@@n8ivegogo1 Just purchased & was wondering if by chance you would know if it has an old arcade wrestling game on it from like 1982 called Tag Team Wrestling or The Big Pro Wrestling ? Seems hard to find as I've tried 2 different raspberry pi devices with no luck. Thanks for any info.
I love this. Picked up mine a while back for $225. Ps1 and ps2 are awesome. Best conversion to HD I've seen and runs fast. Only disappointment was Bully was missing..but pretty much everything else is there. And it all works great!

I got mine months ago I use my retro fighters defender controller 🎮 sweet , it's a beast !! A few GameCube games act up but that's it ... Hardrive behind TV an your set,I love it !! Ashtray to hold hardrive.
It does have many issues sadly. Sometimes it gets confused with multiple controllers for two or more players and doesn't work. A lot of games aren't what they say they are. There's no Phantasy Star 4 for example. A big issue though is playing multi disc games. It works fine for the PS1 even though you have to use Retroarch to switch discs. But for Saturn and Dreamcast it will not work at all. There is no way to switch discs for games like D2 or Panzer Dragoon Saga. Nothing will work. At least not without changing things with a PC or something which is not an option for a lot of people. There are other issues as well. I'd say it's about 70% there. There are definitely things that need to be addressed for the price that they ask.
@@kinhank1688Mario Kart is one. Sometimes the screen just turns blue and that's it. There are games that will work, I've tried Evolution and that works and I tried Skies of Arcadia, but sometimes when you start a game it just kicks you back out to the main menus. I haven't tried every game so I can't say anything about a lot of them but that is what I have found so far.
Wii , it's the controller 🎮 an figuring out buttons for tht damn Wii remote 😅 GameCube has a few games that run bad but only a few , but the same games are in PS2 so u still have another copy
I had nothing but problems of all sizes with this unit, games freezing, frame rate issues, controller problems. I returned it two days later as I was very frustrated with it.
Having had one for a few months Mark I can say it's good but it does have real problems that people should know about. You should run it thru tests and do a follow up video. No one has done that and it would be nice of you to be the first. These are some things I think people should know and I have told Kinhank about them all. For one thing the Wii games and the GameCube games don't always work. Sometimes they will other times it will just boot you out back to the menu. They are very unreliable. The second issue is that not all the games are listed properly. There are games that say they are something but they are actually just copies of other games. For example Phantasy Star 4 for the Genesis is not Phantasy Star 4 when you start it. Instead it starts up Phantasy Star 2. Thunder Force 2 starts up as something else ECT. This is an issue that you won't know about until you try out a bunch of stuff. The third problem is that some games just don't work. And not complex games either. Basic arcade games such as Berserk won't work. That's aside from the fact that there are a bunch of classic arcade games such as Trog that just aren't on there. The fourth issue is that almost none of the games that say they are translated actually are. Some games such as Super Robot Wars for the PS1 are translated in English which is cool. But many other games that say they are such as Policenauts are not. Again you have to go thru them to see. A simple check won't turn that up unless you go to those right away. The fifth and biggest problem is that multi disc games for the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast will not work. That is to say that you can play the first disc of say Panzer Dragoon Saga but you can not switch discs at all no matter what you try. I've spent a lot of time trying out different things and nothing works. All PS1 games will switch discs. But after trying 4 Saturn games I can totally confirm that they will not work. And that's not just me having an issue either. I contacted the company at least 6 times over three weeks and actually told them to try out a Saturn or Dreamcast game and see if they could make it work. They got back to me and told me that they will not work. Maybe they can fix it in future editions or with an update or something. But as it stands those multi disc games will not work for anything but PS1 games. In fact they actually gave me $40 off after they confirmed my problems so that was nice of them at least. There are other little issues but those are the big ones. Finding controllers that work well can be an issue as well. The one it comes with is fine as long as it works. I'm using an EasySMX controller that works with the PS3 and that seems to do well. But it may take some experimenting. Also making a copy of the HDD onto a SSD would be a good idea. I got a 4 terabyte SP drive for under $200 and that does well. Although keep in mind it will take up to two days to copy everything and for some reason none of the 3DS games would copy over. Not sure why. But in spite of those issues it's still pretty good. It will run PS2 games at 3x resolution no problem which is impressive. And the fact that it even runs games like PSP games or Saturn games like Burning Rangers or lets you play 3DS games on a TV is cool. So it's good but all your viewers, and you, should be aware there are issues. I just wanted to let you know.
