Hiya, yes, that will make them thinner, but it is also because they have less pages, and no spare paper palettes. I like the second thin one, but the first I wouldn't buy again. Oh yes, the paint pens would be great for that👍
I’m sooooo looking forward to your thoughts on the Kalour pencils . I bought a few things from Temu , 72 slot pencil roll …. Under £4 and decent quality , I think being picky about what you order and reading reviews probably helps with Temu , thanks for sharing Wendy ❤xx
Thanks Charity, I'm still at the swatching page, (Which isn't quick work with this size of set!🤣) They are ok on the swatch paper they sent, but I'm yet to try them on other things to form a good opinion yet. Video is started 👍 Yes totally agree on Temu, reading the feedback, and really being careful is important. I'm pretty pleased with all of this stuff though, it's all very usable. 💗
Agreed, it is a bit tricky to find things, I found the same things coming around again. I just kept trying new descriptions in the search box. 👍 Yes agreed, I think both of those were good buys, that do normally cost more. 👍 Thanks for giving it a watch, x
Hello Wendy, Jusy watched this 5/24. Great video! Did you know, you are allowed 2 returns from each order from Temu. No need to returm item but I think if it is over a certain amount, you do need to return. Usally, they give you a credit right away if you put the money into your Temu account. I bought those kids bookmarks also. They are just okay. Paper does not take the watercolor well...but, hey...they are for kids...lol.
Thanks Amy, yes I think I had noticed other Tubers, mentioning you could send things back, I was pretty pleased with all of this haul really, it was only a few of the bookmark watercolour things that were a bit rough, and for the price, it isn't worth sending it back. I will likely still paint the book marks as I do quite like the illustrations, xx Thanks again, xx 👍❤️
@@wendyscolouring Hi Wendy, You are allowed 2 returns per order on Temu. You do not have to send item back, however, I think if it"s over a certain price, some venders will ask you to send back. For 99% of items I have returned, I got to keep the item and got my money back. You can always cancel the return, if they ask for you to send back. I like that about temu right now. For most items , they send in a bag, in turn the ones delivering ruin the item.
Some really cute items, i think that most of what you got looks useable and i feel are good for trying items before spending a load of cash on something you never use again .
Yes I was pretty pleased with all of this, I tried to only get things I could see myself using, and all of this still feels very useful. I still really like the acrylic brush markers, they are great!❤️👍
Good video. The acrylic pens looked nice. Seems like I could use them when laying out color schemes for the charity blankets I crochet. They look closer to yarn colors than the art pencils I have been using. I also do decoupage and their art papers are beautiful with great color. They are smaller than expected, but I haven’t found lower prices anywhere else. Artist brushes. A set of 12 assorted styles for all mediums. Would not use for oil painting as I prefer the high quality natural bristle ones I have used for years. These seem to be ”taklon” , are not labeled except for a brush number. Bristles are bouncy, no strays & none fell out when flicking. All the pointed brushes had clear protective sleeves.
I love the watercolor cup. Are you going to give us updates on if it's still going strong? 😂 those travel watercolor tins are adorable. And I really liked the look of the watercolors you got. I thought mauve your haul would convince me to shop there but I think im still on the fence. I did really enjoy seeing what you got tho! Thanks for sharing!
