@@noelfitzmaurice2620 Yes got my first day out on the Mourne 2 weeks ago and finished with a fine fish about 10lb. Heading off to Mayo for a few days at the beginning of August. I might be tempted to call down with you for a day or two if (as I expect) our trip to Boston is cancelled in early September. Regards to Glenda... fine fish she got while you had to watch!

Rod - 13'6" Ian Gordon prototype by Cadence
Reel - LTS Odin (I think)
Line - LTS Skagit (625grains app.)
Tip - LTS Skagit Inty
Tippet - Rio Powerflex 15lbs
Fly - Gold Bodied Willie Gunn #8

Hi Bait Runner, they're fantastic rods offering a lot of flexibility to suit the anglers casting rather than the angler needing to suit the rod , the two videos in the description talk about them in more detail, tight loops , Noel.

No worries, Stevie Munn is the guy to talk to about them in Northern Ireland. Keep your eyes peeled as efforts will be ramped up to allow people to get their hands on them as soon as travelling safely is a runner. Noel.

Dont think it matters because they are in the water and blending in with the blue sky, that's why most fly lines are sky blue, it would be different if it was a narrow river and you were standing on the bank then you would be more noticeable
