I can so see him writing this after his wife died. Her loss was tragic, but his music has been incredible ever since. SO much soul and emotion in every song.
While this song totally fits his life in that tragic situation, Gary didn't write this song. He did however, give it all the power and soul.

Gary Allan has always been one of the real artists who sound the same live as they do on their album. I miss the organ playing at the beginning and the guitar after the second chorus though. They really set the mood in the song on the album.