Sounds like you have to do a bit of tinkering, which is straight up my alley. The 3558 chipset is good enough for most emulators , also there is a Batocera build for this chipset.
@@0ldSkoolgenxYes. If you were to hook it up to a PC and you knew what you were doing you might be able to fix some of the issues. Sadly I don't have a PC or any skills to do that and I don't know anyone who fools around with stuff like this. So just out of the box there are issues.
I think the games not booting issue is simply a case of bad roms or ISO files. Quite easy to replace those with other games. It is a shame about the translations not all being true. I didn't even notice there was a translation set. The biggest issues I think this has is the default emulators for Saturn and Jaguar being poor. They do need updating. I also think the Wii emulator needs attention. I've not had a chance to update that yet but I'd hope it is fixable. The system sure has enough grunt to run the games.
I got it last month. When I play Wii and GameCube games, they return to the main menu the first time I try to start them, but they work fine on the second attempt. Sega and Dreamcast games load automatically without needing to switch discs. Excellent stuff
@@3301DavidThe games will start fine but games like Panzer Dragoon Saga or D will not automatically go to the next disc. They will not play at all in fact. Even PS1 games will not switch discs automatically. You have to do it using the menus with Retroarch. Dreamcast games like D2 will also not switch to the next disc. So those games are all useless here unless it's fixed or something.
Had my super console x5 pro for a few months now, its awesome. The only thing i dislike is that GameCube games dont work well, would have preferred adding more PS2 titles instead.
It really is! I've seen the X2 and while it's not awful it did lack in a few areas. I just wish when these companies put together emulation boxes they make more effort with setting up the emulators.
From my admittedly limited knowledge of Jaguar internals, I'm pretty sure Tempest 2000 is actually one of the harder Jaguar games to emulate correctly. The thing is, it's also almost the only game on the Jaguar to be worth emulating, so it tends to get special attention from emulator developers.
According to other users -- has several serious issues !!! Buyer beware !!! Make sure you read the reviews on websites that sell this !!! One user stated his hard drive crashed and is now unusable !! I believe content creators should advise us of all the possible problems these hard drives can have !!! Some games have some serious input lag. !
If you boot from micro sd(make sure sdcard is inserted before power up) with rk3588 version of batocera let it extend the partition and do it stuff. Then add your roms and bios. Jaguar emulation Tempest runs full speed. Using Batocera his way faster then using the consoles inteface.Only downside you need eject you card to use the normal interface. Also supreme retorpie works.
Best thing about this beast is an RK3588 design (4 performance, 4 efficiency cores) and its Mali G610. This is a flagship processor of the Orange PI 5 Pro variety, which will run rings around RPI5. Reason I bought it is Retro-Center will be releasing R-CADE for these types of devices, and I am currently using an RK3399 in my Atgames Core Mac to run R-CADE for good Dreamcast emulation, but that tops out beyond that. Yes, RK3588 has mediocre graphics performance in Linux due to drivers, which is why this is marketed as an Android, but interesting to see if R-CADE can be booted when available.
This shouldn't be $350 this should be about $150; or less than that. You can get a RG406v for around $180 and its portable and can connect to an external monitor or tv. Any box asking for $350 it should be able to do at least half of what Steam deck does.
Purchased this a few days ago but if anybody can answer this I'd appreciate it. Does this have an old wrestling arcade game from 1982 I think called either Tag Team Wrestling or The Big Pro Wrestling (I've seen it both ways) ? Any help would be great. Really liked those early 80's arcade wrestling games.
Very handy! Surprised it supports full 3.5" HDD as well and not just 2.5". Must be supplying 12v? Wonder if you can add a disc drive to it for loading disc games onto
I know during this video you were using the 4TB drive with the super console x5 Pro using Sata to Sata between the 4TB drive and the console. My question is with the 12TB drive it doesn’t have Sata? To connect the 12TB drive to the console would I use USB 3.0 from the console to the 12TB drive then HDMI from the console to the TV? Thank You
Yes it works I have my drive in an enclosure and reads fine the usb3.0 port … I don’t even use the sata port I prefer the drive that came with it placed in an enclosure for cooling purposes ….