Oh yes, definitely! I'll be sad when that plastic snaps, as I do enjoy pressing that daft button! There just something sadly entertaining about watching it empty and fill!😆 Those little tins are so cheap as well. I don't think its really aimed at colourists, or even painters really, they seem to want scrapbookers and journal users. I'm guessing there are good profits on paper things even at their prices. Its all stuff I've seen on Ali, and I do prefer Ali, I have some favourite sellers on there, that I know have good quality and decent stuff. (and can wrap) Its pretty confusing web page as well. I like what I've bought, but I know what you mean, I feel like I've had to really search on there to find things Id like/use, and it should be easier and more tempting than that!😆 It was a fun video to do though, it felt like Christmas when all that stuff arrived!😆 Thanks for watching, x
Dont do it! (They sell pens!🤣😆) Its good if you want a bag of cheap stuff, I'm pretty pleased with what I've got, as its the same stuff on Amazon but more expensive. I cant see it staying at these prices, I don't see how they are making any money especially with free postage. The stencils will be a useful I thing, nice to see larger ones. 👍 Thanks for watching Lily, 💗🫶🏻🐶
The third set of watercolours are morandi colours, that's how they are, the colours are muted. I've just ordered a pochade wooden box from Temu £16!!!! Can't wait. Those markers are amazing!!! I bought them then bought the morandi ones
HIya, I quite like all the watercolours I bought, they all work well. The markers are excellent, I also have gone back and bought the Morandi Markers, to add to this large set. I was tempted by the wooden box palette, interested to know what you think when you get it. 👍❤️
❤😊 I like seeing the Temu hauls as I do have questions about some of their products. I have found quite a few are sold on Amazon, Esty and other sites for a great deal more money. The identical Meeden porcelain palette sales for $12.95 us and the cheap Water Circulation Design--Brush Rinser sales for $11.98 us. There was a reason given for the bottom of the Meeden palette it says, What’s on the B side? Some glaze and leveled surface to ensure stability. Temu has some great handy products for very reasonable prices. It’s fun to go shopping! I’ll be back to watch your other videos too. Fran
Hiya Fran, 🖐️ , yes undoubtably some of this stuff is on Amazon and other more expensive places, I think Temu wont keep the prices this good for long, I cant think they are making much, especially with the free postage. I don't think they had much stock of the Meedan palettes, as by the time mine had arrived I noticed they are out of stock of it. I'll be interested to see if they get any more stock at those prices. ( it was undoubtably a good buy though) I hadn't seen the brush rinser thing here, but yes thats a bit of a price jump. Overall, I enjoyed doing this selection, interesting to see whats available for the money, and Im pleased with it all, I would have spent much more getting all this, even from Ali Express i think. thanks for watching, so glad you've found it useful, x 👍
The US state department and other agencies have warned that Temu is part owned by the Chinese government and military and sells your information on the dark web and if you use the app, the app puts spyware and other hidden malware on your phone. The items are so cheap because YOU and YOUR INFORMATION are the product-they can keep your info for a few months until you forget about it and then sell it. You’ve given them address, credit card number, etc, even your password (many people use the same passwords on multiple sites), enough to get your social security number and other supposedly “private” details if they want to. I’d rather pay a bit more for the items on Amazon-where they are actually selling products, not making you and your info the product-than risk giving my info to China.
Hiya Patti, Sadly I cant recommend them for any books, all the books I found looked like copyright rip off's so I didn't risk them. The little bookmark/postcard books are cute, but they are available on Amazon as well. I mainly got Arty stuff as you've probably seen. 👍
Wendy, I don’t know if you’ve heard but the reason Temu is so cheap is because the company supposedly has tracked Temu app users’ personal and financial data and their other company (the Chinese version of Temu) is under investigation for stealing personal data, identities, attaching spyware to your system and changing your devices’ settings. I don’t know if this is all true but I am not risking it just to save $15 on an order. Buyer beware! Still enjoyed your video.
Hiya, I've replied more on your other comment, but yes, I don't buy using the app, only on the website on my computer (Mac) so it's reasonably safe that way. I run anti virus/spyware on that so I'm happy it's fine. I only ever pay vis PayPal, they never have my data. Ive had no issues thankfully this way. xx Thanks for watching, x ❤️
Thanks Trudy, LOL, that's funny, as it's what I'm doing as well, I do like the swatch chart they come with. (Mine are from Ali though, wasn't paying the daft Amazon price!) 💗
@@wendyscolouring yeah the swatch chart is cool. How much did you pay on Ali? They were £52 on Temu. I'm loving the range of colours in the set. But I think some of the colour names are weird for the actual colour lol.
