Welcome to another episode of Amphibious Analysis, today we are looking at a varient unit of the acguy and thats the agguguy.
The aggu is a CQC varient equiped with 4 heat rods he is a strange MS with a questionable up bringing
This episode I wanted to have a very light BGM IDK if it was a good idea or not

Agguguy he's the extremely chill guy of amphibious squad and i don't know why
Compound eyes have an extremely large field of vision. Having a large mono-eye with a massive field of vision could be useful in a CQC mobile suit because it would allow the pilot to see everything in front of it more easily, ie no blind spots where the eye is looking one way and the enemy is coming from another direction, unseen.
Really wish they would make a modern model kit of this one, my amphibious shelf has an Agguguy shaped hole
odd how he dosent have a new one since every other AM got one. that and Id like a new hg agg, we dont have anything remotely modern for the both of them

Agg even showed up in GBF. So this leaves the question; would a new Agg kit be in HGUC or Build Fighters?

The Thunderbolt version looks similar to the Gundam G-self series mobile suit from the Saturn 🪐 like colony.
From what I have been told by clan members of mine who know a whole lot more about Gundam than I do, they didn't start adding actual stats of any kind until zeta or double zeta. That's when they went back to the older gundams and rewrote stuff so it would make sense.
As to the letters after each designation number, they told me that some of them have an English designation. "D" for Desert being a perfect example that you also use, but that the "K" from MS-06K Zaku Cannon, is derived from the Japanese word for cannon which is Kyanon (cannon) or Kyokusha-Ho, which translates to cannon, or high-angled gun (I looked the Japanese words up and that's what Wordhippo gave me).
yeah originally the og run was all regular GMs and zaku i and 2's but later after the run MSV came out which expanded on the MS giving varients lore and stats plus in general they started doing that zeta foward. luckly there are some model letters are similar in english like the desert but there are a handful of MS that even in jp or eng ppl are not too sure what it stands for but its fun to look at things in a in-universe way and trying to figure things out like that
Going with the Germanic thing they could also just translate it into Kanone. That makes sense for Zeon
@@xenon3990 zeons model naming scheme is confusing and makes it a pain in the ass to figure it out since it could be a word in english, german or jp

I get that this is an old video but I just randomly had an idea for an "Agguguy Custom" or whatever you call it. If you used the Gouf Custom's Heat Wire instead of the Heat Rod and essentially turn it into a mobile suit sized taser. Imagine a GM Cannon defending a chokepoint, the Agguguy Custom would sneak in with it's natural acguy stealth and fire it's dual heat wires at it and tase it, essentially eliminating that suit while making no noise for the GM Cannon's buddies to hear and letting your team cross it.

I got Zogok, zock, Juaggu and Acguy all on my HG Zeon shelf and I’m just hoping Agguguy gets a hguc kit. Sadly didn’t make it into unicorn I don’t think? It’s design is so freaky.
The aggu guy only got a single non-grade kit that came out in the 80's. Wish we got hg of him dosent seem too difficult. Would also like the agg
@@slothcakes The best is talking to regular anime fans about Gundam and without fail if I bring up any Aquatic Zeon Mobile suits name it gets funny, they're like explaining a strange zoology but with all VERY similar names (that also sound as alien as their designs). Even I forget about the Agg (it would make a cool HG). I've always wondered if there is a name scheme or pattern for them. the Agg looks like the Zogok/Zgok somewhat...but his name is closer to Agguguy.
The agg is a odd one its not a amphibious ms with its model being EMS not MSM. being just a drilling unit it should be able to operate in water somewhat well but because its always gets depicted with the acguy and other MSM its always mistaken for one plus it just looks like zeons amphibious ms and the name dosnt help, wish we had a hg

@@slothcakes at 13:48 is the small hole at the tip not a beam cannon barrel?
@@sebastianthomsen2225 depending on the depiction there is a small hole and some not but that is not a beam weapon most likely having to do something with its arm being able to spin around.

Maybe the mono eye is similar or a prototype of of the composite mono eyes of the Rick dias and a few other ms of the grips war

eventually its on my radar and one of favorites plus has a goofy lore
And these things were being made into toys. They were coming up with whatever they could for the kids and if toy companies don't have the (next) big thing out by the Christmas season (yes, even in Japan), it'll hurt the bottom line.
That's the reason for the crazy crap they come up with. It's the same stuff over here with He-Man and Transformers. I love'em though! The Japanese beat us when it comes to weird toy designs.
Yeah and because of that we got some crazy ideas, but it's also fun to see how they explain it in universe