@ Thank You so much I’m going to use the usb 3.0 port to hook up my kinhank 12TB to the super console x5 pro. I prefer to use the super console and play these retro games on the tv rather than get a new gaming PC. Since the super console is already setup for retro gaming I probably won’t have to setup anything like I would have to if I installed it on a PC. Using the 12 TB drive on the super console is most likely just plug and play. Thanks again for responding to my questions.
@@ritualdelo I thought I read that the separate 12 Gig drive wouldn't work with this and would only work on a PC. Is that wrong? I would hate to get it and not have it work.
@@FLHilde but you have to think that only the seagate hdd cost empty around 120-150€, gamesir controllers also not like cheap 5€ controllers and the chipset of box is quite good. Around 280€ is fair price and you can find it in little lower price than this.
So i wanted to replace my raspberry pi with this for my home arcade. I have a android compatible pcb control board would this work. I'm hoping i can just load into emulation station configure the joystick through there.
I bought one 2 weeks ago.i been haven troubles on ps2 and ps1 ..racing games the x bottom dont want to accelerate ..ive try everything i think .maping the controll .. when i press the x bottom is like pushing it 2 times so i got to press it very fast so it counts 1 time ...what could it be ..?? Who has the same problem?
If you are using the controller it comes with it could be that. It's a good controller when it works. But the buttons can die. Or they will press themselves to be more accurate. I had the same issue with the first one. I would play a game and it wouldn't accelerate in Mario Kart and in some shooters like Gate of Thunder it would constantly press the fire button making it impossible to use the options. I actually got a new controller of the same type from Amazon,or you could try another kind, and it's fine. As long as the controller works of course. So it may be the controller and not the system.
My controller has die after 3 days. It wont turn on and has been vibrating for a day now. Iv tried 4 other different controllers and they will not work or map. This system needs work before selling to the consumer
@3:49 that is a microUSB Port on the Gamesir controller, not USB-C. They are likely using older versions of Gamesir controllers here to save $$ , but Gamesir does make pretty solid controllers for the most part. Way better than the cheap knockoff PS3 controllers that I have seen on so many emulator boxes from China.
I just ordered one after watching this review, but I want to get a hard cover for the HDD. Can the X5 Pro run the games, if the HDD is connected with a USB 3.0 cable?
Im having some issues. Having arrived with no controller, i set up my own. This connected fine, i played some PSP games and the start and select buttons work fine. I configured the controller to be sure its all working in the settings menu. However, when i try and play PS2 games, the controller doesn't function, i tried all the burnout series, and when i tried to press the start button, nothing happened. Any idea's anyone?
Sadly that is an issue. Before you play PS2 games you have to go to the emulator on the main menu. I forgot what it's called but I think it's the first one on the left side. I'm sure you can find it. Then go to the options section. It's the little gear symbol at the top. There should be a controls option. Go to that and you can scroll at the top to go thru graphics settings and controller settings. You have to map your controller button by button. That usually works for me. You might have to do it again if you shut the system off but not always. It's weird sometimes. Something else to keep in mind is that you can change the resolution of the games. Anywhere from 1.75 times up to 4 or more. Be aware that it will affect performance of some games. Games like Outrun run like garbage at times 2 as does Balders Gate 1. So you have to try things out. I haven't had an issue with PSP games but GameCube and Wii games can be hit or miss. Setting up controllers can be annoying and they don't always work. Sometimes they just kick you out to the main menu. Also be aware that games are mislabeled. Like Phantasy Star 4 is actually just Phantasy Star 2 and Thunderforce 3 is just 4 ECT. Also is does have some translated games like Super Robot Wars for the PS1 which is awesome. But not all the hands it says are translated actually are. Like Policenauts isn't ECT. Some arcade games also don't work like Berserk. So you will have to try stuff out and make a favorite list. I've spent months going over everything. The biggest issue is that multi disc games for the Saturn and Dreamcast will not work. Oh the first disc will work but then you can't switch discs when that is done. No it will not do it automatically. You have to press in on both sticks and use the Retroarch menu. There you can use the switch discs option. But nothing will work. I've tried every Saturn game and they won't work after the first disc. Single disc games are fine. And weirdly PS1 games will switch discs. I've tried 5 games and they all work even if it's a bit flaky. In fact I contacted Kinhank many times over weeks and finally they tried a Saturn game and it didn't work for them so they actually gave me $40 back which was nice. But be aware of those issues. If you come up with more or actually get the multi disc Saturn or Dreamcast games to switch discs let me know. I'd love to see someone do it but no one has ever made a follow up video about that issue. Maybe Mark will.
