Really enjoyed your list Larry Here is my 10: 1. Planet of the Apes 2. Back to the Future 3. Casablanca 4. North by Northwest 5. Rear Window 6. The Maltese Falcon 7. Lost Highway 8. Notorious 9. The Great Escape 10. Star Trek: The Motion Picture Brazil and Close Encounters are also among my favorites.
I'm shocked to see The Blues Brothers show up! That's my number one favorite of all time. It's up there with Three Amigos and Planes Trains and Automobiles in my 3 favorite comedies of all time. But The Blues Brothers rises above the rest by being so much more than just a comedy.
Seeing Ghost Busters at the theater when it came out is the best time I had at the movies as a kid. Saw it twice in the theater which was unheard of for my family. Can't believe you got to see it 10 times!
Well I must admit to going in for an early show....then switching screens for the noon showing of something else...then back to GhostBusters for the later one! Sometimes I'd hang out all day and part of the evening on the AM ticket!
Hi Larry, really interesting video and some nice suggestions in there. You mentioned in another video being stuck with a backlog on steam and that made me wonder if you would be interested in also sharing your top 10 video games?
I was born in September of 1977 and my mom was still pregnant with me when she and my dad went to see my all-time favorite movie, the original Star Wars. The first film they took me to (officially) was Close Encounters of the Third Kind. My top 5 favorite movies of all time: 1. Star Wars (before the stupid Special Edition changes) 2. Back to the Future 3. Raiders of the Lost Ark 4. Ghostbusters 5. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Honorable Mention: Mad Max: Fury Road
I remember listening to Blues Brothers soundtrack over and over...great music!!! The best movie ever made in Outlaw Josie Wales...hands down best written dialog, great action, can't be beat !!!!
Great list, Larry. Here’s mine in no particular order: Big Trouble in Little China (1986) The Evil Dead (1981) Highlander (1986) The Thing (1982) Terminator 2 (1991) Lord of the Rings (Peter Jackson trilogy) Akira (1988) American Psycho (2000) A Silent Voice (2016) Life of Brian (1979)
I know people (probably not here) will shame me for this but my number one is Iron Man. Came out when I stopped reading comics for a while and just launched me back into that world
Close Encounters is on mine for sure, and I'd have to wrap the whole LOTR trilogy into one spot on my list as well. I like some off the wall movies. I'd put "Boyhood", "Tombstone", and "Spider-Man 2" on there. Then it gets harder. "Interstellar", "Inception" perhaps, "Arrival" for sure (especially if you like Close Encounters), "1917". Then maybe something like "Toy Story" from my childhood to round it out.
"whips, guns, adventure, action, melting the faces off nazis and stealing from the dead" that sounds fun. Heathers, such a good film, very funny. Another tough ten, honourable mentions to a couple that just fell short .. Ipcress File, eXistenZ, Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec. Amadeus UHF Jabberwocky The Medusa Touch Penny Serenade Where Eagles Dare Notorious Night of the Demon Frankenstein / Bride of Frankenstein Jason and the Argonaughts
