Narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Wine is cursed from ten angles:
The wine itself, the one who squeezes (the grapes etc), the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who CARRIES it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who consumes its price, the one who drinks it and the one who pours it.” Sunan Ibn Majah.

cannot BELIEVE what he just said... carrying alcohol is HARAM
Al-Tirmidhi (1295) narrated that Anas ibn Maalik said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed ten with regard to alcohol: the one who squeezes (the grapes etc), the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who drinks it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who pours it, the one who sells it and consumes its price, the one who buys it and the one for whom it is bought.
    .

just some advice to the sister I used to work in a similar type of store dealing with Haram foods, movies music and the like but the best scenario is that I just worked very hard in what they gave me to do and when it became clear to me that I couldn't work in those specific sections I just simply asked to have to deal with sports equipment or furniture and because they felt they couldn't afford to lose a hard worker and I was polite they allowed me to. the most important this is that you present it with with kindness and have a strong standing with your manager

Yeah in terms of necessity true. You can do a lot of things in terms of necessity. But theres a lot of flaw in this. in the case where he said you can't find a job these days that doesn't have any haram. which isn't true. There's plenty of jobs where there is halal. He also used a vague Quran verse to justify it. And also, if you open the gate to one thing, a lot of people will justify there reasons for selling alcohol. People like you and I can understand where he may have been coming from, but someone just learning the deen wont be able to see it the same way.

Luigino Charles as dawah man said? not starting anything but the point I'm making our that I don't know her situation and if she really is in a situation where she has no other way to provide for her family then that is my advice to her, to at least put distance between her hands and the alcohol. I did watch his video and of the 10 avenues of being cursed wouldn't you agree that if she has to work there it is better for her to be involved in only 1 or 2 of those avenues rather than 5 or 6. the point is and I think everyone can agree with is that if she is genuinely stuck then it's best to minimize her involvement and once she can leave she does immediately. that's if she is genuinely stuck but if there is a way out and she isn't taking it all I can say it that is between her and her Lord.

In America majority of the Muslim store owners are either Arab or Indian. Some sell liquor stores, small markets that sells alcohol, meats, household items, packaged food. Some of even flirt or have relationships with their customers. Call them baby and other names. There is a one Muslim store owner who sells no alcohol or pork products in store. You'll find Turkey products. That's one store owner I do respect. Some cashiers can be sneaky and try over pricing products and lie about the costs one day then change it another.

I used to work in a city hall kitchen, preparing food for staff and cleaning dishes. My duties were mainly cleaning dishes, but one day the chef who was a really nice guy asked me to grab the bacon from the fridge and place them on a tray to put them in the oven, as he was very busy. I did it, but I did not touch the bacon physically, I used a tool to place the bacon on the tray and the chef did the rest. Ever since I have the feeling of having committed this big sin, thank you brother Ali for giving me peace with this video.

Sorry sheikh but your information is wrong. We are not even allowed to touch alcohol. Also even if someone is "scanning" the alcohol (I personally believe it's selling) he handed it to someone who drinks it and we all know what alcohol can cause. That person is basically responsible for that.

Naseeha sessions are going to clarify this matter with the truth. Anyone who takes these guys seriously who are passing baseless fatwas left and right, is either ignorant or upon their desires or both. I don't even understand what Ali is doing giving Hadad such a platform where he can announce to the masses that Uni loans (interest/riba) are halal and carrying alcohol is halal etc. Astaghfirullah.

You don't have to have in depth knowledge to understand the basics of your religion. And people who are actual students of knowledge will tell you the same; this ruling that Hadad pulled from the back of his pocket, is baseless. Quotes a vague Aya from the Quran as evidence. Narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Wine is cursed from ten angles: The wine itself, the one who squeezes (the grapes etc), the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who CARRIES it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who consumes its price, the one who drinks it and the one who pours it.” Sunan Ibn Majah.

