To everyone asking "Why not the Flash?" I began researching him but the results were *incredibly* similar to my Superman video if we restricted Flash to near light speed travel. Also, when making a video with the Muppets (owned by Disney) it makes sense to use a Marvel character (owned by Disney) instead of a DC character (not owned by Disney). Flash is cool. Quicksilver is cool. People can like multiple superheroes. Also, pause at 1:05.
**side note: if we include speed force it kind of makes it so nothing bad would happen.

I have a question Vsauce3 man. In Fantastic 4 The human torch lit up to super Nova. Or to the temperature of the sun. So what would really happen if someone were to heat up to the surface of the sun on the earth? I will keep asking this until you respond.

Omegeddon But lightning is instantaneous and that temperature diffuses incredibly fast. Human Torch would be sustaining that amount of heat over a long period of time, which would show actual effects.
As for the original question, as George Andrei helped show, the example of a pinhead at the temperature of the sun would occur, but it would likely be the initial effect. It would probably end up evaporating the atmosphere entirely and burn its way through the planet, destroying it almost completely, leaving only a few fragments of rock to remain if anything, according to my understanding at least. But that is assuming that Human Torch's powers limit themselves to only an inch or so above his skin, through whatever comic bullshit reason the writers give him, in which case, yeah, nothing much will happen unless you get very close to him.
Take into consideration that Invisible woman had to use a shield around Human Torch to keep it contain. But he went super Hot nova. Just fun to think about what would actually happen had he not be protected.

For anyone wondering why they shouldn't use the flash, its because Flash has his own weird nonsense comic book science called the Speed Force that does not respect the laws of physics and is completely theoretical, meaning he can go at speeds many times faster than the speed of light.
And Quicksilver is just a mutant that has way faster reaction and movement speeds. My question is, was the scene in days of future past realistic?

He doesn't have to slow down his mental processing thanks to relativity, astronauts travel at speeds similar to that of QuickSilver and they don't have to slow down time

Andrew Paul I'm no professor of English but maybe it's situational irony? I don't even know if it's irony at all. Knowing Jake, he can makes things funny and I'm pretty sure most of the humor in this is just for narration and theatrics. Whatever it is, it's not trying to be funny. Take for example, the TH-cam channel LAHWF. In some of their videos, they parody and make fun of big pranks that use clickbait and over dramatic scenes to attract views. They do exactly the same as those big prank channels but as a joke, in a way of exposing them. Not saying the humor in this video is meaning to do that, it's just kind of the same principle, almost making fun of humor by being stale and cringeworthy. I honestly don't know what I'm saying right now.

Actually, the speed force sort of forbids him to build wind and pick up small things; he can only do that when he is running in a circle.
It (the speed force) also protects other people from harm by the wind and the cause of the oozing blood.
So I'm conclusion, the flash is faster, but less dangerous than quicksilver.He is also way cooler and has a better back story, and he has his own show, which is pure perfection.

No...he is not. If you are judging by metahuman based powers, Quicksilver's powers are physical and enhanced by a drug. The Flash's come from the speedforce which exists in all DC universes. The Flash has no limit on his speed, he's run multiple times the speed of light before. They are judging two non-canon TV/Movies against each other, in one it's featuring an early episode of the Flash where he hasn't even begun to realize his potential yet.

I mean... it seems to me like ya, he would maybe cause some degree of destruction but not as much as a tornado would
Kevb0ardGames I wondered that too, if he is travelling as fast as he is, would the wind he creates last very long before it starts to settle down again? A tornado can pick things up and carry them long distances because the wind speeds keep going for long periods and keeps whatever it picks ups in the air for a period of time.
However, Quicksliver, running past would just create wind for a short period before it began to settle as there would be nothing to keep the wind going like with a gale/tornado. Granted the wind Quicksilver creates would be quite powerful, and do quite some damage to whatever it hit like take tiles of a roof, uproot a tree, move a mailbox etc... but I don't think the damage would be over a wide as area as tornado damage is. Wouldn't the damage be only in the close direct path of wherever Quicksilver went?
He would be constantly creating the winds, and pushing them with him, so I think they would be carried along, but I'm not sure. It's a brilliant question!
Kevb0ardGames The most logical thing to do here is to look at similar cases. I'm a very lazy person so I'll just suggest to you that you look into how much damage supersonic aircraft can do during low passes to get an idea of how a much less aerodynamic and much faster object would disturb the surrounding air and objects.

Me: Basically, if he ran past a fangirl of his.... the fangirl would attempt to chase Quicksilver faster than he could ever run himself. Imagine the possibilities if the fangirl actually managed to chase Quicksilver... that would be an equivalent of more than 10 avalanches.

Master of Mundus the friction immunity thing is a terrible example it can be disprove by one of the most basic laws of modern physics newtons first law of motion
every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force
so the speedsters would need to create the force of friction if they ever want to slow down or turn else they just move in a strait line at a constant speed forever
heck they probably wouldn't even be able to run at all and just fall over since the entire world would be more slippery than an ice skating rink.

Clearly "immunity" isn't the most accurate term. Nobody is saying it is. It is simply the most convenient and simple way to describe the ability of all speedsters to selectively resist certain effects of friction (such as drag) in order to move as quickly as possible.

Quicksilver is the son of a supervillian, has a twin sister who could destroy all of reality, is part of an oppressed minority, and has been both a hero and a villain. In other words, he's *way* more interesting, and compelling than the Flash.
Flash does not own the concept of super speed. By that logic, Flash is just a wanabe Mercury, or Hermes.

Also he beat an alien in a teleporting machine both heading to Earth starting at a completely different Galaxy, insanely far away from the Milky Way, and it took him less than a plank second, which is the smallest time measurement we have, so I guess teleporting isn't actually instantaneous.
