@@emantorrberjame1382 my favorite season was when we did Russian composers and played 1812 overture and the 4th movement of the new world symphony no.9. It was like 150bpm and on drums it was the funnst time
These tend to be very simple, I personally like more arrangements from Jay Dawson and Tom Wallace on `arrangers' publishing company` they don't upload as often but those are really good
MIDI's, Jazz Trumpet and More with Fulford it’s Hal Leonard, they’re licensed and paid to arrange songs like this. If it wasn’t good, then I don’t think they would be allowed to keep their company.
I remember failing this song on Guitar Hero so many times and then when I finally beat it, I cried and screamed in joy like I actually placed first in the Olympics in track and field. This song is so amazing.
This song is hard enough to play when you are sitting in front of an XBOX or PlayStation, I can only imagine how hard it would be to play it and march at the same time.
My music director is a composer. So naturally we finished concert season early and we got to write what songs we wanted for pep season. Someone wrote this and he made an easy song and it was almost unanimous- we wanted a harder version. So he made one very similar to this and with a arm breaking percussion part
Man, I like that speed that you used for your musical piece. Awesome dynamics! Rockin' key signature! :) :) :) :) :) Brass, woodwinds and drums were cool! Could you please make an arrangement for Take A Picture by Filter?
It sounds like something from kirby's soundtrack buts an amazing arrangement and if my high school's marching band was big enough I'd pressure my band director into letting us play this for football games
@@knights8400 then you'll need to be more specific about which lines were changed, cuz i assumed you meant the guitar lines/riffs that weren't included.
needlessnoise I think the point is the melodies don’t have the same impact as the original. Maybe raising some notes up a couple steps so it highs harder in up the upper register would accomplish that
Idk i think the bassline shouldve been more rhythmic like in the original, or some more voicing for the rhythm guitar, it sounded like it kinda mellowed out a bit when it shouldve been driving during the whole song
Max Ramos alright, I know this is a month old comment, but high schools are only supposed to play grade 4????? Almost every song my band’s played since I joined have been 5’s and 6’s. That’s on UIL standards anyways, is there some other way to measure them, or am I just, I don’t even know...
Overall, a really good arrangement but is missing notes in certain places (example: intro section) or adding notes in certain places (example: the end of the first phrase where the singing would start). Still a solid arrangement
"as high and fast as possible" I'm DEAD
sounds like a challenge to learn some of the forbidden notes
@@victim109 high G? Nah, how about H or I or even J
Flutist: Finally it's my time! 😂
Honestly, you could scream during that part and it'd fit right in.
@@Music_MikeZ imagine the piccolo playing that though
My marching band played this my junior year in high school. Our theme was Guitar Hero, and this song was incredibly fast to march to.
That sounds like a lot of fun! What other songs did you guys play?
@@ultimatecrusader3493 Paint it Black, Black Magic Woman, and Barracuda

Lucky lol
I clicked on this video expecting it to be one of those crappy arrangements of a popular song, but this is actually a fantastic arrangement!
MIDI's, Jazz Trumpet and More with Fulford Of course, it’s Jay Bocook! :)
Hal Leonard rarely disappoints
@@JJBerthume Yeah, except those Will Rapp parts. Ugh.

If played at 1.5 speed, it actually sounds correct.
Id say more like 1.25 but yeah
The tempo of this is around 180 BPM and TTFAF original is 200 lol so
@@justindesens2 well I mean I guess he was trying to make it somewhat possible. But take a look at a score of master of puppets
TheThirteenthMetalhead no it’s 1.75
This is marching band though and a show has to be at least 7 minutes or longer (for my marching band that is).
0:56 SO FAR AWAAY

WE WAIT FOR THE DAAAAAY
FOR THE LIVES ALL SO WASTED AND GONNNNNE
1:12 THROUGH THE FIRE AND THE FLAMES WE CARRY OOOOOONNNNN
Fun horn part. I played thin in my Freshman year as a stands song for 4th quarter football games. We were blasting!
Honestly what else were we expecting from Jay?
im playing this in my band and we are freaking out over the speed
playing it like this makes it sound like Zelda music
It sounds like the legend of Zelda link to the past (sound font)
im imagining marching to this and it even just feels exhilarating
Playing this for my band’s marching season. High and fast is just jamming the keys/valves and making as much loud and high pitched noise as you can.
I never expected this song to be pep music. I won't argue though.
much better than I expected it to be
Acai where you at?
blitzy! Yeah where is he
Jay Bocook is a legend
FULL COMBO! The Perfect post!!!
I'm out of breath just listening to this version
YES IT'S IN THE RIGHT KEY! THANK YOU FOR DOING SOMETHING RIGHT FOR ONCE HAL LEONARD
Someone chart this for clone hero

Bro the snare part sounds hard
A G O N Y
But fr this is a really great arrangement, I'm so excited to play this for my highschool's marching band!
Literally same, I’m a flute so this one I’m especially agonizing
@@holofy ooh good luck. my friend's a flute an their music looks dreadful lol. moments like these make me glad I'm a clarinet

Thank you for this.
Ok, so basically 1:36
I'm imagining this as new Hibike Euphonium intro LOL.
This is like kingdom hearts boss music
This should be played as a marching band if the weather was over 100 degrees outside.
This is really good!!!😁👍
Flashbacks to guitar hero
Very Nice
Should have had the bass drum section and snare line actually do the double kick beat for the climax. Otherwise this is great.
I clapped in real life it was that good. Well done
Okay, now this is epic
this is amazing
Now this is epic!
And ofc we’re doing this while I’m marching flugel 😍

Imagine J.K. Simmons leading this band lol
Josh Forsythe put it at 1.75
Frickin lit af!
Sounds good 👍
This was really good but had so much more potential. Those dulled-down melodic lines kinda disappointed
It's for marching band, not a professional orchestra. making the music too complicated means no or few actual marching bands will use the arrangement.
needlessnoise lol bro. The melodic lines from the original are no more difficult than what is used in this arrangement

Gaaaaahhh the descriptiooooonnnn. They're not rock, they're power metal. This song in particular
Well it matters so.....

Why do I hear boss music?
Disappointed at the lack of high C's(D's) for trumpet, would've added just a little more to the chorus sound and ending.
Otherwise, great arrangement!
Thanks chris

Surprising pretty nice. Could have been taken a little brighter in tempo. And I really like the effect in bar 70.
When arranged like this, it sounds like Kirby music

Is this what I think it is..? Do the mellos actually get a decent portion of melody for once?

Where is the solos?
Guitar solos are typically left out of pep band arrangements.
I saw this, and I thought "That sounds nightmarish to play."
