THIS WORKS!!!!! I"ve been cursing my Maytag Centennial ever since I installed it. After watching this video, I bought 4 feet of 3/16ths tubing, 2 brass push-on connectors ($4.59 each from Ace) flipped back the top panel and found the rubber line. I cut it, patched in the 4 feet of 3/16ths tubing using the brass connectors and put 6 towels and some T shirts in the machine. FULL WATER WASH!!!!!
just wet some stuff before you put it in there so it's heavierl and it'll give you more water becuase it will think there are more clothes in there than there really is
I understand your frustration BUT, "high efficiency soap" washes completely different than the non high efficiency soap. The reason you don't get as much water in those HE machines is because you need the clothes to be wet, but not floating. The heavy wet clothes in just a little bit of water allows the clothes to slap around pushing the soap "through" the fabric. THAT'S how HE soap works. By fooling your pressure switch and getting more water, you are defeating the way that soap works. Your clothes are not being washed, they are just hanging out in the soap instead of the soap being pushed through the fabric as designed. If you don't like it, (and I don't either), get rid of that HE machine and get an old school agitator style. Sorry to rain on your parade.
Try washing some heavy soiled coveralls or jeans with no water. Still filthy after 3 washes so where is the benefit of this so called energy efficiency BS. Waste of money and time. I am going to try the extended hose trick.

But is that black building up at the top of the inside of the tube closest to the machine? Possibly mildew or mold building up ?
What is the fix for adding too much water? Two bath towels and it put around 24/25 gallons of water in. Measured it when doing a drain cycle.
Which machine is this ? Lol I need that problem.

That's my trick too...😊
It doesn't work for me. I've tried it. I'm glad that it works for you.
