Just test drove it yesterday very nice looking and driver seat is very comfortable I’m 6”3 and it’s very comfortable and plenty of room in the back as well. I own a 2016 Ford Focus ST and I do like the Civic more than I like my car. Overall Civic is nice looking and fun to drive
Very nice review! Mine is 5 weeks old and I'm lovin' it! Unfortunately, where I live, it may not be long before it is -30C. With of course only God knows how much snow. Of course this car can not defeat even small snowdrifts, BUT, when highway conditions are at least passable, this beauty will get through with stock tires!
I've been in the market for a 2018 Honda Civic si and was wondering what type of fuel you put in it. I know the owner's manual states that the car should receive premium, but can it take regular? Furthermore, I think the car has a knock sensor that changes the ignition timing caused by the difference in the fuel quality. Still, I would like to eliminate knocking altogether to preserve the engine.
Good review dude. I don't know about this engine and displacement this time around. 1.5 is going too low for me. If they had done a 1.7 or 1.8 twin scroll turbo with iVtec, I would've been floored by it. This new foray into tiny displacement engines and high psi boost isn't as fun as NA. But as I said before, if they can revamp the engine and do a 1.7T iVtec, I think a 215Hp/205lbft figure would be the sweet spot.
The 2.0t in the accord sport would have been nice. Honda isn't feeling the consumer though. They want us car enthusiast to upgrade to the. Type r and then get taxed by the dealership. Lol thats my take on it
What are your thoughts performance wise about this car vs the Focus ST or Golf GTI? The way I see it the ST & GTI have the leg up on power, but the Si has the LSD which translates to better handling and cornering.
Looks nice, but despite the lack of a LSD, I'd have to go with the Elantra Sport. More bang for your buck, more features, better sounding exhaust imo, and better warranty.
Fit and finish kept me away. Cloth seemed very thin, and both arm rest are covered by a thin fabric. Don't see it holding past 3yrs. But some great features and fun to drive. Went with a GLI.
15 months and 21,000 mile's later there is no visible wear on the interior of my '17 SI sedan. Hope you're enjoying your GLI. But you missed out on one of the best driver's cars, and best daily drivers, made today for under $25K. That said, I gave up having leather seats which I prefer, but still like the shape and look of the SI seats.
Good review. If more people actually drove it they would forget all about the engine size or lack of VTEC. Because, torque.

Blue colour looks the best
Thanks for checking it out!

Oh, this is not the Hennessy I thought it was going to be. Got me excited thinking Honda and Hennessy made friends, I was wrong. Still the best SI
Sorry for the let down! Thanks for the watching though!

I agree! It has the punch and power but with the 1.5 it may be working it to hard still.

hondata it 237hp on sports
Very good review
Glad you enjoyed it
Sweet the only thing I would probably install is a sub just for some added bass
Comes with a sub.....
Built in England yet mpg you get more on the same cars sold in England 🏴

GTI has the LSD in the SE and Autobahn trim (also Sport trim for 2017). I believe the S trim (base trim) also gets it for 2019.
Need that hondata tune son. So much fun.
Just drove an Accord 2.0 10 speed with the flash pro tune. Stage 2. It's amazing! We are selling them at Hennessy Honda now.
What does that do
@@chefcurry2109
It makes u buy a new clutch!!
@@motorcitymanman7711 lmao
@@BboyMobster
Yeah, those high end tunes are designed by the clutch makers!!! LOL
Stick to the base stage 1 tune with any tune......
Question I forgot it does not have a blind sport warning? It just have a cam on right side right?
Terrance Moore yeah just a camera
Will you save gas by choosing the less horsepower version?
Ryan O'Connor i got 39.5 mpg the other day on highway
Not so sure I would pick this over a focus st or gti but this is a nice car. Get alot for your money
Mississippi Reject lol ive heard that saying but personal experience with ford has been the oposite
Mississippi Reject different strokes for different folks
I traded in my 2014 focus ST3 and pretty happy with the change.
I had a GTI that needed a radiator at 40k and an intake manifold at 64k.... Will never get another VW again
Great review. I have the 2017 Si Coupe. Do you know if there were any changes made to the Si from the 2017 models to the 2018 models? Thanks.
jimmydaves nothing! The infotainment is a little different but something we shouldn’t care about. Cheers
jimmydaves what's different about the infotainment?
505 - your question is for Brandon.
They took out some stuff like the browser and search.
What's the difference between this one and 2017?
Nothing......2019 has a volume knob!
Driving videos should be more forward centric.

Dylan Wodrich lack of LSD...? Dude... really? It’s the Si.....
Edgar Vargas I was saying despite the fact that the Elantra doesn't have an LSD, I'd still choose it.
Dylan Wodrich ,,, My bad.... I get it... ok Elantra = great warranty, very reliable, horrible tires.....
It does have lsd...
Much better resale with the SI......and better mpg.
What is the name of this color???
christopher garcia Aegean Blue
Geared Towards Automotive thank you! I actually wasn’t sure which color to get and this video settled it for me
That's amazing! Great to hear!
Does this civic have vtec????
devonte reeves no
It doesn't need VTEC.... The turbo is the boost. It's instant power when u want it.

Good point! I can see that!

3 years? Have you ever owned a car at all let alone a Honda? Their interiors hold up decades later
Too hard to hear when driving

So ugly it hurts my feelings. Honda is another car company that has lost its way.
Looks good in person
