Dude your tutorials are dope!! So clear and concise, which is something that is hard to find with a LOT of production vids. Your side-chaining video was a game changer. Keep it up!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love your videos man, I've been learning so much from them! Also at 9:14 I think you can make it sound even better if you change the polyphony from 16 to 1.
In the Logic Sampler, have you tried adjusting the ENV 1 Release, instead of the attack? What you're having there seems to be because of the release, not the attack. It just needs that tiny bit of release there to smooth things up in the tiny holes that you have between the notes. On the Alchemy the release might no be set so tight. Which makes sense for many reasons (for example when using looped synth oscillator wave forms; you'll have clicks going on all over the place with 0 sec attack & 0 release) BTW, I now see the Alchemy's release setting in your video, at 13min41sec: it's quite a long release there, while in Logic Sampler, you have a 0 sec release.
I think you still need to set the polyphony to "1" in what you're calling the multi-sampler to avoid any re-trigger in addition to setting it to Legatto. Alchemy does sound great though!
@@itstonyholiday At 7:53 you switch the mode to Legato, which is what we want, but at the bottom of the Synth / Details tab, the Polyphony is still set to 16. This needs to be set to "1" to avoid a re-trigger. I know it seems redundant but this is the only way I could get it to glide properly.

How do I open up instrument alchemy or whatever? I do exactly what you do but it seems like I’m still just getting the alchemy for sound design because every time I put a 808 sample in it’s a completely different sound that plays back
Or can someone tell me why it’s playing something else and not the sample I put in? I followed everything to the T so I hope that answers any questions
Yes exactly. Vox might not be as smooth because sometimes if you're sliding between chops they're effectively different samples. But with a little tweaking you can make it work for sure!

So you don't usually use the legato mode in alchemy or do you?
Yes I do, legato in Alchemy, very slight amount on the slide knob
How do I open up instrument alchemy or whatever? I do exactly what you do but it seems like I’m still just getting the alchemy for sound design because every time I put a 808 sample in it’s a completely different sound that plays back
Or can someone tell me why it’s playing something else and not the sample I put in? I followed everything to the T so I hope that answers any questions
Make sure you put it on sample
@@itstonyholiday yo thank you 🙏🏾 that’s awesome you still reply even after seven months. Definitely worth a sub
Appreciate it my guy, just tryna help out where I can!
Thanks for this. Would you recommend similar settings in Sampler for vocal sample gliding? Would you use legato and similar settings?
Yes exactly. Vox might not be as smooth because sometimes if you're sliding between chops they're effectively different samples. But with a little tweaking you can make it work for sure!
@@itstonyholiday Thanks Tony!
Brett Rosenberg anytime. Thanks for watching Brett 🙌
