@@carpediemearth Speed Queen is a great brand. You can choose a water level on those. The problem with Speed Queen is that you don't have a lot of variety. Other than that, ther isn't much available. Thanks for the info. I thought something was wrong with my machine because it didn’t fill up with water like my previous machine. I learned a lot from your video👍🏽
These damn HE water saving machines are the worst pieces of garbage I've ever bought. They take forever sensing & randomly stopping. They won't add enough water to even get the clothes wet. So, I have tried adding buckets of water to the small & med. size loads but that causes it to immediately lock down, drain & spin ALL the water out instead of washing at all! So, all my soap, bleach, enzyme stain fighters etc. is wasted too. So, you have to run each barely damp load 4 or 5 times & it takes all day to do one load & more water, energy, soap, bleach, enzyme cleaners etc. than the old fashioned washers & still not as clean because they also have extremely slow washing movement with No Agitation at all! For one person, the extra large cycle is too big because you don't want to mix all your colors just to fill that large load or wait for months to get enough of 1 color to fill the extra large cycle. Also, I try to find one of the rare times the lid is not locked to agitate by hand the load with a wooden stick which helps to clean a little. So, now I mostly just wash by hand in buckets or in the bathtub which is very tough on an old arthritis etc. suffering lady but probably faster, less soap & water wasted than using that damn machine. 😢. Oh, right after I got it, I got a repair man to fix these problems, but he said it was working perfectly as it was made to. His only suggestion was using the extra large cycle. It doesn't wash any better either.🥺😩
my son bought me a brand new maytag this past xmas, in fact, its the same exact one. i was so ecstatic. until i used it. i was so dumbfounded because there wasnt enought water. i waited for it to fill and start washing. still not enough water! i washed the same one load like three different times because i didnt feel like it was getting clean.
i have been reading 12-15 other people's posts that are having the exact same problem that I'm having. I have a 2 month old top loading Maytag impelling wash machine. WE ALL are using our machines correctly and according to instructions.. We are getting only 1 1/2 inches of water when washing ladies undies, or dirty jeans, or towels, or blankets, or sheets! I used all the deep water settings and only a tiny tiny load and got (by measure) the exact level of water as when I washed sheets and blankets, 1 1/2 inches.. Not everything gets even wet let alone clean. All the other women described the same experience so it is not a problem with my machine.. I have to hose water to the tub from my laundry sink. This ridiculous! I don't understand why your Maytag delivers so much water. This is not about pretreating. i have ALWAYS pretreated every piece of clothing with visible dirt. You said the clothing friction is what cleans the clothing. Other women who have had the machine for a year say it is majorly wearing their clothes out. The sales pitch we were given was how GENTLE it was on your clothes. I am very disappointed that i replaced my front loader with this thing. I feel like Laura Ingles Wilder toting water to wash! Each load wastes time and effort! GRRRRR!
Everything I said is true. If you are trying to use a deep water cycle on a normal load, it's not going to happen on any washer. Just about all manufacturers require a different cycle than normal in order to use deep fill. I said use the bulky setting on auto. It gives you more water for the same amount of weight. I wouldn't say an impeller is any gentler on your clothing than a normal agitator model. Even agitator models wash the same as impeller models. If you are using deep wash cycles on something other than normal, and your bulky/sheets cycle only gives you that small amount of water, I would file a warranty claim. Something is wrong with your machine. The two things that will wear your clothing out quicker than anything is too much soap being used and sunlight.
@@ddelv583 actually, all of them are HE, even their agitator models. You can look it up if you want. Model # mvwc565fw. Every washing machine manufactured now is HE. The only way to get more water on every cycle is to buy 1 of 3 GE models or 1 samsung model.
I hate to break it to you but my brand new LG washer HAS an agitator and it looks like there's not nearly enough water and I don't like it. And yes, I will add water to it. Wish I had a hose that would reach it; I'll have to carry water from upstairs to the basement to add it. So I'm going to save gallon milk jugs and take 2 gallons downstairs to wet my clothes first, then they will be heavier and hopefully cause it to put more water in, thinking the clothes are heavier. Hope this works.
These new laws about making appliances energy efficient are absolutely asinine! I save the world plenty of H2O by being a vegetarian and I don't have children so I should get to use at least enough water to do laundry. I just got a new washer and I have to pour several gallons of water in by hand even on the Deep Wash setting AND then run the entire wash cycle 3 times to get my laundry as clean as it was with my old school washer. This actually takes more water and energy and is absolutely ridiculous!
