Hi, all electronics are from ESC Cockpits however we have an awesome discord called the H145 project with a few people whom are experts in electronics. I would head over there. Thanks for watching!
I bought Air Manager recently so I can have PFDs/MFDs/FMS/FMC on a second monitor I was gifted as my eyesight is buggered due to my strokes and it destroys all immersion having to stick my nose up against my main monitor trying to read panels and gauges. I had all sorts of issues trying to get POPM working using various "tutorials" on here but I just followed this and got everything setup and working instantly without having to rewind and rewatch things. So thank you very much for sharing this, it was easily understandable. Now, do you use Lorby Axis and Ohs as I'm having trouble with that too 😜😊
@NeinIhFlyer Hi and thank you for watching. This video you commented on shows how to use pop out manager and setup touch for the small monitor that emulates the iPad. It's not hard at all to do thankfully. The display I'm using is this one: amzn.to/3BumapI
wow!! amazing set up!!!! I am a real H145 pilot myself. This is just great. I have so many questions. Do you combine your set up cockpint with VR using the mixed reality software? How do you have the force trim set up? I have a Virpil and took the springs out so it can stay in the position I desire, but the helo acts super weird. Best regards!
Hi, and thank you for your message-and most importantly, for watching! Just to clarify, I'm not a licensed H145 pilot. I did hold a Private Pilot License (PPL) for fixed-wing aircraft when I was younger, but I let it lapse after missing the bi-annual check. I’m planning on early retirement, and when that happens, I’m hoping to start helicopter lessons. Right now, my goal is to combine my H145 home cockpit with VR for a mixed-reality setup. I’m holding off a bit to see how platforms like Somnium Space evolve as more people start adopting it. I also feel like 2025 will bring new manufacturers and more innovations, which will be key for those of us with full-blown cockpit setups. At the moment, I don’t have the force trim system fully set up. I’m waiting for my Moza base to arrive, which I’ll be connecting to my Max Flight controls. Regarding the Virpil setup: make sure your dead zones in FS2020 are set to zero, and that your controls are configured to be fully linear. Also, take a look at the H145 tablet setup page-ensure the hands-on dead zones are high enough so your controls don’t override the autopilot with minimal force, but at the same time, allow you to override the AP with enough input when necessary. I’m actually working on a video right now that walks through the Max Flight controls setup, including details on the dead zone configuration. That video will be uploaded today, so feel free to subscribe and turn on notifications if you’re interested! I’ve got a lot of content planned. I recently posted a startup video, and after that, a real H145 pilot reached out with feedback about my battery switch, hydraulic switch, and test lamp switches. I’ve since ordered the correct ones, and I’ll be making a video of the entire process-disassembling the overhead, modifying it, and reinstalling everything. Thanks again for watching! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Clear skies and smooth landings!
@@Rotor-Sims wow, thanks a lot for your explanation. I am already subscribed and eagerly awaiting for more content. I can’t get that full max cockpit, but I want to get the Max Flight H145 cyclic with short goose neck and attach it to a Moza or Rhino ffb. About the AP upper modes, I’m planning some button set up like stream deck + . I’m going slowly, but getting there. Again, thanks! I’ll be watching your videos 🫡
@@adsilite Thank you so much for your support! I'm happy to help. The Stream Deck is definitely a solid option for managing your autopilot, especially with the convenience of the knobs for fine-tuning. Max and I are also working on setting up an affiliate code to help viewers save a bit while supporting the channel. He's currently producing a thicker gooseneck and adapters for the Moza to my specs and we're in the quality assurance phase now. I’ve just received confirmation that my Moza has shipped! I previously had the Rhino FFB, which, while a great unit, felt a bit bulky, and I wasn’t a fan of the external gears and belts. The Moza has slightly more NM than the Rhino, and I'm confident their software updates will catch up soon. I'm excited to get my hands on it and plan to make a video showcasing the gooseneck modification, adapters, and a demonstration of the force and trim release. Thank you!
