Emille and fredy both died for freedom away from tyranny. The fact both died die to them trying and living that freedom is a sad irony. The thing they swore to protect is the one thing that killed them.
This one really got me. Emile was just another horrible victim in the machine of the politics of war, and the cruelty of his superiors. But Freddy did it… he lived through his entire time in war, lost friends and loved ones, fell in love, and was just killed on the street like a dog by strangers who didn’t even know or care about him. So upsetting…
1st is this a new valient heart game as I’m suprised I’ve never heard of this one till now and.. Second they did my boy Freddie so dirty, damn that ending has a way of pulling them heart strings
5:54 And just like that… at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the month… yesterday I celebrated November 11/11/2024 on armistice day. 9:46 Rest in peace Emile. His final words were. In his letter ✉️ sent to his daughter. Dearest Marie, As the war ends for me. I have no regrets, I’ve seen too much horror. I hope fate has more merciful to you. Our time on earth is brief, and mine has been filled with so much joy, that i can only be thankful for how much I’ve been blessed. Most specially for the wonder you brought into my life. This letter is my last I’ve been found guilty by a military court for a death officer. It was not my intention to kill him. War makes men mad. Though i failed Karl. I know my sacrifice has not been in vain. I fought for my country and my liberty. My honour is assured. Since it is will of God to separate us on Earth, i hope we’ll meet again in heaven. Keep me in your prayers. Your loving papa. Always. 😢
@@CurleyCaland also i felt bad for the Germans. They are not responsible for starting a war. Austria-Hungarian empire is responsible for starting a war after assassination franz Ferdinand. Let’s all blame the their own general staff they’re resorting of war crimes!
I highly doubt it. In real life, there was a similar incident where an African-American WW1 veteran was killed by racists. White America at the time would never acknowledge the heroism of blacks, even after they got a parade.