Yes, fortunately I was pretty lucky with all the stencils I got, I wouldn't say they were thick, but they are ok to use, and will hold up ok I think. Send them back if you aren't happy, even at those prices, if they aren't right they should do something about it. x
HIya Jodie, yes the stencils sizes are good, I know what you mean, but it still comes from there even if you get amazon stuff, its tough to avoid I think. I think the Tim Holtz ones are US made aren't they but they are so pricey especially over here. Thanks for giving it a watch, x 👍
I would love to order from Temu…BUT……my husband has been looking on their website and seen so so many complaints..stuff ordered and paid for not received and not able to speak to them. So I’m stuck as I can’t work the computer..I watch things on my iPad!😢😢 looks like your things were acceptable. I’m green with envy 😢😢. Thank for doing this video.🥰💕🐶🇬🇧
Yes, I have heard many things. Ive done a few orders with them, and I've not had any issues. I don't use the app, ( seems to be a lot of issues with that) I only order via the website, but I always pay via paypal, so I have extra protection with them. I can always raise a claim via paypal if needed. Thankfully I've had no issues so I haven't needed to. He's right to be careful, I wouldn't give them my credit card numbers, I'm not trusting them that much, but when the payment is with paypal, it protects my card details, and gives me more control over if money is taken. 👍
OOps sorry Johanna, 😆I couldn't help myself, I was just too curious what might be good for colouring. Theres loads of stickers and paper packs for your journaling on there, it would be dangerous to look! 😉
Hi Wendy! I have ordered from Temu. I purchased the Brutfuner Metallic Colored Pencils, stencils, plastic containers for my stickers and a cute planter. Everything showed up in one piece ( planter) the Pencils were in Excellent Condition. I think they are Good, like You said, Not Ordering the Coloring Books! Thank You for Sharing. Enjoy Your New Goodies! 💜💜xx
Oh good, nice to know the pencils arrive ok. were they well packaged, that was my only worry. If I hadn't just ordered the Kalour's from Ali, I'd have tried a small pack to see myself. Over all I'm pleased with what I bought, I just think you have to be a bit careful about what you order, check reviews. Thanks for giving it a watch, 👍
Ugh! They were inside that famous Orange Bag, inside a bubble-wrap envelope. I had ordered a bunch of Stencils and Stickers, the pencils were in the middle of everything. 💜x
The portrait w/c set doesn't really cover Caucasians- presumably the bright pink is for rosy cheeks. If I met someone that colour I'd be racing them to the hospital. I think they have to wrap everything in plastic because people complain when the packaging gets dirty. It was lovely to see you opening and using the items. Thanks
Yes I see what you mean, it could do with a pale tone, I think it will still be useful and thankfully cheap. The packaging does need a re-think, its too much, i'd rather it was a paper wrap, at least its an easy recycle. I cant lie, I loved making this video, its was like Christmas, as I'd forgotten what I'd ordered by the time it arrived!😂😁 I'm pretty happy with it all surprisingly, even my water dispenser thing is still working, surprisingly! 👍❤️
I ordered a big size Baohong watercolour paper pad as I hear good things about it all the time and saw they had them for way cheaper on Temu. Also they are always out of stock on Jackson’s. I got the professional one but I know the academy one is good too. I went for the NOT paper though which is rougher. I need to give it a try. The hot press paper you have should be good for gouache and acrylic I’d imagine.
I was very tempted to get the professional one, but I was trying to stay to a budget, and that would have taken me over, so I thought I'd try the Academy one, as it is still supposed to be good. I'll give it a try with some watercolour, what's the worst that can happen!😉 Overall I think it makes sense ordering this from Temu or Ali, rather than Jacksons, 👍 (Jacksons get enough of our cash!😁)
This is the first time I have seen someone use one of those gravity fed water brush cleaner things that makes it look almost worth having. I think using it for watercolours makes the most sense. I see everyone else trying it with acrylics and it’s rubbish.
