  • Dim sum, also known as dian xin in Chinese, is a Cantonese-style food like served in small portions similar to tapas. We've included this dim sum meat & shrimp roll or beancurd skin roll recipe in our repertoire because we know some of you enjoy dim sum. These rolls are one of the popular dim sum choices, with shrimp and pork stuffing wrapped in beancurd skin and deep-fried until crispy. Unlike what you'll find outside, Roland packed a lot of filling into each roll - so good! This recipe yielded 14 rolls, but you can make more by reducing the amount of filling used in each roll.
    See the ingredient list below for your easy reference.
    Hope you can recreate this yummy recipe in the comfort of your home. Happy cooking!

    Always my favourite at dim sum! Thanks for that tip on double-frying to remove excess oil. No wonder mine was always oily as I only fry them once.

    Wellllll Roland, this is new to me, I've never heard of a beancurd skin/sheet. This will be on the top of the shopping list to look for tomorrow. I love learning "new" things like this, thank you for showing me how to do it! XOXO

    I always keep a couple packages of bean curd sheets in the freezer. They sell fast in Oriental stores since YT vlogers like yours feature exotic recipes from Singapore and other Asian cities. You explain so clearly demystifying what seem difficult to make.

    I love your show and this recipes. But I find that the bean curds are extremely salty, I bought so many brands and they are all the same. Is there a way to get rid of the saltiness and still can wrap the fillings?

    • @spicenpans
      @spicenpans  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Kim. You can just wipe the salt away with a damp cloth. That works. The more you wipe, the less saltier it will be.
