Could you please tell me about mechanical over speed trip at 112% of 3000rpm means 3360rpm Electrical overspeed trip at 110% of 3000rpm means at 3300rpm
It is given because of safety it over speed of turbine occurred so first Electrical over speed occurred by means of remote trip solonoid of governing system if it fails to operate the final one is mechanical over speed by means of spring force which extend the fly bolt outward by centrifugal force consequently hit the pawl and drain Aux trip oil of mechanical trip device.