To save everyone time: He tells you to use the bulky sheets setting, it'll give a little more water. This didn't help me, my washer only gave a TINY bit of extra water. My washer also only auto senses the fill line... So I'm stuck pouring in 5 gallon buckets of water. Wow.
Yes I have this same washer here. I did the same thing also by removing the lid latch / lock and placing it into slot as if the lid was closed. I wanted to see how this washer works, It the normal mode it sucks, it looks like a mad dog with a rag in it's mouth and it's shaking it's head .. So I been using the Bulky / Sheets mode. Now it's fills with water and washes better.. On the Drain & Spin Mold, due switch the dial to here during the washing ? or after the washer completed ? to give it the High Speed Spin Myself after the washer completed I'll used this setting as the last spin .
I have the WTW4900BW0 model washing machine. The bulky items/sheets cycle probably works on it. There is actually no Deep Water Wash option but there is a Deep Water Wash cycle. The lid also locks right when you press the start button and also does like 3 spins before the fill process.
I got tired of doing the bucket thing and installed a tee and valve with a hose through the vent on the back of the machine snaked it through the dispensing port so now I can put a lot more water in the drum whenever I choose I just had to do a little trial and error to figure out where the ideal fill level was before the computer threw a code for too much water
Yeah! I use the settings on my Maytag washer, like he explained & it works, I like this educational video, good information to make my life cleaner with more water for my clothes for me & my family ;)
You started off the video with the difference. I ended up owning both. HE front loader for my basic clothes and my agitator machine for my much dirty working clothes. I rather just have all the worlds of washing than all the picking and choosing. I’m sure they will never figure out an all for one solution with so many humans with so many different options and needs. My front loader LG smart HE works super great for what I need it for.
And it really is all about what you need. I've seen comments where people just straight up tell me I'm wrong. I don't think some people actually listen to the video.
My upstairs neighbor is an agitator and even though he doesn't look exactly like the image @ 1:22 he has gone to halloween parties dressed just like the agitator in your video, he was wearing frilly wristbands and a Large Bespoke Marabou Feather Wide Brim Hat......soo hot.
Seems like the best solution is going to be a double headed Spicket with a small hose and you can manually add the water yourself all I know is these high fission C machines are completely asinine I’m literally going to do three loads so I’m not only using the normal amount of water I’m now using triple the electricity this is all about getting more money to the big companies
I have almost the same machine, I'm not happy with it at all. It does clean, but it leaves the clothes with a detergent smell, I have been using the extra rinse option. I'm still using the same detergent I was using in my old 1980's machine that finally died, I may try something else when that jug is empty.
This “High Efficiency” / not using “a lot” of water thing doesn’t even get my sheets completely wet on the “deep water wash,” let alone CLEAN them (BRAND-NEW Whirlpool)
Try the bulky sheet setting and if you have a separate setting for deep water use that while using bulky. I hate the new energy saving units, but there are ways to get more water.
I need to get more water from the Electrolux front loader. It has those dam water reducer units on it. It never rinses any load properly nor do I want to use the extra rinse on it as it defeats the purpose of using the fabric softener that is needed in every load. I need to take that water flow reducer off of the machine if possible. Please help as my roommates clothing stinks bad after he washes his clothes no matter what soap he uses. Thank you for your help.
Front loaders are a different beast altogether. I'm not aware of a way to get more water out of those. They just use less water. As for the smell, you have to leave the door cracked when not in use, run a cleaning cycle once a month, don't use too much soap, and if you have the option to drain the tub, do that once a month as well.
Same here!!!! And I have an issue with odor on my clothes ever since using those piece of crap HE machine. I add gallons of hot water with a hose just to get the clothes wet
This is why I hate “new tech” comes in. It ALWAYS complicates things that don’t need to be complicated. It’s effing infuriating. I feel I paid a premium price for a lower quality wash.
You did. We all do. Everything is made of cheap plastic, so it breaks sooner now. These machines are designed to last about 6 to 10 years. It's usually just longer than the extended warranty time period.
So I just learned than unless you choose the fabric softener setting, it just sprays water on the clothes and does not fill up. Also apparently the agitator does not actually move? (The same model as in the video.)
The agitator goes back and forth, or at least it should. Fabric softener is odd. If you disassemble the center top it is centrifugal, so I've never actually seen it on fabric softener. It just dispenses. I mainly use sheets, but I have used the liquid before.
