trebleclef, Hi, I just want to say, you do realise that a lecture has a time limit, so the lecturer has to make choices of what s/he thinks the most appropriate for whatever topic. Usually, the audience will be informed about what the topic will be, and they are also aware that only a certain amount of information can be transmitted in a limited timeframe.
Nevertheless Christa Stempel, Lyme is at epidemic levels in the US which means epidemic level Alzheimers induced by Lyme and that should be included in ANY information about Lyme (esp since that would involve antibiotic treatment requirement.)
trebleclef, oh for christs sake, Lyme desease is not in any way at epidemic levels in the USA, and there is no evidence that Alzheimers desease is induced by Lyme desease. We don't even know what exactly is causing Altheimers, we just have 'ideas' about what 'might' contribute to this form of dementia. So I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. And what antibiotic treatment are you talking about? Since when can we treat Alzheimers with antibiotics? If Alzheimers was treatable with antibiotics, it wouldn't pose a problem. Antibiotics would be given, and end of the story. I think you just read something about Lyme desease, but you don't understand anything about how bacteria work and how they can be defeated. Anyway, I want to say again, this video is a lecture with a timelimit, and not everything 'known' that might be contributing to Alzheimers desease, can be covered in a one hour lecture.
do you work in the field? I did. Alan MacDonald has been publishing about Bb causing AD for years. You need to get informed. ALAN MACDONALD AND ALZHEIMERS AND BORRELIOSIS, READ IT FOR YOURSELF!
My Mom was very active, long walks everyday, ate healthy, played piano, sang in a capella group, played bridge and soduku, has a Ph.D, and now has Alzheimers.
Did she eat organic, I only ask because of glyphosate or round up. Also did she consume animal products daily or rarely. I think these have effects too.
Did she undergo surgery for anything after the age of 60? Anesthesia can either cause dementia or make symptoms a lot worse. My mom was never the same after a surgery she had when she was 65. Anesthesia effects elderly dogs that “go under” as well.
I've recently started a journey of health and wealth. My dad died from Alzheimer's and my aunt so I'm going to prepare myself by treating as if I too could have it. Prevention is the best cute.
Stop the friggin drugs!! PREVENTION! Figuring out the CAUSE! Drugs should ONLY be for acute, emergency...when body is in "fight or flight" mode, panic, anxiety, etc...even then should be short term, not just relying on damn drugs!

I know too many people who have nearly died because of cholesterol medications .My husband only took 3 pills (not at one time ) and it sent him to the doctor .My bother in - law has been to the hospital 3 times by ambulance in 2 weeks .My sister finally got him to stop taking the cholesterol medication .And the list goes on . The problem is ! People think the doctor knows best instead of being in tune with their own bodies .But doctors don't study medicines. The pharmaceutical sells man gives the doctor kick backs when he prescribes their drugs . How many people do you know that doesn't get a pill thrown at them instead of finding the underlying problem?
lol, I was just told to start on a statin...no way ill just change my diet because we need cholesterol to use in our body's to work properly. My LDL is 50 haha what do they call it? practicing medicine.... I am not a Ginnie pig. we share the same initials, maybe the same thoughts on old medicine practices...if we don't start to be responsible for ourselves we will kill our selves. my numbers are higher than normal, but I can think more rational and intellectual than when my LDL,n HDL were in medical norms go figure.
The cholesterol med didn't suit me at all. It caused confusion and memory loss and though I tried another type that one caused IBS issues as I cant tolerate calcium being in a med...I have been working on fasting to lower cholesterol and already followed a veg and fruit and salad diet for many years and gluten free, plus exercise most days...so fasting is tackling the issue since my body doesn't digest fats well (after having lyme disease) and it collects in the liver to make cholesterol...

@13:30 "anyone born at the turn of the nineteenth century would be lucky to live past fifty". My youngest grandparent was born 1895. Her mother died when she was a very young child. I don't know her mother's age. So her father gave her away to a good family. She lived more than fifty years, a good bit more. Gave birth to eight children in her kitchen etc. No easy life. But it worked. One of her children died just shy of fifty. Several of her grandchildren died a good bit before fifty. The grandchildren got all the medical attention they needed. It didn't help. The grandchildren ate a healthfood diet purportedly/named to support for its practioners to live long.

Mean life expectancy is meaningless when age at death does not form a normal curve. Death around age 50 was not common; dying earlier (at birth, during childhood, or in childbirth) created that mean.