@kellinwinslow1988 I plan on doing a Christmas review of this console. It's definitely not plug and play and it's kind of advertised as being so. However, it's worth every penny, and hopefully, with some updates, these issues can be resolved. Now the controller!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!! It took me a while how to figure this out, but figure it out, i did!! The issue here is that even if you can get into the menu to re-map your controller, you can't navigate the menu because the controller won't work. So to be clear, the controller works fine on the front end menu ,(This menu allows remapping of controller also) the moment you get into the retroarch menu, not the front end menu, the controller fails to work. Anyway I was able to use the remote control whilst in the PS2 game to bring up the settings menu, and by simply pressing the "Auto detect option", i was able to get my controller to be recognised in PS2 games!! As i am doing a review, I will look into the multi disc option to see if there are any answers!!! Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
@@timdark9282No problem. I have also had the issue where the controller works fine but as soon as you get into the Retroarch menu it fails to work. Sometimes it happens when the controller I'm using shuts itself off if I don't use it for awhile. Other times it has happened when I've tried to activate a second controller while in a game. I haven't figured out exactly why that happens but I shut the system off and when I play it later it's fine. I just make sure I don't do anything like that while in a game. I should have said use the air mouse remote though. Forgot about that. Lol. You need to use it for N64 games and other stuff as well so it's pretty important. But if you try Saturn stuff just try D first. The first disc is super short so it's a good first test. Deep Fear isn't bad either as a test. The real jewel on this entire system is Panzer Dragoon Saga. I actually have an original copy of the game but the fact that you can't switch discs for it is a real pisser. Anyhow let me know about anything you do with it and if you have a video or something I'll check it out for sure.
@@ayoubi777You might be able to put more games on it but you would have to hook it up to a PC and know what you are doing. I haven't ever done anything like that but I'm sure it's possible. As for removing games yes you can. But I wouldn't do it for fear of screwing something up. You would have to make absolutely sure you don't want the game and that it wouldn't affect something. Your best bet would be to get another HDD,an SSD or something, then clone it and fool around with that. That way if something happens you don't like you still have the original.
You have to swap out the ps2 and gamecube emulators. For the specific ones for weaker android hardware. dolphin mmj apk for GameCube and nether xx2 for ps2. IT will Push the Performance big time
greetings , does the system requires updates before try to emulate games , or just plug and play , thanks , a game sistem able to handle many consoles for one price , impressive !!!!
Iv had mine for 3 days and the controller that comes with has completely stopped working and iv tried 4 other different controllers to navigate through but they with not even navigate through to front end to map the buttons. So I highly doubt you will get a Wii remote to work with this
Is there 🤔 anything special i should do when i get this? I ordered it for my kids to enjoy my old games i used to play. Should i back up the hard drive or anything? When should i update it? Ect ect
No update was required but it's always a good idea to back up the harddrive if you have the space. Basically as shown on the video, it's plug in and play. Just choose the emulator front-end you wish to use and off you go. I have read in the comments that some people have issues with PS2 games not having the buttons mapped correctly but I didn't have that issue with the joypad I was using.
Maybe you bought a cheaper set? These types of things can often have various "sets". Contact the seller to ask if they made a mistake by sending you the wrong harddrive.
This is rather impressive, would you say it's one of the best android boxes out there? I prefer to play games on native hardware with mods because I still have them and rather bring new life to them. That's why I've been enjoying GBA games so much. But in the same way I also game on my laptop, sometimes the convenience of portability and all-in-oneness are very important to me
I've had one for a few months and while it is good there are issues with it. I won't list them all here but look for my comment on this video and you can see every issue that I have come across.
Aside from typical Chinese spec advertising "quirkiness" (8k UHD), we finally get the Android TV box that's NOT based on ~2016 SoC. Ok, the Saturn emulation does have drops here & there, but Saturn IS a difficult system to emulate on ARM chips. As for the janky JAG emulation, it can be sorted out with the better emulator. Not that you really want to play the JAG games, but whatever. With a custom firmware, I'd say this is a VERY good choice if price tag isn't too offensive for your liking👌
Having had one for a few months there are issues I have come across. The fact that it runs Saturn games like Burning Rangers at all is impressive. But the huge problem is that it will not work with any multi disc games for the Saturn or Dreamcast. That is to say that you can play the first disc of something like D or Panzer Dragoon Saga. But you can not switch discs at all period. I've tried many things and even contacted the company many times over three weeks. I had a big back and forth with them and finally they tried some games and told me that they will not work. They actually gave me $40 off which was nice. But it sucks that they don't work. All PS1 games will switch discs. But that's it. There are other issues I can across and if you look for my comment on Marks video you can read them for yourself. But suffice to say it's a good but not quite great device.
