Imagine if he knows all that technical stuff of his cars in such detail (mechanical, electrical, aerodynamic and materials), he must know all the financial stuff of the company, PR, HR, business relations, and so on. This guy is an animal! And being so humble also! He is one of a kind and I am sure Koenigsegg will be soon one of the leading automotive company and I'm guessing not only automotive but in many future industries. I bet he will go aerospace soon. Mark my word.

Respect for his courage and conscientiousness in each and every detail. Look at his factory. It is like a toy. Accurate, smartly designed and ironly logical.... Bravo, Christian.!!!👍👍👍👍

Toured the old factory with my so in 2016. My son was obsessed with their cars at the time (a precocious 10 year old). He wrote CVK a letter before our visit to Sweden and he got to meet with him after the tour. He spoke to my son at length, answering his questions - a true gentleman and a brilliant automotive innovator.

I am not the biggest fan of Koenigsegg's styling but I do have immense respect for Christian and his team. To build a car company out of nothing and then do everything in-house. Even a company like McLaren for instance didn't design their own engine or Aston Martin sourcing their engines from Mercedes same goes for Pagani and there are a lot of other examples.
And Koenigsegg not only built their own engines and transmissions but they are cutting edge in doing so. For such a relatively 'small' company that more than just impressive.

He only forgot to mention walking away from that impossible jump, nonchalantly, and proceeding to the next challenge on the obstacle course utterly convinced of his eventual success.

He's the thinking man's hero, isn't he? Everything he comes up with, I kind of kick myself for not having come up with it first. Or having dismissed it immediately, where he gave it a real shot. No other brand is so innovation-positive. I bet they invest a lot in lost cause approaches, but they learn from it and they come out on top with stuff that makes other brands seem ultra lazy and overpriced.

When I worked at Caterpillar's Large Engine plant in Lafayette, IN we had a hovering "chassis" that you put the engine on (up to 60,000 lbs or ~27,000 kg) and mounted it to that outside of the dyno room, then hovered it in to the dyno room and hooked it up. Then run an 8,12, or 16 cylinder engine making up to 5000 hp and 30,000+ lb-ft and turbos bigger than most automotive engines! You wore double ear protection (weren't supposed to be in the dyno room while running but I was working on exhaust heat shielding and needed to get thermal images and adjust the fabric shields) and you could have someone yell at your ear and not hear them at all. You felt it in your whole body especially when we loaded the engine.

Love the way everything on the car is made in-house, and made with Swiss watch attention to detail. Innovation is unreal, world leading engineering....one amazing entrepreneur with his expert team. Thanks for the insight.

The craziest thing is you would intuitively think because most of these things are brand new and have never done before, you’d think they’d go through growing pains and some components wouldn’t work as advertised. But they do. Which makes it all the more crazy. They got it right the FIRST time.

This completely explains why their cars are the price they are and gives you another level of respect for the car if you are lucky enough to own one. James, I wish you could convince Damon and Dave to get one, lol.

You could feel CVK's passion for the engineering stuff through the tour. He was geeking out showing off that crazy dyno/aero room for example. Those torque vectoring 3-ton hover-dyno's at 1500 nm each were wild.

This is what happens when passion and vision come together to build a company. Other brands CEO´s have much more of a corporate attitude, sometimes not even aware of whats going on at the engineering departament. Whats sets CVK apart is his true passion for the subject and envolvement on everything the coompany does. A truly inspirational character!

This is my first time watching this and it's the closest thing to how I imagined future of vehicles would become when I was a teenager.
The level of precision, care and dedication is inspiring. Right now, it really makes most of the industry feel like dust.
    Thankyou for the video.

Love anything with details on Keonigsegg! I had to LOL when they went through the electric nutrunner portion. I work for another automotive manufacturer and we also use Atlas-Copco electric tooling. We using the exact same tools, controllers, and programs shown in the video. Never thought I'd see the equipment I manage daily to build very "normal" vehicles anywhere near a Koenigsegg build process... might be time for a career change!

Koenigsegg is what everyone thinks ferrari is. Please dont let this company get swallowed up by an auto group! This is one of if not the most innovative car companies on the market today.

The hell james, the video ended way too soon - need more of Christian, just hearing him talk brings me to what I love about cars, the way they're made, how they feel, how they speak to us petrolheads. Thank you Christian for being so humble and open, and thank you james for bringing these amazing videos

I love his passion for the cars, most CEO’s are just there for the business end of things but it looks like he loves his job. Christian seems like such a nice guy and he really knows his cars. Koenigsegg has always been one of my favorites, and every time I see him take someone around the factory he talks to them like an actual person and not like some 4 year old. Love this brand so much and I can’t wait to see what they have in store!

The respect I have for Christian and the Koenigsegg team is humungous, he can take you to a factory tour and explain every single thing to nuts and bolts in detail, this man is a fricking genius! More over their factory looks like an automotive science lab, it is so cool! So glad James joined the Koenigsegg family cause their cars will go down in history for sure.

Oh wow!!! Just wow. Whilst Porsche, Aston, Lamborghini and even Ferrari chase mainstream with their SUVs and so on, these guys and Pagani and Rimac etc come out of the ground. GT car, Supercar, Hypercar, the spirit lives on. Necessary. Essential. Absolutely love it. 🔥
