Gears Of War E-Day GOT ME HYPED!!!!!
I've been playing through the Trilogy on the Xenia emulator. Just beat Gears 1 today. They hold up so well. Kinda pisses me off that we don't get games this good anymore.

Just a goddamn masterfully made game. They had a clear scope and vision, the right team, they stuck to their guns and they executed. No wonder it spawned a franchise. I miss these days!
I got this game when I was 10. I am 27 now and this is still one of my favorite games all these years later.
I'm 31 and in the same boat 😂 I was blown away as a kid when I first played this and it was on crt tv in 2008 I think 😁 gears 1-3 are so awesome but for me first one is most special. I was already kinda thinking gears is in the past for me after 4&5 buuut now I'm back excited seeing E-DAY baby!! Seems like we get back to dark atmosphere and of course characters we love . I have high hopes for that game and now I kinda wanna once again go back and play 1-3😁
I love how games can bring together similar memories. I’m 34 and currently replaying through all the games again after the most recent trailer.
@@KimTe63 my brother is your age and we played 1 and 2 a lot as kids. We only ever really bonded when he needed me to help him beat a game so it's very very special to me as I don't get to talk to him anymore. These games hold so many amazing memories for me, and now that E Day is going to be a thing I am creaming my panties all over again.

Everyone talking about the game you can just tell how much love and passion all of them had. I really hope we get a gears of war 2 remastered or gears 6 in the next 2 years.
They do have a contract for a 6th one. But I do hope for a remaster of the 2nd one.
We also need a remaster for gears 3 as well.

The first Gears of War game is one the best games Epic games has ever made. This game not only was a system seller for MS but also helped sell UE3 and make put Epic on the map.
I think we can all agree when that beserker part came on we allll shit our pants 🤣I straight up turned off the game and didn’t come back to finish it for years. NOW that’s a good game.
I'm just glad we got a remaster with Ultimate Edition, not perfect but improved the graphics big time. I just hope we get the same for 2 and 3.

Gears Of War 1, 2, and 3 are some of the most fun I've ever had in Gaming. Especially co-op.
Gears 1 reminded me of a modern Contra from The NES. I made so many friends and had soooo much fun over the years.

It’s crazy to see this in 2022 these we’re probably the best years of gaming I had Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 generation so much innovation, back then.
Gears 1-3 are masterpieces.
The thing that bugs me with the new ones is the fact they use so many robots on both sides of the fight. Cliffy had the right idea by only using "monsters" for the enemies it felt so much better than endless waves of shitty robot encounters. It's really too bad we don't have the same devs making the new ones, you can just tell the focus has changed and a lot of that classic gears of war feel is gone.
Unfortunately I agree with this, but ultimately the only way they could comeback is with a gears of war collection with a possible remaster of gears of war 2 or 3 with all the previous DLCs. If they did both I'd shit out my balls, but it's more than likely not gonna happen.
I bet we get some shitty swarm version of Lambent in Gears 6 since they have no original ideas anymore

Pure gameplay focussed. No lazy ideas. Perfect game. Set the standard of games for the modern era.
As much as I like how easy it is to boot up the UE nowdays, I love the original's style. Nothing beats that grittiness.
1 and 2 were amazing I'm playing them again now on my 360

The first Gears was the first online game I ever played on my 360 when I was about 18. It was intense back then. I remember matches would make my heart pound and there would be this intense back and forth strategy that took place within each match. I had never experienced anything like that and still haven't to do this day! It was almost scary to play it was so intense. My palms would end up being all sweaty too. That's why the game is so great to me. Nothing comes close to the multiplayer of that game.

This game is AAA, many games call themselves that but this one was truly one of them.

You can tell Epic wanted to stand out and GOW allowed them to do that. I remember my older brother getting both GOW and GOW2 for my birthday as something new to try, because he knew i liked shooters and i was only 11 at the time and played offline cod. Best thing he ever got me. I enjoyed hours on those games !
So this is where it all started...me and my wife love gears of war it's the only shooting game she will play and she is not a gamer that makes this game my favorite because I can spend quality time with my wife doing something I like to do...you guys keep up the good work we are still waiting on Gears 6 tho lol

from the time it came out to the effort the creative team put into it
I always viewed the first game as a science fiction horror, I remember with the graphics and animation having that slightly unpolished look and the grime aesthetic mixed with chapter 2 and 3... oh wow
the remake was great but I felt you lost out a bit on some of the horror vibes when 4k is emplimented

This game really blew my mind on release. This and ass creed, rainbow six Vegas and crackdown sold me on 360.
This era of gaming sadly just doesn’t exist anymore. The passion, no micro transactions, the game HAD to be good or it wouldn’t sell and get shit on by reviewers…4 and 5 are great gears games multiplayer wise..but they are nothing like the original trilogy. TC is very inept and lack the creativity and passion epic had for making a good experience.

Gears Of War will always be one of my top games I will never forget all the days and nights of playing online, I played through the campaign more times than i could count way more than any other game, spoke to alot of really cool people online that and all the glitches like the kung-fu flip and crab walking 😂 this time of gaming was a great time to be alive and im glad i got to enjoy gaming before it became what it is now.

Man gears 1 was so ahead of its time, I used to spend hours and hours playing this game when I was younger.
Most satisfying sniper mechanics ever. Every online squad had to have that one dude who was OP with the snipe. Shotgun battles were also insane. I love the gnasher dances 😂

Did you know the first interaction with the wretch can be interrupted by sticking it with a grenade just before the cutscene starts. Try it out and have a laugh.
My GF saw me play Gears1 and went OMG, what are you playing. Many years later we are married, play coop and now waiting for E Day.

I remember wanting a new game so me my brother and dad go to GameStop and I see this gem a get it when I got back home I popped it in when I first started I got scared but also amazed over how bloody it was and still play it to this day

When I found out who played cole train I was so stoked that man is a G. Who’s series is a W wish I could say the same for the last two installments but shi nonetheless amazing world and lore. Hope it gets some justice later in the years. A remastered gears of war 2 or 3 would be nice 🤝🏼

2022 focused on money and now they would have told them to cut the chainsaw

Gears of War is the reason why I bought the Xbox 360 in 2007. The graphics still hold to date and look better than some games.

The biggest difference between the old Gears and the newer ones is the blood has been toned way down and the horror aspect is kinda none existant at this point. Is still enjoy the multiplayer tho
