I know you got the heel issue in the first iteration but I really love the first version. First shoe I've hit with the 1000km total mileage. The shoe seems to last forever. Can't wait to try this 2nd version.
Few know that PUMA has revised the heel adding some more padding behind the Achilles in later productions of PUMA Deviate Nitro 1. That had solved the rubbing and blister problem in original productions. They seem to listen and address these sorts of problems mid-season. Anyway, version 2 looks like a better version.

Puma and Skechers, the best shoes for the money these days. It's easy to put a good shoe on the market for 150 - 200 € (Asics, Saucony, NIke). How about putting a good shoe on the market for 120 €? I still use my Deviate Nitro 1 and I have seen Deviate Nitro 2 offered for 120 €. Chris, is there any significant difference between Deviate 1 and 2?
Thanks for the content Chris, to the point as usual which is refreshing on TH-cam. Question for you, and I know it's subjective. I'm new to running, started in June, first 10k event last weekend, I use Saucony Peregrine 12's as my trail shoe (love these), a pair of Adidas Solar Glide for longer treadmill runs (don't love but they do the job), what you recommend as a faster shoe for tarmac and the occasional flat parkrun that might cross a few light gravel sections etc, Saucony Speed 3? Nitro 2? NB Rebel v2.

Thanks for this! I'm torn between getting these or the Velocity Nitro 2 for my first marathon. What do you think? It's a spring marathon so I'll be training through the winter, and sadly I don't have a Puma store near me that I can try them both, so going off what people have said. What do you think's best for marathon training? Thanks!

Coz of the cross terrain these are a good shout because of the outsole and price