Regarding disc switching games on Saturn and Dreamcast, most games will save before asking to switch disc. From here, all you need to do is boot up the 2nd disc and load the save. Very much like a ode.
Yeah, I'm very doubtful about those 8K claims. I bet they sell it as saying you can have 2 X 4k output which is possible. The USB C on the back is a video out.
@@RetroCoreYou would think it's that easy but it's not. It will ask you to save yes. And I did with several Saturn games like D,Deep Fear and Panzer Dragoon Saga. But then you start the second disc and nothing happens. It will not start or let you play it. You would have to try it yourself to see. Something easy like the first disc of D can be done in an hour. If you try that you will see. Now with PS1 games it will let you switch although it does not do it automatically. You need to use the disc switching option on Retroarch. But that won't work for Saturn or Dreamcast. If you get it to work Mark I would love to see you do it on a video. This is an issue no one talks about and no one has bothered to try it out. You would help a lot of people if you actually made a short video about this.
@@RetroCoreBut when you start the second disc of a Saturn game it will not even recognize that you have a save from disc one. Again if you actually take some time and get this to work Mark I would love to see you do it. Or even if you can't get it to work. It would help greatly just to see you do it.
It's worth the money just for the PSP games alone...if it can emulate that handheld many mini game boxes struggle with then its a bargain...all the rest of the cheap Chinese budget consoles can do up to Advance and PSX and some N64...if this isn't perfect with GameCube and Wii then play on real hardware...or buy high end like Steam Deck or Aya Neo or Switch type devices...I'd buy this just for PSP games...i never owned that Sony handheld i skipped it...PSX to PS2...finally PS3...I've added Wii and XBox and 360 to my collection...missed out on DS series and PSP...be good to see the latter on a TV screen
Thank you for focusing on ps2 performance as that’s pretty much my personal area of interest. At this point it seems like you could play up to ps1 on a potato. 😁
Sure but I imagine you'd have to edit some sort of config file so that the emulator knows the Roms are there. Or if there's a refresh database option (should be), that will add the new roms as long as they're stored in the correct folders.
I appreciate the video... thanks... but why do reviewers ALWAYS show games that are always going to run with minimal fuss ?... Frustrating I would also like to see a full specs breakdown... Guessing maybe this was donated by kinhank .. where is Outrun for PSP ? That is hard to run.... Contra for switch... Hardly challenging...
I got this device yesterday. I still have not been able to play any GameCube games. When I click on the game icon like in the other systems, it just kicks me back to the GameCube selection menu. I had to configure the control for PS2 and I also followed the instruction manual to configure it for GameCube. Still nothing when I try to play. I found a TH-cam video by Kinhank explaining how to “set path to GameCube and Wii games” and followed those instructions yet still no success. Can anyone who is able to play GameCube games please tell me how to get them to play? I largely got this for the GameCube selection. Overall I’ve loved playing some nostalgic PS1, Ps2, SNeS, NES, Genesis, Dreamcast, Saturn, PSP and 3DS games. Most of the games work without issue but a few are either mislabeled or have error messages (several of the PS2 games show the title but then say “game data not available“ under it) The setup was not difficult but I need to learn more about how to get the GameCube games playing. I will try to play a Wii game today. All the other systems I have tried have worked and save well and play just fine. Maybe one had slow load times and slower frame rate.
It may be obvious but did you buy a version with Game Cube ISO files included? Another viewer didn't have PS2 on his but we found out he had bought a cheaper set with a smaller harddrive which was why there were no PS2 games. The 4TB model should have Game Cube games though. I'm not sure about other models.
@ thanks for asking, I did buy the 4TB version with the full selection of about 600 GameCube titles. I have gotten Eternal Darkness to Load twice now and Animal Crossing once , but then I try to reconfigure the controls and play but I can’t get back to the game. It just kicks me right back to the game select screen sadly.
