car is beautiful, im not a car modifying fan so i could care less for the mods done but the car itself i can tell is absolutely amazing in driving experience. once i pay my supra off im trading my fk8 and supra in for one.

Did getting the lowering springs make it harder to get to some areas in town without scraping the front? I have pretty crappy roads where I live and I'm still on the fence about getting them on mine. But dang does it look good on those springs.
that's the problem honestly, I think you gotta yolo it tbh if you wanna do it. it's just a car at the end of the day and cars are meant to be driven. If you're a person who doesn't mind checking for potholes and carefully navigating sharp inclines and declines you should go for it. if you hate that type of stuff, you can probably leave it as is.
Car looks and drivers better on lowering springs but you will need to be extra careful on dips and driveways.

Almost bought a FL5 but after comparing the GR Supra 3.0 premium I felt I got way more car for 50k compared to the FL5. The Supra makes power sooooooo easy and the body lines make it stand out. The FL5 looks clean but it looks like regular traffic IMO.

Wrx suck I blew my motor 77 k I had Honda vtec I put 177 k on it never once no problem stepping on it all the time kicking in vtec

To fix the freezing/lagging infotainment you need to disable the GPS.

Fl5 is a sedan now which is a huge departure from the traditional hatch and compact sport. Yes the transmission is second only to Porsche and honestly Porsche trans is barely better feeling so for the money Honda is a steal. I went to buy a new fl5 but the dealer would not budge on price and wanted 66k I told them no and he came back and said 52k before fees and tax. I told them I’ll buy it if they beg me in front of everyone and they refused to. I honestly would have bought it but instead because they refused I walked next door and bought a wrx premium for a fraction of the cost. Honda needs to crack down on dealers because nobody should pay the prices they are asking. I didn’t mind doing this because I own a fk8 as well and it looks much more aggressive. The fk8 weighs less but makes 10-15whp and several reviewers have dragged and taken these two on track against each other and have found the fk8 is still faster I’m guessing it’s the added weight that slowed it down. Not shitting on the fl5 because it is a super nice car but guys please don’t pay any markup it’s really not worth that money. It was my choice again over a wrx but dealers are out of hand.

The type R closest competition is the grc and elantra N. The wrx doesn't even come close to the performance on those 3 cars lmfao (track times says it all)

would love to own one of these one day. only issue is it rains 3/4 of the year where i live and i feel like i wouldn’t be able to use the full car because of it being fwd

I tell you what, I've had my FL5 since Dec 2022 in New Jersey. Daily drive all year through 2 winters, takes it like a champ. Fun and enjoyable in all conditions. Plenty of rain and snow. Eats it up (on the right tire). Hasn't aged a day.
Wow I wasn't expecting that price tag. Too expensive imo. Alot of better options out there for 50.
8-speed DCT is faster than all MT with about 300hp. I don't understand someone waste his money and energy for running slowly with heal & toe.

The only words I heard was nice, guys, amazing, perfect in this review. I wish the comprehension will improve in the future. And I could hardly understand some of the words. The enunciation of words is poor. But I enjoyed some part of it. Overall things could be improved.

I think the previous version was way better looking. The front end looks like it has a big nose. And it’s like they just threw a wing on the back. I’m sure it drives great, but I think the WRX is better looking.
The FL5 is a great car but every comment related to price in this video is outrageous.

Ok I appreciate the review and congrats on your Type R…. However I need to say I hope you didn’t pay much over MSRP for a Honda Civic (Type R or not). $45k plus you can get a much better car, or a decent down payment on an entry level Porsche pre-owned. You do realize you oissed away anything over MSRP ($7k? $12k? Shit dude…) So how much did you put down? How much is your car note? Do you own or rent your home? Do you have responsibilities like a family? What do you do for a living? How’s your income to debt ratio? I take it you live in California. I ask because I see many young guys (TH-camrs) posting reviews of Type R’s yet I see them living in a town home or apartments with young children. Yes it’s fun to drive a Type R but really responsibilities should take priority over your superficial needs. I’m mean it’s your money, do as you please but living on maxed out credit and owning/financing a vehicle that takes up more than 50% of your net income is not a wise decision.

First thing to keep in mind when buying an FL5 Type R is that at the end of the day its still a Civic.
That can be said about alot of cars. I will never understand what people are trying to convey when saying this about cars. Wrx still an imprezza.. Evo still a lancer. Elentra n still an elentra.. Srt4 still a neon.. Gr corolla still a corolla.. Audi s4.. Still an a4. Etc etc.. These variations are just higher trim levels with performance parts.
