Hi Steve. Good to see that you’re you’re injury is improving. I still think this tightness in your quad could be referred pain from your hip. A few weeks ago you had some hurdles out in your warm up. Hurdle walk over drills are amazing for freeing the hips. Also do you do much static stretching? Pigeon pose from Yoga is also worth trying. Don’t think anyone on here can criticise your approach. We all know our own bodies and what works for us. Focus on your plan it’s working well so far. Stay healthy 🙏
@@Masters_Sprinter Thank you! Looking forward to working on my speed endurance..everyone caught up, or I ended my race after 30m 🤣🙈 The 300m I wasn’t too happy with the lane draw, but it meant I could use the blocks, have never used blocks on the banks. Managed to run my fastest 300m so far, so I will take that 💅🏿 Really contemplated not running the 300m🤏🏿 So glad I did though🎉
Have you tried scraping the tight quad with balm and scraping tool (dinner knife should suffice)? - really helps me when I get tightness near the hip area
Hi - it is a 10% incline, so 60m in distance. Did them as 80m repeats this morning - I suppose it is the equivalent of pulling one of those weighted sled type workouts, although the incline isn't super hard.

Triangle and reverse triangle pose are my number one mobility poses. Amazing for hips and hammies.
Good week back from injury Steve👍
Good week of running, glad you are working towards the Eastern Masters Champs next year, a good target. Keep up with the kettlebells strength work!
@@Niketa.A enjoy today - I’ll be scanning the results!
@@Niketa.A well run today - was watching on the live feed. Tough lane draw for the 300m. Cracking start for the 60m - all that practice really showed.

You have excellent running form 👍
@@JohnSmith-rx2uv Thanks John - I put that down to growing up on a grass track as a kid.
Indeed he does....
Regarding the hill work, was that 60m vertical elevation gain or 60m total in length?

@@Masters_Sprinter Thanks, I had just found your channel and am following your progress. Good luck in your meets!
@ Thanks - it seems to be all about avoiding injuries and niggles as I get older. Fingers crossed!