I have had the same issues. Look up my post here for the longer version of my story. But yes Gamecube games are hit or miss. Sometimes they work great other times not at all. There really is no way to fix it that I have found. Sometimes configuring the controls before you start a game works other times no. The Wii games have the same issue except the controls can be a pain to set up. There are mislabeled games yes and some don't work. The most frustrating thing is multi disc games for the Saturn and Dreamcast won't let you switch discs. PS1 games are fine but not Saturn. I've tried 3 and none work. I'd love to see a video of someone trying it but no one has made one. Probably can't be bothered. Lol. There are other issues but for GameCube games you'll just have to wave your voodoo stick and do a dance and hope they decide to work that day. Since I have a GameCube with a bunch of games it's no huge deal to me. I mainly got it for the Saturn games, even though I have two of them, and the 3DS games. But I feel your pain.
Neat but not $300 neat. Anything $300 and up may as well build your own pc and curate the games. That way you don’t just get a cheap bog standard ROM dump.
I read that if you don’t have a good gaming PC you can plug the kinhank 12TB HDD into the super console x5 pro and play it on your tv??? Is this true??? Thank You
Thank You!! I might buy the super console x5 pro and play the 12TB HDD on my tv instead of buying a new gaming PC that would handle this drive. Great Video and thanks for the response back.
Serious problems with this device, PS 2 doesn't work, the controll pad is dead. Can't start any PS2 game, same as GAMECUBE, WII. The SELECT button doesn't work on SNES.
I've bought one of these bootleg external hardrives in the past but thier all the same..at the endbof the day all the games won't play and u will have stubborn emulators loading games, plus u have to take in figure if u have the right up to par specs to play these games..Why doesn't any1 mention that part..All they say alot of games and it plays but that's a lie.The only good thing about these is just copying the roms for saving time collecting them for ur build or soon to be build that's all.i bought a 2Tb and yes it had games and Launch box but prefer RetroBat but it sucked when trying to play all the games..It seemed outdated I copied what I needed, reformatted the drive and installed RetroBat and have a beefy build now 😆..filled the the whole drive quick with my emulators and roms.
Thanks although I'm not sure what you mean by that unless you are talking about testing out how multi disc games work in which case I agree with you. That is an issue for Saturn and Dreamcast games for sure. The HDD can be put under the unit and it's not so bad. But of course you can just get a SSD and clone the HDD onto that.

At least not without changing things with a PC or something which is not an option for a lot of people. There are other issues as well. I'd say it's about 70% there. There are definitely things that need to be addressed for the price that they ask.
Please let me know the names of these GameCube games, and we will work on improving them.
@kinhank1688 just emailed you, need a new manual, 8s there a digital manual? Thx
Yes it does a lot of people are having problems getting GameCube and Wii to work
Wii , it's the controller 🎮 an figuring out buttons for tht damn Wii remote 😅 GameCube has a few games that run bad but only a few , but the same games are in PS2 so u still have another copy
@@bobbyblanco5351 is there a trick to get ps2 or GameCube to work? Controller unresponsive for these platforms out the box
Yeah the problem is PS 2 wint even run, the controller is completely dead. Doesnt work AT ALL, same with gamecub and WII@@bobbyblanco5351
Great review bro, love your content!
I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Had my super console x5 pro for a few months now, its awesome. The only thing i dislike is that GameCube games dont work well, would have preferred adding more PS2 titles instead.
I hear ya, the GameCube emulation is a bit rough.
@@RetroCoreI heard game cube games have trouble running on this system

Nice review and device. I've Super Console X2 Pro, but this is vastly upgraded
As long as they improve the chipset on these.
I think they have this time round.
This is one of the best gaming review channels.
Thank you, 👍
Agreed!
@@BURRITO44 But realistically, how would they know all the possible problems?
Very true. Mine is perfectly fine.
And some games lag, yes. I show this in the video.
If I got this I'd back up the hard drive by cloning it
Had mine for months an I love it !!!!
Hardrive on AliExpress $100
Excellent review! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This shouldn't be $350 this should be about $150; or less than that. You can get a RG406v for around $180 and its portable and can connect to an external monitor or tv. Any box asking for $350 it should be able to do at least half of what Steam deck does.
Got mine for £220 on Ali express. Took a few weeks to come.
@@jabrondestoroyah not only that but you can’t use emulsion anymore! So what is $400 for? Were is the plug n play?
Think most of that price tag is the hard drive.
Android Box with SATA slot? What kind Sorcery is this 🤔.
SATA to USB adapter?
