  • A child's drawing leads detectives to investigate a mother for possible abuse of her teenage stepson. Yet, as the investigation unfolds, it becomes evident that this mother is not to be underestimated. Working two steps ahead of our detectives, using pregnancy and spousal privileges to thwart the teams every attempt to reveal the truth...
Season 4, Episode 2 'Deception': A kindergartner's family portrait leads detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) to suspect the child's actress mother Gloria Stanfield (guest star Sherilyn Fenn) of seducing her teenage stepson Kyle (guest star Jonathan Bennett) into a long-term sexual affair. When the boy's father, corporate mogul Lawrence Fuller (guest star Tom Mason), is found bludgeoned to death in their upscale apartment, all evidence points to young Kyle as the killer.

    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
Although Frank's testimony was enough to get him convicted, he couldn't provide any corroborating evidence against Gloria. But the detectives are able to find a phone call from Gloria which they deduce was her warning Kyle to get out of his apartment in time for the murder.
However, they also determine he could be in danger - Kyle has a trust fund that Gloria, as his wife, will have access to whilst he's in jail. Plus, when he gets out, its entirely possible that Gloria will have him killed as well. They use this to turn Kyle against Gloria, who corroborates that not only did she hire Frank for the hit, but that she also started their relationship whilst he was underage.
They arrest her on the steps of an abortion clinic, where Kyle also serves her with divorce papers.
Update: For some reason SVU s6-11 is on Netflix NZ.

Feels like justice and the law are always on the side of the defendant in cases of r@**.
If you're a woman, and you've had normal consensual 'relations' with a man any time in the past, then you're no longer a credible victim. If a woman, does it to you, then it's not even considered a crime, so to speak, 'How could it be?'
If you're a man, or a boy, and this happens to you, and the aggressor is a woman, you've 'scored', so what's the problem? Doesn't even matter if the person was a woman who robbed of your choice to have safe, consensual relations, it's just *shoulder shrug*. If it's a man who did this you, THEN, it's a violation.
So sick, twisted and sad the way we, as a society, sometimes see these things, because these are all acts of violence, whether they're committed by a man or a woman, shouldn't even matter: r@** is r@**.
Either way, your claim as a victim,is under so much more scrutiny than the vile perpetrator who'll refute it, and say 'It was consensual'. It's magnificently absurd how it all works.
Don't even get me started on the statute of limitations for this type of thing..

The detectives realize that Kyle is willing to take the fall for murder in order to protect Gloria.
They also realize that as Kyle's wife Gloria now has access to Kyle's trust fund (as well as the vast fortune he will inherit from his father) and may kill him to inherit it all.
ADA Cabot decides to drop her case against Kyle, so long as he testifies against Gloria, and will then use Frank's testimony to further implicate her in the murder.
Benson & Stabler visit Kyle in jail and try to convince him that Gloria is setting him up. He is finally convinced when he finds out that the baby is Frank's, not his.
Kyle says that Gloria called him the night of the murder, and told him she’d take care of everything.
Benson & Stabler catch up with Gloria outside a family planning clinic, as she is intending to terminate her pregnancy.
Kyle steps out of their car to confront Gloria and to tell her that he does not believe her lies anymore and will testify that she illegally had intimacies with him when he was a minor and that she hired Frank to kill his father. Gloria tries to plead with him but he hands her divorce papers, thus removing spousal privilege and revoking Gloria's access to Kyle's trust fund.
The detectives arrest Gloria for first-degree murder.
