- Christian von Koenigsegg continues to surprise us with his inventions. This is the new Jesko! This car is designed to break the 300mph/482km/h mark. It is also destined to break the Agera RS record. These speeds have already been successfully tested in a simulation. If all goes to plan it will become the fastest production car in the world!
The car cost approx US $3 million.

Yes, that is nice to see. The explenation might be that he is also the founder and a developer of the car. Like Bill Gates for Microsoft, Christian Koeningsegg has a true connection, love and interest to the product. It´s the making of the code/car that are those persons motivation. It´s not the money or the ego boost as I would expect most other high status CEOs drive to be.

The appearance on "Jay Leno's Garage" is why I want a USED Regera (no chance I could ever get a Jesko). The Regera is the ancestor of the Jesko - and has a similar powertrain. Check out BOTH reviews of the Regera - both SupercarBlondie's review AND that on Jay's.

I would like to see what would Koenigsegg come up with for a Le Mans Hypercar category in WEC in the future, albeit they are reluctant to participate.
Mercedes and Ferrari are the top players right now. With the displacement restricted to 1.6 liters i don't think even Christian can do much here

The most interesting piece of information was the news about the 'multi-clutch' transmission. That's a brilliant progression from the Dual clutch. Banging down with a single push of the shifter to the optimal lower gear really is a fabulous idea. I can only imagine the technology that went into it. Great interview, Alex. Really great interview. You and Christian are two people I could listen talk about cars all day long.

It takes a fast revving engine but they lightened the crank and reduced turbo lag so.
They have two shafts with six gears and six clutches. It kind of works like one of those bike derailer gears, but with clutches for each gear and no chain.

You are a pro interviewer. Having your guest speak their mind, you listen and respond to what’s being said. Most you tubers are too focused on their own performance which is really secondary to what amazing things you are showing and people you talk to. Thank you for a great episode!

I’ve been following Koenisegg since 2007 😂 I remember my mother taking me to the theater to watch Redline(I thought it was a great movie) at the ending scene they had a CCX right next to an Enzo. Excited I was, do you people not know what in the world has just been revealed to a kid? I knew everything about the CCR, the shape was just amazing and pleasing to the eye. Now the Jesko is aero inspired automobile with the performance that will instantly give you a Pilot status.

Koenigsegg agera's monstrous version was the Koenigsegg One 1 and Regera's monstrous version is the new Jesko. I love Koenigsegg's car, it's a dream, the sweden dream.

Euhm no the Regera is a hybrid car with no gearbox, The jesko is the new version on the previous Agera. 40mm longer, 4 wheel steering, all new suspension. Bigger turbo's but it's said that the Lag is nonexistent do to some aircompression technology and nozzles in the air intake.

I think that is a poor comparison. The ONE:1 program sure was based on the Agera chassi. But with so many changes.
However the Regera and the Jesko have two completely different chassis to accommodate their features.
I just love the fact that they make changes to the design and keep evolving to make the best possible Koenigsegg of the present day.
@Janusha What's the definition of horsepower rating? That's the maximum output at any moment by the car. The Regera can with all its might produce a maximum of 1500 horsepower. So no, the car does not clearly have more. Either make a list of the different engines/motors or the total output. The rating works, the car cannot just magically perform the work of 300 extra horsepower at any time.
I did not comment to say that the Regera isn't powerful. But I want people to have the correct facts on hand and use the numbers right. So yes, the sum of the different outputs is a number. But that is not a car's horsepower.
And I said just that: The ONE:1 was based on the Agera chassi.
After watching this I can say that no other manufacturer can stand a chance with Koenigsegg

Richard Smart Speed isn’t the hard thing if you can build a good engine. But you see less Bugatti’s on racetracks than you see Koenigseggs. They just handle better.
