A big THANKS to all those employees who assemble all these lenses. It's very frustrating to do over and over the same process so many times so that we can have one of these lens in our hands!
That was incredible. The ingenuity and skill that goes into both the design, manufacture and assembly of these incredibly complex things amazes me.
These jobs are amazingly focus-intense. Thank you to all the people who work so hard, and in clean room conditions, to give me my moments of joy when using my Sigma lenses.
Very nice video. Congratulations to all the workers in the production unit for this excellent result.
Knowing Japanese work culture I imagine the QA pass quotas must be exceedingly high. These workers must be at the literal top of their job
Thank you to all of the Sigma team, everyone with a stake in the process of bringing those works of art into my hands, the designers, the cleaners, the production line crafts woman and men, admin and packaging and transportation …, thank you all for you contribution to which allows me to use such excellent lenses, we photographers are so fortunate, every time I attach one of your lenses to my cameras and take a photograph, I am very grateful to you all. 👏
Im a hobby photographer and videographer, and Ive used Sigma a lot, it’s amazing to see the process of how they’re made. Keep up the good work.
So much work comes into making lense. And here i am wondering why cant they be cheaper lol... How little i knew.
Thanks for sharing!
I am surprised how many human hands are involved in the process of producing a lens, I always thought it would be way more automated. Beautiful! I appreciate my Sigma lenses now even more.
I agree!
This is the Japanese approach to high quality production.
Same!
@@yamashin9971 I like your approach to high quality production.
S Korea doe it very highly automated where Japanese hands show their skills.

14:46, so that's how OSS works! Those magnets on the lens carrier are coupled with the coils on the pcb previously in the video. They create an acoustic motor. Neat!
So much detail given. Why Sigma’s are great lenses. This was oddly satisfying to watch. Thank you for sharing.
Being a retied photographer i have never seen this, manufacturing in a beautiful way with hands on people not only machines 😀 fantastic work to all who make lens and cameras 👏 ❤

Such a beautiful job. Thanks for all of those so careful people who make such incredible lenses. Really appreciate your job.
When I have started photography in 1994 I brought Sigma lenses because they were affordable. Since 2014 I buy them because they have become one of my favourites.
That was so beautiful, I could cry. Thank you for sharing this.
A holy grail for me. I was always amazed to hear about how many lenses were being manufactured in the 60's, and how it was possible back then without this kind of tech.I hope one of the companies like Pentax has some film from back then too. This got better and better. The R&D going into the tools before you even get to the lenses must be another film or two or three. Another world. Sigma looking GOOD.
The process was the same, right now most of it is automated.
From now on I will treat my lenses with a lot of respect and love. This is a lot. Well done Sigma for giving us an insight into how your fine optics are made.
You weren't doing that from before?! 😱
@@g00nther NOT SO MUCH
Wow! Just to echo a lot of other comments - the amount of manual precision work involves in creating these lenses is incredible. Now I understand why lenses cost as much as they do. I'm an amateur photographer from the UK and I have a few Sigma lenses. An 18-200mm, a 16-35mm and a 105mm Macro, all in Nikon F mount. I will probably buy more in the future. Thanks for making this film and thanks to Sigma for allowing it!
Thank you for sharing this video. It's very nice to see how high-quality the production is and what it takes: people, technology and know-how. Keep going, competitors don't sleep.
Wow, it's incredible how such craftsmanship is done on an industrial scale. Props to the factory floor workers, they put a lot of dedication into make sure the quality is top shelf!