Possibly. Maybe I should take a peek inside.
Rather expensive for a TV box.
Thanks Mark, excellent video as always.
Yeah, it is a bit expensive but then again it has to be at this spec.
@@FLHilde but you have to think that only the seagate hdd cost empty around 120-150€, gamesir controllers also not like cheap 5€ controllers and the chipset of box is quite good. Around 280€ is fair price and you can find it in little lower price than this.
@djcoolsymi4799 I just got mine today, mine is a WD 4tb hdd. Which again are good quality.
@kellinwinslow1988 I got 2 from Amazon 8bitdo s works perfect now ,thank you
My controller has die after 3 days. It wont turn on and has been vibrating for a day now. Iv tried 4 other different controllers and they will not work or map. This system needs work before selling to the consumer
Very nice system ... Truthfully I didn't notice it dropping any frames. Do they have the N64 Star Fox 🦊 on there ?
Star fox 64 is on there
@Bryan-xs3nj 👍
Did emulationstation come installed? Or did you download it?
Everything was installed.
I'm afraid I don't know about that. I would imagine so but haven't tried that out.
@RetroCore Thanks for the reply.
A SSD would probably help with the stutters in WII emulation on this device.
I'm sure if that would help since PS2 and Dreamcast don't stutter.
Can anyone point me to a decent enclosure for the 4Tb harddisk which'll help to keep it cool (and maintain the SATA connection)? Thanks.
Can we download other ps2 games and delete other games on the device
@@ayoubi777You might be able to put more games on it but you would have to hook it up to a PC and know what you are doing. I haven't ever done anything like that but I'm sure it's possible. As for removing games yes you can. But I wouldn't do it for fear of screwing something up. You would have to make absolutely sure you don't want the game and that it wouldn't affect something. Your best bet would be to get another HDD,an SSD or something, then clone it and fool around with that. That way if something happens you don't like you still have the original.
Does PlayStation one games have an actual soundtrack on them?
Some are missing at CD audio but most of the ones I checked were complete.
You have to swap out the ps2 and gamecube emulators. For the specific ones for weaker android hardware. dolphin mmj apk for GameCube and nether xx2 for ps2. IT will Push the Performance big time

What emulator are you using for PS2?, i looked at Fatal Frame which looked very grainy and it was very slow running.
I wish I could play Mushroom Kingdom Fusion with these
Oh boy, The Big N is not gonna like this at all !
For sure. They get all shirty just showing one of their games on a video at times.
4TB is impressive! You can't get that on Steam Deck, at least not yet anyway.
Does the Wii motion control work with the Controller provided or do you have to use your own controller?

Basically it's powerful as a Mini PC.
In some ways, yeah I'd agree.
It's one of the best I've seen. I would update the Saturn and Jaguar emulators though. The default Saturn emulator can skip audio on some games.
that looks likes Micro-USB, not USB-C on the controller?
Yep, you are correct. My mistake 😅

Hi i have built a sim rig using a fantec race wheel, do u think i could configure it to the driving games on this system?
I doubt it as the software for those wheels requires windows don't they?
It’s a shame Tempest does not work well !!
Can you add games with a usb or a sd card?
Yes but you'd have to set up the front ends to look in the area where you have stored the Roms.
Thank you for focusing on ps2 performance as that’s pretty much my personal area of interest. At this point it seems like you could play up to ps1 on a potato. 😁
My pleasure! Glad the video could be helpful.
Are you playing the PS2 games in 1080p ?
I don’t believe so. I am not a tech savvy person so as long as they run I’m happy.
Does it have a online updater that I can download cheat codes with from Retroarch?
@retrocore in theory could i hook the hdd up to a laptop and add my backups
Sure but I imagine you'd have to edit some sort of config file so that the emulator knows the Roms are there. Or if there's a refresh database option (should be), that will add the new roms as long as they're stored in the correct folders.
hmm same price as the Chuwi Hi10 Max tab, I wonder if you can make a comparison.
Not unless someone can lend me a Chuwi Hi 10 Max.
I appreciate the video... thanks... but why do reviewers ALWAYS show games that are always going to run with minimal fuss ?... Frustrating
I would also like to see a full specs breakdown... Guessing maybe this was donated by kinhank .. where is Outrun for PSP ? That is hard to run.... Contra for switch... Hardly challenging...
a free GameSir controller and T3 is the best Bluetooth controller you'll be using 👍🏻😜🤘🏻
The Wii emulator, probably just need to compile the shaders in the beginning, and some shader packs should solve that 👍
You could be right. It does seem like shader stutter.
