Did you find out how much it costs to replace that part? I see on eBay it's only $35.80 for the part compared to over $300 at the Toyota dealership. Also what was the result of the replacement part you switched it out with? Our vehicle just threw up the P2714 code from the OBDII scanner and it's been giving that forward jolt action after a certain RPM and only from gears 4-6. Gears 1-3 doesn't cause any jolting sensation.
@@f.j.a.2396 We took our vehicle into Toyota, and found out that they recommended a new transmission. There were other solenoid codes that came up and gears 4-6 slipped completely and didn't even engage anymore. You could only drive the car manually shifting between gears 1-3 only. So the car is now waiting to get a new transmission installed. Good luck on your vehicle, hopefully you get to use it for a long while before the tranny gives up its last breath. I'd recommend you keep money on the side for a tow just in case. The cost for a new tranny from Toyota is about $7k USD. Thankfully we got an extended warranty which will cover all major parts and repairs right before it went bad. So a tiny fraction out of pocket is much better than paying that price to the dealer.
How many miles do you have when that code came and how was it now?
Thank you for this !
Do I need to refill transmission oil
The SLT solenoid is the first one next to the blue one.

I got the part at Olathe Toyota in Kansas. It was $189. The problem improved, but the jolty shift did not go away.
@@f.j.a.2396 Sounds like a possible transmission rebuild might be necessary then you think?
@@npham54 Sounds like it. But before we commit to lots of Thousands of dollars in repair, might as well keep using it until it really breaks down.
