I seen this on my way out of work tonight and was excited to get home get comfortable and watch the show! Was missing these episodes, currently watching the wire harness videos as I’m also rewireing my c100. The video is excellent. Gives me all the confidence to do all of this( just finished the Saginaw pump). Great to see you my friend! I’m thinking shoot I have those covers on my 350 now that’s a great idea!
i love this project. after that bung is welded maybe grind down the weld some and media blast the bung to blend in more with the as-cast surface. and i almost wonder if it would have been possible, advisable, to cut another cover down the middle vertically and mate it up with the side you want the script on using a head as a jig. keep at it!

Thanks for the kind words! Glad to have helped.
I first saw the valve cover script on the 73 oldmobiles. My 75 with the factory 455 doesn't have it anymore.
I went and looked. They were 73-74 only!
@@hutchhiperf it's a shame as it looks sharp.
Good to see you back again
It's good to be back. I was itching all over like an addict to get back on the 442.

I still weld like a drunk monkey, so welding an entire perimeter on two covers was something I didn't want.
Also, a big yes on blending the sensor bung to make it look more "as cast". Thanks for the kind words.
Great Idea- moving the script. By the way, where did you the valve cover spacer from?

Thank you@@hutchhiperf
I have been learning as I go to I’m 42 and a master of nothing but I get by if you know what I mean
On the large gap on the driver side valve cover, weld in a clothes hanger into the gap at the same time.
That was my first thought, but I had a little square of 20ga sheet metal, so I made little strips and held them in with some magnets.
I only saw them on 73 74 engines
