2010-2014 Jetta Sportwagen Door Speaker Replacement | Easy DIY

On today's video, we're replacing the front door speakers on our 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen. They were replaced a few years ago but have started to fail again. This time, we're replacing them with a pair of Hertz Dieci 4" speakers. We have these same speakers in the dash of our flooded 1965 Corvair and they work wonderfully. Watch along as we show step-by-step how you can replace the speakers on your 2010 - 2014 VW Jetta Sportwagen.

Hello Sean. Looks like those wires did cause the issue.
On your CD player, see if you can see the optical pick up through the CD slot. Dust/contamination can cause the optic not to read the disc. If you can see it, get a swabbie (the long ones) with a cleaner like Windex and CAREFULLY clean the lens. Another thing to note is that in the optic itself, there is a detector diode that can control the laser output. When an optic gets dirty, the laser comes on harder thus shortening it's life.
