    Hey you can't show taking the conveyor off the cradle and then magically it's under your trailer. I want to see all the ****ing around hitting the wrong remote button over and over and moving the trailer 12 times. hahaha

    • @AxiomAcres
      @AxiomAcres  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We only had to move the trailer 4 times to get the proper distance on our first fill. Lol. But there was definitely a lot of wrong buttons pushed and some swearing. Definitely needed both hands otherwise I would’ve filmed.
      Dad hit a wrong button on Saturday and nearly broke my hand. Squashed between the conveyor handle and the trailer jack brace. Had I been holding the handle any lower it would have been broke for sure. Just bruised behind my pinky knuckle

    That’s how those carts are they do t hold what they say our C850 Deere carts hold just as much going by the weights

    There's no way your fertilizer weighs 53 lb per bushel. That's ridiculously light. It must be per cubic foot.

    • @AxiomAcres
      @AxiomAcres  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yup. Good catch. You’re 100% correct. I’ve been thinking about that all day. Something wasn’t adding up and I was doing the math at lunch and said there’s no way we are getting 178 bushels of fertilizer in a 160 bushel tank.
      I made the video in a sleep deprived state last night. I’ll definitely make a new video correcting it.
      You’d think for a guy that used to build fertilizer plants he’d know that, but I was excited about the new drill when filing and tired when editing. I’ll make sure to give you a shoutout in the video

    Thanks for your excellent video.
    With the seed and fertilizer products that you talked about, what would you estiamte the weight of the cart loaded-?

    • @AxiomAcres
      @AxiomAcres  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We’ve tweaked things a little since the video but it should be 13,800 lbs of seed, 35,200 lbs of fertilizer so 49,000 lbs of product and I was told the cart is around 35,000 lbs empty so grand total is approximately 85,000 lbs

      @@AxiomAcres Thanks for your reply.
      Over 40 tons packing the ground behind the planter is a lot of seed and ground stomping.
      Wouldn't this negatively impact the crop production-?

    • @AxiomAcres
      @AxiomAcres  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That’s a great point. I suspected that’s what you were alluding to. I have a video planned about this coming up as my new hired hand asked the same question recently and I thought it could make a good video…
      Essentially that’s the appeal of a tow between vs tow behind cart. We’ve never seen a yield drag or uneven emergence that we could attribute to the cart in normal conditions. In the wrong conditions we have seen some, mainly when it’s overly wet. I’ll go more in depth in my upcoming video

      @@John-nc4bl but there’s lots of rubber on that cart to distribute the weight

      @@AxiomAcres Its a great looking rig that you have and I hope that it gives you great service and is relatively problem free,
      Wouldnt it be great if the made the tanks and a lot of the other stuff out of stainless steel since rust is the killer.
      Will look forward to seeing your next video.
      When the new crop shoots come thru the ground and then say after a couple of more weeks of growth on it, can you see the cart tracks in the crop-?

    How do you like your Versatile Delta Track? The few I know of really dislike them! Way low on power! Cummins has been there the dealer has been there and everything check out prefect but way is it such a dog? The best thing I have heard is Versatile didn’t gear the DT correctly making a dog out of it. I hope You don’t have those issues!!

    • @AxiomAcres

      I love it. No lack of power at all in my opinion. Pulls to beat hell. I have a couple of videos about it if you check out my page

      Was just thinking….Do you know if that was the 620 or the 610? The 620 has the X15 engine. We have the QSX15

      I have a 550 dt as well and it pulls like a train no lack of power in my circumstance. 68ft 3320 and 7700 cart.

      @@AxiomAcres Oh I am very glad to hear it’s working for you, I really am! The two DTs that I know of were 620 I believe! I was watching him seed and he was pulling a 30’ wide John Deere air drill with a small John Deere air cart on a perfectly flat field and it had its hands more then full! It sounded like it was a 130’ air drill going up a real step hill.
      None the less yours is not that way which is awesome! Maybe Versatile fixed the issue or maybe it just affected a few DTs?