I've been really surprised by it, I'm 6 months on since I first got it and its still working well. It won't work for acrylics, the plastics in the acrylics will get stuck in the mechanism, and that will ruin it. It's excellent for watercolour, and I've only used it with watercolour. I use it most weeks. It's needs a good clean every so often, and the little screw underneath has gone rusty, but it's still working really well, I'll be sad when it finally does stop working. 👍
HIya, yes they are ok, the paper isnt amazing, they do warp a little when very wet, but they are fun to work on, and quite quick to finish, as they are small. The paint is a bit rubbish, but I'll just use some of my normal stuff next time. Great for a quick colour👍❤️
Hi Janet, I'm aware, as long as you are careful putting it in, it's much better for the brush to dry out this way up. The other way you trap water ands paint in the metal ferule of the brush, and risk loosening the glue that hold the bristles in. One of the reasons I bought this tub, was because I knew it was designed to hold brushes the right way up like this. You do need to take care putting them in, but then it's much better for the bristles, wood and metal of the brush.👍
😆🤣 Three! Oh gosh! yes thats a habit forming there! I think I'm good for the moment, although I cant deny it was fun opening all the bags and seeing what it was all like, Its like a cheap Christmas!🤣 Thankfully I will need to wait till payday now, so no more orders for me for a few weeks!😁
Lol! don't tempt me! 😄 I have a lot of washi, and am in danger of just collecting it, rather than using it. I haven't bought any from Temu yet, as I have loads from Ali, ( There is a video somewhere in my history!) I will no doubt have a look now you've mentioned it!🤣
Lol! I'm quite fortunate in that I can recycle quite a lot in my household bins, ( we have many) but plastic film is just a nightmare, and every single thing in this haul was plastic covered, mostly pointlessly. Thanks so much for watching, Tracy, x ❤️💗
Oh gosh, that's a question! I think if you just want cheap bargains, then Temu is cheaper, but the packaging is rubbish. You really have to read the descriptions carefully, as the images can be deceiving, there are a lot of palettes that look like ceramic but are just plastic. There are certainly some good deals on there, the ceramic palette I got, is much more expensive everywhere else, and is good quality. But if I'm buying books, or big packs of pencils, then I'm going to the trusted shops I've used on Ali for years. I have a few shops that I know wrap their goods really well, so I don't mind spending a bit more with them. Temu is cheaper at the moment, I will be interested to see, how long they can keep that going in the current climate. I like both, but you need to buy with caution with both, and I always pay with PayPal, I never give either my bank details.
the painting booklets are thinner because they dont have the paintbrush in the back cover. the acrylic paint pens are great for colour by number.
Hiya, yes, that will make them thinner, but it is also because they have less pages, and no spare paper palettes. I like the second thin one, but the first I wouldn't buy again. Oh yes, the paint pens would be great for that👍

Great haul! Have you tried the little watercolor books? How do you like them?
HIya, yes they are ok, the paper isnt amazing, they do warp a little when very wet, but they are fun to work on, and quite quick to finish, as they are small. The paint is a bit rubbish, but I'll just use some of my normal stuff next time. Great for a quick colour👍❤️
You have put the brush in the drying holes upside down on your water pot, it should go handle side down otherwise you will damage the brush hairs.
Your reply makes perfect sense. I was worried that I could spread and wreck the brush hairs. I'll do it that way from now on.
I'm addicted! Tread carefully. I have done 3 hauls from them . Lol 😂
😆🤣 Three! Oh gosh! yes thats a habit forming there! I think I'm good for the moment, although I cant deny it was fun opening all the bags and seeing what it was all like, Its like a cheap Christmas!🤣 Thankfully I will need to wait till payday now, so no more orders for me for a few weeks!😁
Oow my goodness I love the water thingie too😱
Yay, me too! Its totally tat, but I love it!😆🫶🏻
Fun goodie!
Thanks Poet, There is too much cheap goodies on there, I need to not look!😆
Temu washy tapes. Are quite pretty.😊
Lol! don't tempt me! 😄 I have a lot of washi, and am in danger of just collecting it, rather than using it. I haven't bought any from Temu yet, as I have loads from Ali, ( There is a video somewhere in my history!) I will no doubt have a look now you've mentioned it!🤣
“I hate plastic wrap… unnecessary waste” 😂 and just like that I’m a new subscriber
Love your content
Lol! I'm quite fortunate in that I can recycle quite a lot in my household bins, ( we have many) but plastic film is just a nightmare, and every single thing in this haul was plastic covered, mostly pointlessly. Thanks so much for watching, Tracy, x ❤️💗
What is better Teemu or AliExpress what do you like better?
Cool Haul
Thanks Jamie, x🫶🏻