As much as I love your video and the suggestion to use th Bulky cycle for a deeper tub of water, I would think using it more than the other cycles would create undue wear and tare on these poor quality machines. I will go with a Speed Queen TC5 as it is more robust and allow a full tub of water without gimmicks and work-arounds to get clothes and bedding clean. They are also no more expensive than the fancy junk HE models now in the market place.
Speed Queen is a much better option. They have a little bit more longevity to them. Just keep in mind that everything is designed to wear out and companies are out to make money. I'd love a Speed Queen, but I don't want to spend a grand on one.
Im a garbageman and these kind of washing machine never washed my work clothes properly I need to wash it two times it waste more water than saving it.
You can use a magnet to fool the lock, but you'd have to grab the latch when it pops out. Then you can open it whenever you want. To permanently bypass it, would take some modifications. I would always recommend against bypassing safety switches though.
Only a man would think that you can wash clothes with no water, I've had an impeller machine for a year now it does not wash clothes properly and it ALWAYS ties them in knots! my water bill didn't change by even one dollar so this lame idea is just to make those of us who have to do the family wash...work harder...DON'T BUY ONE!
How do you get a lot of water. My mom has one and she hates cause she said that not enough water to get the laundry clean she use to a washer where she set the filling for the loads amd I keep telling it will come clean with the small amount of water
Going through this right now with my sr citizen mom. She lost her 25 year old machine and hates this new one....she keeps threatening to "call the newspaper to write an article because the store sells crap"lol
The only advice I have to give, is to get something that says load size instead of soil level. That will at least let you adjust how much water goes into it. You will most likely be looking at a GE. Even those machines suck. If she wants something that she is used to, you will have to search used.
I was washing sheets on the "whites" setting and a team of four SWAT members broke down my door and was going to arrest me. But I told them my husband started the laundry. They said, well if he's helping with the laundry, we'll let it go.
ge washers are not like this my ge high efficiency washer has deep fill on every setting and adds 3 more gallons if it does not think there is much water in it one good thing about the ge i have the lid is glass so i can look down in it and see how much water then push the deep fill button
Or you just splice the switch wires together and leave the switch screwed in. Did that to mine when the button on the switch broke. Other than that, I had a good 7:30 nap...thanks.
@@TheRifter “Cabrio P O S” Water Level Sensor Calibration .,/|\,.Press/hold "Cycle Signal" button until a single beep is heard and the display displays "Pt" for zero calibration can recalibrate the water level sensor. (All clothing and water must be out of the washing machine's tub for proper calibration) I haven’t tried this yet but I am real sick of this $700 POS LOL about ready to file a formal complaint against the manufacturer
there is no functional difference between a agitator model and a washplate (impeller) model. the only difference being they installed a big pole on your washplate. everything else is identical. Also Whirlpool/Maytag recommends loading in loose heaps each article not spreading out like he did. if you have the washplate dont cover the middle where the agitator would be. deep wash only changes the rinse not the wash
Actually, there is a functional difference. An agitator pulls your clothes down in the center. You are correct in leaving the center of the impeller uncovered. Deep wash changes the depth of wash cycles other than normal. Consult your user manual for more information. There is a GE model that has a deep rinse cycle.
@@TheRifterI am a whirlpool certified technician. I don't need to consult the owners manual I consult the service manual and the guy that designed it. Whirlpool said (who owns Maytag, and amana) deep wash only changes rinse from the new spray rinse to a more traditional fill (same height as in wash) and agitate rinse. The agitator since the water level is so low (below the screw blades on the agitator) can't do much pulling down like on the old ones.
@@TheRifter I understand the manual doesn't clarify things like the way they say it should be loaded, What each option actually does and proper detergent amount. Even our trainers recognize this but marketing seems to have the last say.
Then you may have to do the trick of pouring a jug of water slowly over the clothes before starting the load so it will feel heavier and the machine will add more water. Just make sure to get the clothes wet and not have it just go down in the bottom or it will just drain out.
@@KathyAZ so, if you use the bulky setting it provides more water. The whole point of HE detergent is that it suds less for less water. Some machines will have 2 rinses and that function allows you to use regular soap in HE machines. Most soap purchased in stores now is HE. Just look for the HE symbol on the front of the container.