When I play Marvel vs capcom on this console, it won't let me switch fighters...
The controller is identical to the controller that comes with the Polymega.
Looks like they opted for cheap controllers.
I mean, they work fine but it's obvious they're not premium.
Yo i heard people having issues trouble with game cube games
They seem to have issues with the controllers not being configured correctly.
does this plug directly into tv or require computer bypass??
You can connect it directly to the TV. No PC is required.
@@kellinwinslow1988 I appreciate your comment!
Neat but not $300 neat.
Anything $300 and up may as well build your own pc and curate the games. That way you don’t just get a cheap bog standard ROM dump.
Agree, an old PC with a decent GPU can be got for less than half the price 😂
I need 8 terabytes now !! Custom !!!
Hi 🖐️Can you use 2 x PS5 wireless controllers on it?
I don't know. If they are compatible with Bluetooth 5, then it should be possible.
I read that if you don’t have a good gaming PC you can plug the kinhank 12TB HDD into the super console x5 pro and play it on your tv??? Is this true??? Thank You
Yes, that's what I'm doing on this video but with a 4TB hard drive.
But the Super Console won't run PC games, only the games it comes with.
Thank You!! I might buy the super console x5 pro and play the 12TB HDD on my tv instead of buying a new gaming PC that would handle this drive. Great Video and thanks for the response back.
You can't play Dreamcast games on it because you can't use a Dreamcast Controller to use a VMU Which is necessary for most games.
What? Of course you can. Any Dreamcast game that uses the VMU is purely a novelty. No game absolutely requires the VMU screen.
Why can i update it to all the new software?
Does it run faster at 1080p than 4k for some games?
It's the same. I'm afraid that doesn't make a difference on this system unlike a dedicated PC.
Can I load up all the games from flash memory rather than that sata drive ?
Sure, you'll need to do some configuration so the emulators know where to look for the Roms.
Does this have Saturn Sega Rally on it.
Yep but it didn't run that well. The sound was a bit rough.
Serious problems with this device, PS 2 doesn't work, the controll pad is dead. Can't start any PS2 game, same as GAMECUBE, WII. The SELECT button doesn't work on SNES.
You have to map the buttons with the tv controller for the ps2 games to work
Anyone have any system reccomendations specifically for ps2 games thats all i really want to play
Does it have red alert 2 and Medal of Honor?
No idea. I've not gone through every game.
The reviews on this are BAD saying the HDD fail within 2 days and most people have returned these makes me think this is a paid review
I've just got mine today, it's a WD 4tb that I got with mine, so it should be good quality, I wish it had a outer enclosure though.
Is there a website where I can download play instructions for all the games on this console? Great video
I'm afraid not. Or at least not that I know of.
Can you add 2 controllers
Yes, that shouldn't be an issue.
Pegasus is not the best front end when compared with others !!
If a game says "you cannot play this game" does that mean i need to switch emulator? .
It will help in some cases. It may also be a case that the rom or ISO dump they've used is bad.
My 4th Gen i5 PC with a 1660 Super kicks this things ass and only cost me £130 🤦🏻♂️🤣
How do you add games to this console?
Just like with a PC using emulation Station.
Please check the guides online for adding games to emulation station on Android.
I will do that, thank you!
Does it cover the original Xbox?
I'm afraid not.
You should not show any content published by Nintendo !!! Nintendo is going after TH-cam gaming content creators !!
Seems like you are doing a good job of it.
Lol ikr
NINTENDO are too busy trying to make a new console that isn't 10 years behind everyone else 😂😂
Seems to have mixed reviews.
How much does this gaming device cost?🎮🕹️🎮
Please check the link in the video description.

Try two player on area 51(ps2)
Sega Lindbergh?
I'm not sure there's an android based emulator for that hardware.
How much?!
Click the link in the video description.
but does it play crysis..
Lol, nope.
It might if you have the game on Steam or Game Pass. Since the device will access both you could try it if you own the game and see if it works.
Ah, good idea.
@@RetroCoreBut it may not do them the greatest Mark. It might be fun to try though. Lol. Again a follow up video I think would be very interesting.
The BIG problem of this, is the HDD on the side, it's horrible!!...The TRUE good TEST is kellinwinslow 's TEST!!
