    Bro, Why would you compare Spotify Free version with Apple Paid version, and what do you mean you're comparing them out of the box, there's no Apple Music out of the box without Paying for it.

    • @VeenitXSheth
      @VeenitXSheth  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      When I say out of the box, I mean the bare minimum you need to do to access the service. In this case, that means making an account on Spotify and paying for Apple Music. And I’m comparing the free vs paid because most people who use Spotify likely are on the free version. But if they aren’t, I have mentioned information about the premium version as well.

    I always take a gamble with clicking on a smaller channels video. 95% the time I regret it. 5% of the time I don't regret it. This would fall in that 5% of the time.

    as a former spotify premium user and apple music user personally, i would say apple would take the cake on pricing, cause with spotify's free plan, you get a limited amount of skips per day, you cant control the timestamp on songs, its always on shuffle (however, the recommended songs are pretty good too), but with apple music you have like the full experience of spotify premium for like a dollar less.
    but there's also the songs. i think there's less songs on apple music than there is on spotify. sure, you can import them, but you'll have to own a computer, and have the apple music app for either windows or mac to import mp3s, FLACs, or whatever the case. for spotify, you can easily turn on a feature, and put it in a folder on your phone. for this reason, i'm giving this to spotify.
    either way, its your choice. if you want more songs & discovery, get spotify premium. if you want a better user experience and audio quality, get apple music.

    • @VeenitXSheth
      @VeenitXSheth  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah true the pricing could depend on what you want and are willing to put up with. I used the free version for 2+ years and towards the end, it was super annoying.

    I am a longtime Spotify user, who even after switching to iPhone during the days of the iPhone 11, I never felt any reason to switch to Apple Music. I had Spotify ever since I got a smartphone (first ones I ever had were Androids, mostly Samsung Galaxy phones) so, sure, I was curious if I was missing much with Apple Music… and it doesn’t seem like I’m missing out on too much. Sure lossless streaming is highly impressive, and a major way AM has an advantage over Spotify, but unless you are using good headphones, you won’t hear much of a difference in streaming quality. And Spotify’s discovery features and user centric playlist has always hooked me to the app. I do commend Apple for having an amazing music streaming platform, but I don’t ever see myself switching to it since Spotify always seems to give it a good run for its money. That said, I hope both apps continue to improve and update things over one another because competition always drives innovation… so in the end, the real winners won’t be the apps… it will be music listeners everywhere.

    • @VeenitXSheth
      @VeenitXSheth  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      true, the recommendations on Spotify are king especially for the 2-3 years I used it. But the integration with the Apple ecosystem and the experience on Apple is nice. I prefer the visual style and you're definitely right, if both apps continue to improve, its us the consumers who win in the end!

    • @VeenitXSheth
      @VeenitXSheth  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not really, I mean the codec they use is still really good for no compression but taking away the 2 big features for audio quality from an app kinda gives you the answer. So nah, if you took away the things that Apple Music has for audio quality away from it, I would say they are kinda the same

    • @VeenitXSheth
      @VeenitXSheth  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was saying in the sense that you can join/barrier to entry is 0 because of the free tier. Since it has a free tier I have it the point because if something provides that much value (although with ads) for free, I don’t know how to not give it the category

    • @trevinodude
      @trevinodude หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly I agree. If you aren’t beholden to Apple products, using Spotify will be more convenient for you in the long run. While Apple DOES have higher streaming quality and a slightly larger music library, you can only use the highest level of quality with an iPhone, not even Macs can use the lossless setting on Apple Music without third party software, and more importantly… getting Apple Music to work on multiple non Apple devices is more of a pain than it needs to be. Spotify has better connectivity and a WAY more accurate algorithm to recommend you music that you’ll like in the long run. If you’re committed to Apple’s ecosystem, then Apple Music would be a better choice, but you already said you’re not committed to Apple’s devices, so stay free of device compatibility restraints. Spotify is a better choice for you.