Nuts are actually a very poor source of Omega 3 fats, as they all (even walnuts) contain at minimum 4.5 times more Omega 6 than Omega 3. It's not so much the huge amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids that we want to optimize - rather, it's keeping a relatively low ratio of omega 6:3 that is most beneficial. And ideal ratio of 6:3 is anywhere between 1:1 and 4:1. Better sources of Omega 3 fatty acids are pastured beef, pastured eggs and wild caught fatty fish.
Read this article ! ...The herpes simplex type 1 virus (HSV-1) in the development of Alzheimer’s & dementia There is a growing body of evidence that implicates the herpes simplex type 1 virus (HSV-1) in the development of Alzheimer’s dementia (AD). The The Herpies virus HSV-1 has been found to be present in the cerebrum in the brain of the great majority of older adults, and in many of the same areas of the brain that are affected by AD. When active, the virus may contribute to the formation of the neuro-fibrillary tangles and amyloid plaques characteristic of AD. Like AD, HSV-1 encephalitis may cause long term memory loss. HSV-1 replication is suppressed in lysine-rich/arginine - Poor environments and population studies suggest that diets high in lysine and low in arginine may be associated with lower rates ofAlzheimer's. There are no prospective studies of the efficacy of lysine supplementation to prevent or reduce the incidence of AD. Supplementation with adequate doses of lysine could prevent the development of Alzheimers. In 1982, Ball proposed ; that the herpes simplex type 1 virus (HSV-1) might be involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's and “degenerative” lesions of the normal aged human brain. Ball noted that herpes simplex type 1 virus HSV-1 was well known to establish a lifelong presence in the trigeminal nucleus, and that the trigeminal nucleus has projections into the mesial temporal (limbic) areas of the brain that are affected in AD and in herpes encephalitis. A reactivated virus might therefore have access “downstream” to manifest as herpes labialis (“cold sores”), and “upstream” into the limbic regions of the brain. ""Natural Cures form Earth clinic "" In answer to your questions, Alzheimer can be treated with lysine, L-threonine, for example to stop the progression of Alzheimer's disease and to partially reverse it with at least hydergine and piracetam. Getting memory back once the virus has eaten is not possible but some memory back from the increased circulation is better. Most Alzheimer's patients get memory lost from new memories, short term memory, and given the right remedies you see this improvement but most problem is actually not the treatment. It's getting the supplies. Baking soda will help, in getting rid of some zinc accumulation out of the brain and aluminum that's causing some of the problems. The Virus in the brain is the main cause of most Alzheimer patients I seen and at least the lysine and threonine is the basic treatment. go to ; ted.earthclinic.com/cures/alzheimers-disease-dementia-treatment.html -

My Mom was very active, long walks everyday, ate healthy, played piano, sang in a capella group, played bridge and soduku, has a Ph.D, and now has Alzheimers.
My Mom also has a similar history & result...... :..(
Did she eat organic, I only ask because of glyphosate or round up. Also did she consume animal products daily or rarely. I think these have effects too.
Did she get every vaccine?
Did she undergo surgery for anything after the age of 60? Anesthesia can either cause dementia or make symptoms a lot worse. My mom was never the same after a surgery she had when she was 65. Anesthesia effects elderly dogs that “go under” as well.
@@kt-jonj11 no surgeries.

Put them on fruits and vegetable diet and watch the change in them!
lol, I was just told to start on a statin...no way ill just change my diet because we need cholesterol to use in our body's to work properly.

None had alzheimers, dementia, lewibody etc.
My maternal Grandfather was b. In 1861. Lived to be 75yrs despite being a big cigar smoker. Both Grandma's lived to 86. My mother d.2014 aged 107. Liverpool UK
Mean life expectancy is meaningless when age at death does not form a normal curve. Death around age 50 was not common; dying earlier (at birth, during childhood, or in childbirth) created that mean.
i use mnemonics. I remembered Collin today by thinking of Collin class submarines. Also Nicholas by thinking of the late Tsar Nicholas of Russia. My grand mother had Alzheimer's. I've been diagnosed by x-ray with small strokes.

Read this article ! ...The herpes simplex type 1 virus (HSV-1) in the development of Alzheimer’s & dementia
There is a growing body of evidence that implicates the herpes simplex type 1 virus (HSV-1) in the development of Alzheimer’s dementia (AD).
HSV-1 replication is suppressed in lysine-rich/arginine -
Poor environments and population studies suggest that diets high in lysine and low in arginine may be associated with lower rates ofAlzheimer's.

In answer to your questions, Alzheimer can be treated with lysine, L-threonine, for example to stop the progression of Alzheimer's disease and to partially reverse it with at least hydergine and piracetam.

What is the difference between “dementia” and Alzheimer’s” ?
Alzheimer's is a disease that causes dementia. There are many forms of dementia. Not all of them are caused by Alzheimer's.
Alzheimer's is a form of dementia. Dementia is a big umbrella term for the many types of similar cognitive disorders. Kind of like how Aspergers is a form of autism or hypertention is a form of cardiovascular disease.