SubhaanAllaah this is a misguided verdict the companions nor the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم gave incorrect verdicts like this. When khamr was made haraam every one who had some poured it up untill the city look as if there Was a river passing through it. There was times when the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and the companions tied stones to there stomach due to hungry never did they resolve to selling alchol. We are in the times when the people will take ignorant one as people of knowledge as the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said From Ibn Abbas who said that I heard the Messenger of Allaah - sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- saying: ‘Jibraeel came to me and said: O Muhammad! Indeed Allaah -Azza wa Jal - has cursed alcohol, the one who makes it, and the one who makes it just for himself, the one who drinks it and carries it, the one who it is carried to, its seller and the purchaser, the one who pours it and the one who it is poured for.’No. 839

It is haraam to drink alcohol or to sell it, carry it or help with it in any way whatsoever, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al‑Ansaab (stone altars for sacrifices to idols etc), and Al‑Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful”
    [al-Maa’idah 5:90]
Abu Dawood (3674) and Ibn Maajah (3380) narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has cursed alcohol, the one who drinks it, the one who pours it, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who squeezes (the grapes etc), the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who carries it and the one to whom it is carried.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood

      @abdul7945 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Ironman112.
The brother is 100% correct, may Allah reward him. Scanning haram items is approving of them and helping people to buy them, Muslims are not allowed to do this. Living in the west is not an excuse, even there you can easily find a job that doesn't contain haram, you don't need to work in a supermarket.
We are only permitted to do a haram job if there is an extreme necessity.
'It is not permissible to sell haraam things such as cigarettes, pork and so on, because that is helping in sin and transgression, and because when Allah forbids a thing, He also forbids its price. The cashier is the one who handles the sale directly, so it is not permissible for him to sell haraam things, and he is sinning every time he sells a haraam item. His sin is no less than that of the one who promotes it and the one who carries it, because he is the one who conducts the actual sale and all other activities are connected to what he is doing. '

Subhan Allah, so we are "here to stay" in the west but we are not ready to leave the haram jobs and keep the boundries of Allah? This is the exact reason i hate the fact that us muslims are here in the west. Compromise after compromise. Don't give me the "i was born here" argument. Rasulullah and the sahaba were born in makkah and never compromised in Makkah and stayed firm until they left because they couldn't fulfill their religion properly. Yet us muslims think we can use the example of Rasulullah when he lived in makkah for us in the west while we compromise! So sad! Imma leave when i finish uni insha Allah and i ask Allah to let all the western countries get people like Trump elected so they can stop my bretheren from migrating to these countries of fitnah and fasad.

I am a woman...I just left my last job because I realy think it wasn't good for me as a muslim to work there..
I was in a factory where food is made from pork and sale to non-muslims. I was working in a mix place with mens (another problem) and with people who spoke about sex too much...At the end I felt like if I was from another planet...
Anyway. I don't feel guilty anymore hmd !
I disagree with the video because even if I wasn't directly selling products to consumers, I think my job was haram...I found some answers in the Quran: (Hope my english is ok. Salam. 😉 Hope someone can read me)

Im sorry but I disagree. ANY handling wich helps facilitate the selling of alcohol/pork is haram. It's the like working at a bank while you don't own the money you do take notes about riba and the Prophet (pbuh) said in a Hadith it is haram to receive, to give AND deal with Riba!

From Jabir : The Prophet, , may cursed the receiver and the payer of interest, the one who records it and the two witnesses to the transaction and said: "They are all alike [in guilt]." (Muslim, Kitab al-Musaqat, Bab la'ni akili al-riba wa mu'kilihi; also in Tirmidhi and Musnad Ahmad)

very important point he mentioned was what the scholars said when Haram is prevalent in a society. I.e alcohol pork cigarettes.
why are people acting like they living in Islamic state. if your in the west in a weak position then expect fatwa like this. if your in Islamic state where sharia is 100% in law and belief then you will have true Islam.

It doesn't take a scholar to know that alcohol is haram. So in this case as I not drinking the alcohol I can work in a pub and work in nightclubs where alcohol is present as I am not drinking it. Also I don't think that that is the only answer. Go to the job centre a seek job seekers allowance. They is not excuse on the matter of alcohol. Alcohol is the mother of sins

I was angry at myself saying that is not an excuse Allah won't accept your salah and then I would stop praying and go back to salah and on and off every month. Maybe the Shaykh should have stressed on the necessity point more, however, those criticizing him for this are either people, who do not realize that most of the jobs in the West, due to the nature of the cooperate and financial systems here are strictly speaking not Halal or they are people who live from "Sadaqah" coming from the British Government, so in other words, they are being fed by the Kuffaar Government. This option is obviously also something, which the Naseeha Gang is attracted to.