I have had enough of he washers. I have a Roper that came in my Moblehome. My clothes, T-shirts has got holes in them from this washer. I’m talking about nice expensive shirts 25 to 30 dollars T-shirts. It absolutely made me sick when I took them out and saw those holes. My church clothes at that. The manufacturer needs to step in and do something and be responsible for those washers. But no they want do nothing they are designed to do that, what designed to rip your clothes. I liked this video and I have done this but we shouldn’t have to do that to help the problem. I have added water to it myself to get the clothes wet but we shouldn’t have to do that , I feel like I living in the sixty’s or fifty’s when we had to take and carry water because we didn’t have running water in the house.
A basic Roper washer also came with our mobile home. Yea, it's small extremely basic and has a full water level or small water level. But, dang, it works. Looking for a larger washer but everything seems to be problematic. I sold GE washers in the 90's that were owned by Camco in Canada and were the most amazing washers. Now everything seems to be crap but using the brand names.
I'm here to Commiserate. This is the biggest load of smart crap I've ever experienced. Good thing the glass, rounded lid locks. Laundry thieves can look, but not steal my dirty clothes! Who needs a flat surface next to their dryer anyway? I used to lay warm dry clothes from dryer on lid of washer before hanging them, to prevent wrinkles. Dryer leaves everything "dry enough" & wrinkled anyway... Why is there a Remote start feature? Only thing I can figure is it's so I can't beat the Hell outta the pos beeping touch screen! Call me old fashioned, but I like my washers to have water accessible to rinse hands, soap cups, pretreat....
No. I mean this on specific models. producthelp.whirlpool.com/Laundry/Washers/Product_Info/Washer_Videos/VIDEO%3A_Using_Pre_Treat_Faucet_on_Washing_Machine
So, impeller is just a marketing term? On The Home Depot app, all the top load washers are sub-categorized as impeller or agitator. Both terms are correct, but impeller sounds more “technical”🤓.
I absolutely hate these new HE washers!! Mine doesn’t have the extra selection like yours so stuff Comes out soap on it or guck sometimes they’re not even wet!! I absolutely hate him I think it’s the worst thing washer manufactures could’ve done to us 🤨🤨
The water in my whirlpool is deeper than your knowledge. Zero help on what the title suggest. I feel like I'm listening to my dad, in a bad mood, explaining how to...
I removed the lock and shoved it back inside the top control cabinet. These HE washers SUCK, with the lid open I can SEE clothes on top during the wash that arent even WET yet! there's no way its going to clean with 3" of water, so I use a hose and 3 five gallon buckets of water and fill the damn thing up so the clothes are suspended in water like they should be, if I wanted a domestic using a washboard to scrub my clothes like the 1890s I'd have one, but since I don't I do it MY way. Hopefully when this Whirlpool HE POS goes South I will look into a Speedqueen commercial washer nwith agitator. th-cam.com/video/Sg6S9WaInXQ/w-d-xo.html
Yeah, you can damage the washer filling it with water like that. The internal weight system and motor are expecting one thing and instead get another. Be careful, you'll wear it out quicker and they don't make them to last anymore anyway.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE my impeller washing machine. I have the Samsung top load washing machine and dryer with the Moisture Sensor (both are he). I detest the washing machine. I got rid of my front loader because it stunk and got this one because it was a top loader and I was 'fooled' by the 'impeller' propaganda. The washer/dryer set was $1,200 each new but I will gladly sell them at a loss to NEVER buy one again. It's that bad. I'd rather switch to an antique wringer washer than this piece o' junk. What's even more stupid is because I have to run more cycles on the same clothes to get them clean, it defeats the entire purpose of 'H.E.'. The whole thing is ridiculous. The remove the one thing that gets the clothes clean by cycling the clothes through the water, and ALSO add less water. Stupid people who have never washed a real household's laundry.
I really wish i would have gone with a speed queen vs this he garbage. So you have to wash your clothes, in essence before you wash your clothes. Talk about inefficient. How ironic. Is there a reason you have it on cold? If i have it on warm or hot will that screw up the water level? The Power Wash setting isnt going to give you more water? It it only corresponds to the amount of time?
I wash a lot of clothing together. I always use cold water. You can use which ever water temperature you like, with the exception of cold wash, it will only use cold water. Power wash is a harder and longer wash. It also adds some warm water to help with stains. Soil level is the amount of time.

