I am so jealous... I had two ferrets. Zeke and Zach. I had leashes for them and would take them to the park, take them for walks, let them play in the yard. Every day I would let them out of the cage and let them run around the house as they pleased. They would chatter, jump and play. I would bathe them once a week which they enjoyed. Their cage was 6' tall, 4' long, and 3' wide. When I married, my wife "Didn't want those rats in the house" and was forced to get rid of them. I took them back to the pet store I purchased them from years before and they told me they were the best behaved, cuddly, and playful ferrets they have ever seen. They were my favorite pets ever. This was 16 years ago. I still miss them.
I'm so happy to see you back! I was heartbroken when Moose died. I know there will never be another Moose but Eli seems to have an awesome personality and is so handsome! It'll be exciting to make new memories with your new buddy. ❤️🐾

I lost my prince Melvin, and it killed me. After a period of mourning I now have a new ferret that gives my heart a few skips and I can remember the life of my Melvin happily. So glad you’re back and that your baby has brought you happiness!!!

I found her wondering in my yard here in georgia. I quickly adopted her after noone claimed her. I didn't know a thing about ferrets. almost 3yrs later, she's the best thing God has ever brought into my life. At the time I was going through a rough patch myself. That's how God is though right? He knows what we need even when we don't understand at the time. 🐾 🐾 ❤ ❤

Congrats on the new little guy. I started fostering two ferrets in July from a rescue. Their names are Bullet(1-2 years old) and Badger(5 years old). Both Males. One is full of energy and will do laps around the house and still want to play, the other is much slower and mostly just wants to picked up and cuddled. Bullet was not neutured so he bit a lot and hard. As soon as that was done he became so much more passive and stopped biting alltogether. Now he only bites when we play and he is really gentle when he does. After about a month I adopted. They were rehomed twice already so I wanted to make sure this was the last time
This happened with a cat I had. We though he was a girl for quite a while, before the vet corrected us on a routine visit. However, by that point the name had already stuck. We had a tom cat named Rosemary.

my business jumped from a solo, affectionate half polecat to two baby males who had been abandoned in a ditch on the side of the road. managed to capture them and they are settling in well.
I adopted a disabled ferret with paralysed hind legs about a year ago and he is so much more cuddly than any other ferret (or pet mink) I´ve ever had. Seems like he knows he´s dependent on me to scratch him behind the ears which is super important for ferret wellbeing. It´s a totally different experience than with other ferrets that are so hyper active but worth every minute.
@@TheModernFerret ya he actually sort it came with it lol at th place they used to call him Diz short for dizzy cud he was such a sweet silly character! But no one wud adopt him ! So did ! And I tried a million names but he was just Diz 😀 he was th most amazing ferret . I kno they all are but some times u meet that one that a just extra 💜💜💜💜💜

Wanted to thank you for these videos. It helped us make the decision to adopt our little guys. We fell into adopting our first kind of like you did with your new little guy which set us on the frantic path to adopt another. My 12 y/o named our first Oakley - and we call him Okie Dokie, so it seemed fitting to name our second Artichoke. Okie Dokie & Artichokie recently made the move with us from west Texas to Washington DC and are settling in nicely in our new home. Thanks again for all of your tips and information. You inspired me to get a ferret and I am in love with my ferret. She has free roaming time between 3pm-11pm. Monday -Friday and Saturday and Sunday is an all day till she is found at night. She loves torturing my mom hiding all the sponges 🧽 🤣🤣🤣. Or the small towels. Along with a lot of socks. I have other animals. That's why I don't let her out all the time without supervision. They are well behave around her when I'm around but I won't chances it, but I have seen them play with her. I was babysitting a kitten and she and the kitten where best of friends. The kitten would go into her cage to cuddle or play. Once the kitten left I thought maybe I should get her a buddy but she is so spoiled I'm afraid she won't like that.
I LOVE HIM! Eli is perfect. My bulldog has 1 eye and it just makes her more special and more beautiful and my ferrets LOVE crawling on her. Congratulations on your new baby boy. I look forward to many more videos. We've missed you.

The first day I brought home a ferret I took on from a friend who could no longer home them I was trying to get them used to the new environment and when they got playful and let me tickle their belly I realized there was no “belly button” after further investigation Alfredo was actually an Alfreda and I renamed her Boo♥️
Eli is so cute!!! One of my ferrets, Goblin, was thought to be a boy for almost 2 years as that's what we were told. A vet (though we had taken her to the vet before), after questioning if Goblin was a she confirmed that she was indeed a girl. Also, may I ask what happened to Albert? I don't believe I've seen anything on him after Moose passed. I hope Eli has lots of fun exploring in all the new space!
Ferrets are so cute. I don't know why i love ferrets so much, but it kinda just started out of nowhere. I still want to have a ferret as a pet. It started when i was still living with my parents, and while i do live in my own place, i just don't have enough time or money to get pet ferrets. As a person with autism and ADHD, and without a drivers licence, i just aren't able to get a job or enough time and money to get pet ferrets
Ferrets are very calming. If you feed them raw, it is cheaper than kibble. The bedding is all from charity shops. Water fountains are more hygienic than bowls. Buy a couple of ferrets and they will give your days structure and purpose. Best wishes.

It started when i was still living with my parents, and while i do live in my own place, i just don't have enough time or money to get pet ferrets. As a person with autism and ADHD, and without a drivers licence, i just aren't able to get a job or enough time and money to get pet ferrets
Ferrets are very calming. If you feed them raw, it is cheaper than kibble. The bedding is all from charity shops. Water fountains are more hygienic than bowls. Buy a couple of ferrets and they will give your days structure and purpose. Best wishes.
