We haven't even got the the field and are putting more upgrades on. this time it's Devloo Mud Scrapers to ensure we have perfect seed placement and depth
Two questions. First, do those stoppers come with the scraper kit or do you gotta order those from Vaderstad? And secondly, why wouldn’t they just make a bracket that is mounted to the back of the packer wheel spindle(where the rectangular slot is) And have it in a way where the main part of the scraper bracket is pointed toward the rear of the Packer wheel and you wouldn’t have to worry about hitting the frame or anything else? I mean to me that just seems like the simplest thing to do but I could be wrong.
Yes it comes with the kit. I think 14 were included. The easiest place to mount would be the straight off the back but when it’s there the mud falls straight down into seed furrow. Not a major issue but can cause problems with delicate crops like canola. Once the mud has had a chance to ride the tire up to the top it is more likely to fall off to the side
@@AxiomAcres OK yeah that makes sense for sure. We have a 2020 Vaderstad 80/10. And we’ve been getting a lot of rain this spring, which is unheard of. It’s been very dry the last few years. So today we were actually talking about maybe putting a set on
@travishildebrandt3631 they’re not always needed but sure are nice to have. Lots of guys around here don’t use them, but we need them on the hills. Very tacky ground. I wouldn’t run without them after having them. Where are you?
