Napoli is a city of its own in Italy. Chaotic traffic and crowds but it is the best of Italy! Love Napoli! People don’t have a clue about pizza until they taste one from that region. So glad you guys went there.

Hey you, finally in my country !! Starting from that sfogliatella, then the fritto misto at the fish market, to that pasta al pomodoro and you also got my favourite gelato taste: dark chocolate ! Now you understand why when we italians go abroad cannot eat any gelato !! Pizza napoletana is not my kind, I prefer thinner ones, but taste is amazing for sure. I really like to watch foreigners appreciating my culture. I hope you enjoyed it a lot in Napoli. One thing, you should really try Aperitivo in Milano, it originates in the north of italy and it's really good in the north with basically just all you can eat buffets at the price of your cocktail
Everytime I see a video from an American, I find that they are surprised by the fact that the food they eat in the restaurants is FRESH and made from FRESH ingrediends (also the simple insalata caprese made of mozzarella and tomatoes). For us Italians, the fresh ingredients is THE BASIC RULE in our everyday meals!
I visited my family in Naples in 2001 . What a place . That pizza is no joke . Stayed 2 weeks near the tennis hotel where we stayed, me and my friend went to disco bowling down the street almost every night . A different world than here in the states. People were really friendly and had great manners .

I am glad you did such a lovely and positive review of Naples. It is my favourite city in Italy. You need to go to the coast and go to the Islands. Capri, Ischia and Procida. The city is famous for the mozzarella, pizza, Cheese steak panni, fried fish etc...it is Italy's most foodie city. Lovely review 😊👍🏼

I'm actually a little surprised at how affordable so much of that food was. I had assumed it would be more expensive, as so many places in Europe are. Maybe because it's a smaller city? Might try to talk my husband into a trip there, if we still can after Brexit.

I love the coffee culture in Italy ! Usually No matter where you go, from a storefront coffee shop to a Fancy hotel ,you can easily get a cup of coffee/espresso for only an euro or so! So everyone could enjoy their national delicacy :)

Hi from Italy! I really enjoy your video, but there are some incorrectness in the explication of some ingredients. For example real pizza napoletana is not with buffalo mozzarella, but with fior di latte mozzarella. And i'm pretty sure Michele would use fior di latte. Another thing is that is very true that italian diet is based on seasonal food, but as we can se from the video your are not in the season for fresh tomatoes. Also is not so common for Italians to put sugar in his coffee. It's your choiche for sure but not a custom. Also few other things could have been describe better. I'm sorry to sound a bit fussy, but i hope this comment will be helpful, constructive and positive for your next videos. Good luck with your Chopstick Travel series, and thank you for this video. I'm from London in the UK been to Naples twice (am going again after this lockdown rubbish) I do not eat Pizza in the UK (sorry might take some flak for this bit) the Pizza the people in the US eat is garbage, greasy fat filled garbage thick & doughy, 1st time I went to Naples (our very 1st meal!) I saw a Margarita served to a table next to us, and just had to order it, for the 4 days we were there as a 'Main' I had a Margarita, the tomatoes are on a different planet. cant comment on the Coffee as I don't drink it but the Gelato is to die for, try Whitebait as a starter of if the restaurant have it on the menu try Courgette (Zucchini?) flowers deep fried OMFG, LOVE THE FOOD & WINE OF ITALY

That pizza looks good and all, and I know it is the birthplace of pizza, but I really prefer my pizza to not be as soupy as that and to have more cheese. I'm not saying like pile the cheese on like it's pizza hut or something in the US, but at least give me 60% cheese coverage instead of just the very middle portion having cheese. Of course, the tomato seems to be the star of the show yet again (which is a theme here for the food in Napoli, and for good reason), but that buffalo mozzarella could use a bit more of the limelight as well! I also prefer my crust to have a bit more leoparding to it than what was on this pizza. Quite honestly, the pizza seemed under-topped (barely any cheese and only ONE basil leaf?) and undercooked, and this is coming from the perspective of someone who truly appreciates simply prepared Neapolitan-style margherita pizza more than any other food out there. It just seems to be a bit lacking, but maybe they just got an "off" pizza this time. I've never been, but I am sure there are other great and historic pizzerias in Napoli who offer up a better margherita than this place ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm from London in the UK been to Naples twice (am going again after this lockdown rubbish) I do not eat Pizza in the UK (sorry might take some flak for this bit) the Pizza the people in the US eat is garbage, greasy fat filled garbage thick & doughy, 1st time I went to Naples (our very 1st meal!) I saw a Margarita served to a table next to us, and just had to order it, for the 4 days we were there as a 'Main' I had a Margarita, the tomatoes are on a different planet. cant comment on the Coffee as I don't drink it but the Gelato is to die for, try Whitebait as a starter of if the restaurant have it on the menu try Courgette (Zucchini?) flowers deep fried OMFG, LOVE THE FOOD & WINE OF ITALY

That pizza looks good and all, and I know it is the birthplace of pizza, but I really prefer my pizza to not be as soupy as that and to have more cheese. I'm not saying like pile the cheese on like it's pizza hut or something in the US, but at least give me 60% cheese coverage instead of just the very middle portion having cheese. Of course, the tomato seems to be the star of the show yet again (which is a theme here for the food in Napoli, and for good reason), but that buffalo mozzarella could use a bit more of the limelight as well! I also prefer my crust to have a bit more leoparding to it than what was on this pizza. Quite honestly, the pizza seemed under-topped (barely any cheese and only ONE basil leaf?) and undercooked, and this is coming from the perspective of someone who truly appreciates simply prepared Neapolitan-style margherita pizza more than any other food out there. It just seems to be a bit lacking, but maybe they just got an "off" pizza this time. I've never been, but I am sure there are other great and historic pizzerias in Napoli who offer up a better margherita than this place ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@michaelesp8929 da un punto di vista organolettico presenta molti difetti. le miscele che vengono usate sono di pessima qualità! Hai mai assaggiato un vero caffè di qualità? io credo proprio di no! Aflatossine e muffe di ogni genere, e quasi sempre miscele con arabica non pervenuta.