So, maybe you should read my first reply more carefully and stop typing like this is your first day learning to type. I said if you continuously get that little water no matter what you do, I would file a warranty claim. I do know what I'm talking about, if you have a model with a known problem, then it is not my fault. Bulky/sheets should be giving you more water. If it's not, then something is wrong with your machine. If this doesn't help you, then move on. I've never told anyone that the impeller is more gentle on clothing. The worst things for your clothing are soap and sunlight. File a warranty claim before you are out of your first year, because something is mechanically wrong with your machine. There I said it three times in one post. Maybe you'll get the message.
Buddy that's fine if you want a wash cycle that does a 10 minute slow wash. I want to use the other cycles with longer more aggressive washes and none of them ever put enough water in the tub to wash the clothes effectively. I have a hose by the washer and I fill up to the first blade on the agitator after the washer puts it's initial 1-2 inches in the tub (mine doesn't lock the lid until after the first wash except on the bulky sheet setting).
Well ok more aggressive than the barely agitating bulky mode on our Kenmore. At least the other modes actually turn the clothes - after you add water on top of whatever puny amount the machine decides is enough.

There is something wrong with it cause these machines stink.
not only do they not fill up with a full tub of water; no matter what settings you put it on, the machine just softly swishes the clothes back & forth
It worked! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video!
You're welcome
Raw honest and to the point! Just how a video should be! 👍👍👍
i have been reading 12-15 other people's posts that are having the exact same problem that I'm having.
B/C his is a different machine with an agitator & not the newest HE machine. That's why.
@@ddelv583 actually, all of them are HE, even their agitator models. You can look it up if you want. Model # mvwc565fw. Every washing machine manufactured now is HE. The only way to get more water on every cycle is to buy 1 of 3 GE models or 1 samsung model.
@intenseatpon whirlpool manufactures Maytag now. All machines are crap. They only last 6 to 10 years.
@erick. Iike. your. veyo argata you are a moron. If you buy a Maytag, then you are buying Whirlpool. Think before you start talking crap.
I hate to break it to you but my brand new LG washer HAS an agitator and it looks like there's not nearly enough water and I don't
like it. And yes, I will add water to it. Wish I had a hose that would reach it; I'll have to carry water from upstairs to the basement
to add it. So I'm going to save gallon milk jugs and take 2 gallons downstairs to wet my clothes first, then they will be heavier and hopefully cause it to put more water in, thinking the clothes are heavier. Hope this works.
I have the same machine as you. Wish Maytag had given me your video instead of an owners manual. Thank you for your insight.
The clothes rubbing together also damages the fabric. Pilling is a real issue.
Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂 love the ending!!! Thanks 🙏🏻
To save everyone time:
He tells you to use the bulky sheets setting, it'll give a little more water.
This didn't help me, my washer only gave a TINY bit of extra water. My washer also only auto senses the fill line... So I'm stuck pouring in 5 gallon buckets of water. Wow.
same here, but I don't add extra water, I just punch the dam buttons & hope for the best! Ugh!
If your washer has a Deep Fill or Deep Wash setting, that will use the maximum amount of water.
@@donnak.8422 love your response, made my day 😂😂
I have a Y connector at the hose outlet on the wall and run a hose after the machine "thinks" it has enough water. Maytag is complete garbage.
@@carpediemearthI just did that and it work great went almost to the top
Yes I have this same washer here. I did the same thing also by removing the lid latch / lock and placing it into slot as if the lid was closed. I wanted to see how this washer works, It the normal mode it sucks, it looks like a mad dog with a rag in it's mouth and it's shaking it's head .. So I been using the Bulky / Sheets mode. Now it's fills with water and washes better.. On the Drain & Spin Mold, due switch the dial to here during the washing ? or after the washer completed ? to give it the High Speed Spin Myself after the washer completed I'll used this setting as the last spin .
I loved this video I laughed so hard at the end. 😂
I'm assuming you mean my son? Yeah, he's a regular character.
Thank you so much. This video has been a great help.
i like your video , well said.. keep making more
That was a good video tho , I didn’t know the soil level was just time consuming because I had it on high thinking it was more powerful 😂
Had I not sold them for years, I also would have thought the same.
Yeah! I use the settings on my Maytag washer, like he explained & it works, I like this educational video, good information to make my life cleaner with more water for my clothes for me & my family ;)
THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!!!!!
Love this video Ty. So much
No problem.
Washing without water keeps ripping my clothes😢
Seems like the best solution is going to be a double headed Spicket with a small hose and you can manually add the water yourself all I know is these high fission C machines are completely asinine I’m literally going to do three loads so I’m not only using the normal amount of water I’m now using triple the electricity this is all about getting more money to the big companies
I have almost the same machine, I'm not happy with it at all. It does clean, but it leaves the clothes with a detergent smell, I have been using the extra rinse option. I'm still using the same detergent I was using in my old 1980's machine that finally died, I may try something else when that jug is empty.
