Youre going to strip aall the leaves from a ten year old tree?? That is going to take twice as much labor as thinning!! But if its necessary I guess it must be done, right? Yourr farm has good trees and good methods, unlike some of the other Afriken apple sellers! Good luck with your farm!
Hi Lewis, just read your message. Sorry for your bad experience with other suppliers...we are sadly the only ones selling a "real" apple tree suitable for commercial purposes...others are a sadly a fraud. What is your altitude and location?
Its one season (the second of some varieties is so small that we don't count it in). But with the different varieties we can harvest from November - May. Karibu
Good morning, Yes you can grow apples in the Pwani region, we have 3 warm adapted varieties. BUT (!) we do not recommend investments in commercial apple production in warmer areas. You will not achieve the same per acre returns as in a cold climate. For home gardening and consumption ok. Karibu ;)
@@tamutamutanzania Thank you very much. I'll contact you for a few plants for home gardening then. Thank your very much for your reply. I love your farm, its good work. Respect.
@@tamutamutanzania I'm sorry for pushing it, what am asking next is probably information that people pay to get but I'll ask u anyway. What might you recommend I grow in the Pwani region??
Thanks Ernest! The first 2 years watering is essential during the dry season. From year 3 onwards only water August - October. It depends on the location, but its roughly 20L tree/week. Karibu
