- On the way home from a car show we came across a workshop that specializes in drag racing Nissans. I was surprised. I wasn't even aware there were tracks to drag race on in this part of Japan.
There are a couple of R33 GT-R Nissan Skylines, some Silvias, etc... But, the coolest car of the lot is the car we see first, a 240ZG FairladyZ that's been chopped, tubbed, and who knows what else ravages upon it.

Damn.. hurts the eye seeing such cars rotting away in a field! Even seeing that Bride seat is a sad sight, let alone those R33 GT-Rs and S15!

That Fairlady at the the beginning was probably an old funny car style dragster from how much it's tubbed in the rear and the roof being slammed. It's cool seeing that it is all steel body instead of fiberglass body and you can actually open the doors lol!
I feel so sorry for the first Fairlady!

Yep! Silvia is wide bodied af! Those cars are worth so much here in Aus.. Even those TE37's are 3k + for a set here.

incredible find Daniel that yard has everything you would want in racing. those drag cars are the coolest thing I've ever seen come out of Japan absolutely love the Z's. and who couldn't love the skylines as well but I gotta say I turned into an automotive geek when you started uncovering the wheel to that z LOL
Judging by the stickers, it looks like these cars were part of a Mid Night Club-esque street racing team. I’d love to hear the background story on it!
Mid Night Club-esque street racing teams are just part of the culture here. But, yes. There would be some interesting stories to be had for sure.

there is an r33 gtr that was a drag car in japan currently for sale here in the US :P
Loved the video. You can do some very professional videos, and I love them as well. But, this "informal" style to me shows raw passion for what you do on your spare time.
The future of the enthusiast car, and car enthusiasts for that matter; is very much in danger, with carmakers focusing on things like fully autonomous cars. Please keep the passion up with your wonderful, excited "ramblings"!

honestly Dan I really like the spontaneous video style as you seem really excited about the cars and what you'll see next. did you take the wheel centre cap? they are quite pricey especially the retro wheels. another good video man

How do you stay calm around these cars? I know you see them so often, but I am ocd and must see every bit of the car and I just imagine how I could bring it back to life.

wow at the GTR's the red one looks well useable with some tlc.
I count the seconds until I can finally by a R33 gtr in the states, and these are just rotting. Those cars deserve better.
I hear people are buying cars from Japan a little early, storing them in Canada, until they're legal. Good thinking.

"The red GT-R is actually super rare if that is its original color. The car seems to be a Series 2 V-Spec in Super Clear Red II (AR1) color. There are only 162 Super Clear Red II R33's ever made. It would be awesome to be able to buy that car. The body seems to be in good shape and if it has blown engine or tranny you could source a new RB26DETT or Nissan FS5R30A transmission quite easily."

If you'd been in the US and found those Fairladys aka Datsun 240z's there in Japan here there would have been fist fights to lay claim to 'em whether the owner had 'em for sale or not. I'm serious!

It's hard for some to believe that those cars cost between $40,000 - $100,000 AUD about 20 years ago when they were brand new.
Nissan Australia were selling the 200SX (Silvia) for about $40,000 back then,that's some people who have been wondering why I haven't gotten there yet when I've completely moved on.
Any reason I likely have to marry a person who came from another country????