This is completly off subject, but Ali Dawah can you ask the Sheikh this question and can he go into the details of Ayah in the Quran: O you who have attained to faith! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for your allies: they are but allies of one another and whoever of you allies himself with them becomes, verily, one of them; behold, God does not guide people who are unjust. (Quran 5:51)
Does this mean that muslims can't be freinds with jews or christians?

Prime example of how you shouldn't blindly follow someone just because he has knowledge. Ali is falling pretty deep into the ikhwaani pit...
Clearly his "specific" fatwa goes up against crystal clear ahaadeeth that regard this matter.
Wouldn't expect no less from someone following the shadow of yusuf qardaawi, author of halaal wal haraam that goes on to blatantly 'halaalize' stuff that are explicitly known as haraam..
May Allaah guide us all and keep the false teachings from people like this away from us.
And I hope brother Ali realize that by letting videos like this online on his channel may make him a medium that lead people astray. May Allaah guide him to the truth

The amount of comments on this video just shows how delusional many Muslims are in our age, self-proclaimed (internet) shuyukh who probably don't even study the religion and don't even go to most of the lectures and study groups. I've seen this so many times across the West. People "disagreeing" with learned and educated people, and on the other side don't know the last 10 chapters of Qur'an by heart, and let's not speak about tajweed and other basic stuff of Islam.

Okay. I normally love these videos however I have a problem with the idea that women should only be mothers. I am at university hoping to eventually get a good job and y'know supporting myself and my family. Obviously if my job was incredibly haraam I wouldn't do it. But in the video the Sheikh says that find a job with the least amount of haraam and surely a religion like Islam applies that to both genders. I mean Islam was the first religion where women were given rights and respected as well-educated members of society. Surely this means that they should be allowed to work and not just be restricted to a house for life?

Bothers me a lot to see sisters working outside like a man. As long as their is no need for a sister to work outside, then she should remain with her family and earn the wisdom of her mother to become a even better mother to her children in the future. There is seriously no benefit for a women to work outside. You will only become uglier, more ignorant, have less love for your family, lose the very needed motherlove to your children, your heart will turn rough and overall you will be less loved UNLESS you *have* to work to provide for them but even then all those mentioned attributtes will still by time make you that way because Shaitan knows how to divide families.

    Praise be to Allaah.
I do not think that you want us to decide for you between two serious major sins, the sin of gambling in the lottery which Allaah has forbidden in verses that will be recited until the Day of Judgement, in which He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al‑Ansaab (stone altars for sacrifices to idols etc) and Al‑Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful
Shaytaan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allaah and from As‑Salaah (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?”
    [al-Maa’idah 5:90-91],
and the sin of selling pork and alcohol which Allaah has also forbidden.
Is this what the Muslim accepts, to be given the choice between major sins? Is this the life that he is striving to attain and enjoy?
I do not think, as you are a Muslim who is proud of his Islam and strong in faith, that you will be happy to sell something so evil that has corrupted the world and filled it with oppression, evil and corruption. Alcohol is the mother of all evils, and gambling is consuming people’s wealth unlawfully, and pork has been definitively forbidden by Allaah. In fact the prohibition of these things is one of the most prominent symbols of Islam, so the Muslim should not stoop to such a level that he sells things that will anger the Lord, may He be glorified and exalted.
Yes, it is not permissible under any circumstances whatsoever for a Muslim to sell evil things to people, even to non-Muslims, because by doing that he is participating in the spread of sin and cooperating in disobedience to Allaah and going against His commands.
On our website there are many fatwas which discuss this issue and affirm that it is haraam for a Muslim to participate in selling haraam things, even to non-Muslims. See the answers to questions no. 1830 and 40651.
You can make an agreement - if you have no choice but to remain in that country - with the owner of the grocery store that you will not sell lottery tickets, and you will only sell permissible things in the store.
What is this situation in which you have ended up, that you are thinking of doing haraam jobs? The situation of many Muslims in that land is no more than the natural result of settling among the kuffaar and in a kaafir land, far from the Muslim world, because the kaafir society is not regulated by guidelines and no attention is paid to the commands and prohibitions of Allaah, whereas Muslim societies adhere to a large extent - praise be to Allaah - to the limits set by Allaah. Hence we advise you to study the fatwas published on our website about the rulings on settling in kaafir countries. Please see the answer to questions no. 13363 and 27211.
