Superb ! Thank you so much for the video. I pick my green one up next week. Funnily enough, I was also looking @ the Honda CL500. Fortunately (not that’s it’s a bad bike I’m sure) I went for the Triumph. Cracking little bike with stunning looks. I’m getting older now and simply don’t want the weight of the “biggies” - been there and got that T-shirt. Subscribed 😊 Ps - I’m four minutes walk from the factory - well worth going on the tour if you are up / down that way. Cheers.
Do it. I did this last year, chopped my R1200GS for a KTM 390adv plus a speed twin 1200 for those rare sunny days in the UK. The KTM quickly became my go to bike for short b road and mild BoAT (by ways) taking me places that i would have never dared take the mighty GS. I cant say i missed the power on country backlanes. This might replace the KTM as i prefer no screens and the KTM is an inch taller. I want to try the 400x and the newly announced Svartpilen 401 2024 first before deciding. RE 451 seems a little overweight/overpriced to me but the Scram version might fix that.
Not only is it a great bike but A1 Moto, York are the best! My Rocket 3 is in for service on Friday and will see if I can have a go on one. Contrast will be interesting 🤔
Interesting review how well did you get on with the gears? and did you take note of the mpg you were achieving? I had a wee go on their speed 400 but it was too cold to really give it a thorough test ride and i was a bit rusty not having ridden a geared bike for some time it had plenty of shove even in 6th.
No idea on the MPG, gearing :1st & 2nd we’re not a lot of use on the road and it was quite easy to set off in 3rd, went as low as 20 mph in 5th and it pulled away well. Gearbox was smooth and precise up and down with easy changes, probably the best I’ve ridden
I have this on order in Red. Should be delivered in late February or March to Richmond, VA. The more I see the black the more I like it…would not be disappointed if they sent a black one. Are you aware of an aftermarket quick release windscreen?
170kg is the 400x wet weight, 2023 Ducati scrambler wet weight is reported at 191kg but it does feel lighter. Its pretty much near double the price too in the UK. As a pure road bike it wins, with a bit of twin track and gravel in the ride I would take the 400x (spending some of the savings on sump/rad guards 😊..maybe tyres all of which the ducati needs too apart from the rad guard)
Great review and very helpful. Ready for mine to arrive in Alabama.

Good review. India is cranking out some very nice looking small displacement motorcycles these days.
The euro scramblers are supposed to be from thailand.
Love it. Tks for the info and time it took to make such an informative video
Awesome. Waiting for mine in the states.
Cool vid guys..I'll put that on my list
I'm goin the day after tomorrow to test and probably buy one. Have fun and drive save
Im excited to get mine next month 🥳
Looks great a most reviews are very positive going to try and take a look at one considering downsizing from 1200gs

Good review I only listened to it as the camera did my 👀 in 😮
Sorry about that I’ll review it again at a later date with a better camera mount 😂
Camera sorted now on the latest video 👍
There is no switching off the ABS with the Honda which tells me it is really just a full street bike.
Change the front sprocket to a 15 tooth, the difference is amazing.
CONGRATS...
Congratulations, thank you for sharing and enjoy!
Would you mind helping clear up some of the confusion by telling us the 5th character of the VIN?
Hi I haven’t got mine yet, the one in the video was the dealer demo
👍

Are the stickers on the tank removable? Can you imagine a car driver accepting that crud on their dashboard?
I left them on for a while, after all they’re only new once, now removed 👍

Looks good, can I ask how tall you are?
5’ 11 👍
I wish they did spoked wheels like there other scramblers
Spoked wheel would have meant tubes in this price class so I rather have the one that are tubeless.
What’s up with the 360 footage. So bouncy. Is that the bike or how you have it mounted?
I think it was the mount unfortunately didn’t get to test it beforehand, helmet mount would have been better
@@jesimmo I gotcha. Relieved it wasn’t the bike :) Thanks for the review!
Nice review! Would you mind sharing your height? Just want to gauge if it will look good on me too, im standing 6'2'' by the way. Thank you!
It will definitely look good for your height..
People who are below 5'8" might have issues.
I’m 6ft so you’ll be fine 👍
Shipping has been sidetracked by Red Sea issues. Total bummer.
Can someone help find the manufacturing year & month by looking at my Scrambler’s VIN ?
Hey, may I know the exact model of the helmet you are using?
It’s a Thunder 3, Pit lane by MT Helmets.
Smart bike and looks really good. Why so heavy at 170kg, its 8kg more than 800cc Ducati scrambler with double the power.

I am 5' 7" and 77 years old.
I can manage it easily.
The weight distribution is such that it feels much lighter than it is.

Does it vibrate a lot ?
Some say it does I’ve not noticed any but staying below 6000rpm at the moment
Please buy a new camera...
?
Camera is OK it was the mount, I’ll do on other video when the bike arrives 😂