Try an unscented one or try the 2nd rinse option. You can also use a 1/3 of what you are used to. It might help.
If you have a HE machine, you need to use HE detergent. If your clothes have detergent residue, then you're likely using too much detergent.
My Maytag commercial(?) makes a racket & the friction thins/ruins my sheets, clothes... Anyone recommend a better brand? Jeanne
What about when the clothes in the washer are not even getting wet?
What cycle are you using?
We have a maytag HE and I washed jeans and when it was done my top jeans were still dry. never got wet.
I wish I seen this video before I bought it 😪
This is why I hate “new tech” comes in.
Agree with your opinion of nowadays technologies simply making easy jobs complicated
Yeah my washer about the same Maytag like yours things are still to wet when I use the bulky setting.
It's a low spin speed. At the end of the cycle do drain and spin. It's a high spin speed. That should extract more water from your clothing.
@@TheRifter ty
What model is your machine? I just bought the Maytag top loader 4.2 cuft. Mine is MVW565FW. Is your same?
That's the same model I have.
Am I correct that all the cycles (normal, bulky sheets, power wash) all work for the same length of time if you have it on low dirt level?
Not quite, they are slightly skewed. Power wash is a really long cycle. Once, on deep water wash is took over an hour and a half.
Tear, not tare, moron.
@@TheRifter most basic washers are 700 bucks now. I'm saving up for the Speed Queen.
Im a garbageman and these kind of washing machine never washed my work clothes properly I need to wash it two times it waste more water than saving it.
Agreed! This happens with my front loader. My guy roommate has big heavy jeans causes hes big and no amount of washing gets his clothes clean.
Do you know how to make it so I can lift the lid as it fills with water on the newer model maytags? The ones with glass lids?
Are you talking about the largest ones like the 5.2 cuft units where it has the recessed lock?
What model do you have?
@@TheRifter MVWB865GW
You can use a magnet to fool the lock, but you'd have to grab the latch when it pops out. Then you can open it whenever you want. To permanently bypass it, would take some modifications. I would always recommend against bypassing safety switches though.
@@TheRifter also you you know how to get these washer to fill up more? Even the deep fill just isn’t deep enough to wash out our clothes well
Only a man would think that you can wash clothes with no water, I've had an impeller machine for a year now it does not wash clothes properly and it ALWAYS ties them in knots! my water bill didn't change by even one dollar so this lame idea is just to make those of us who have to do the family wash...work harder...DON'T BUY ONE!
I think you missed the point of this whole video.
I've heard speed queen machines somehow got around the government mandate, and use old school tech. They start at $1000+

Top load washer is a not good choice.
More people should use front-load washer as house appliances.

Water level sensor calibration
Usually on washing machines, most manufacturers have the cleaning cycle as an automatic water level recalibration ad well as a cleaning cycle.
@@TheRifter “Cabrio P O S” Water Level Sensor Calibration .,/|\,.Press/hold "Cycle Signal" button until a single beep is heard and the display displays "Pt" for zero calibration can recalibrate the water level sensor. I have this washer and its a piece of fucking junk. I washed a load and still had deodorant residue on my shirt after the cycle
I have a new washer with an an agitator never enough water . Must be a GOVERNMENT MACHINE
At this point, they probably put microphones in the units.
there is no functional difference between a agitator model and a washplate (impeller) model. the only difference being they installed a big pole on your washplate. everything else is identical.
@@michaelchilders2012 Then Whirlpool needs better representatives and literature, because it states it in the manuals.

I'll try that idea. Day 1...

You are right. I don't know anyone that actually likes the new HE washers.
GE's appliance division is owned by Haier now, unless it has been sold again.
I'm here to Commiserate.
This is the biggest load of smart crap I've ever experienced.
Good thing the glass, rounded lid locks. Laundry thieves can look, but not steal my dirty clothes! Who needs a flat surface next to their dryer anyway? Why is there a Remote start feature? Only thing I can figure is it's so I can't beat the Hell outta the pos beeping touch screen!

It's called a wash plate not impeller
So, impeller is just a marketing term? On The Home Depot app, all the top load washers are sub-categorized as impeller or agitator. Both terms are correct, but impeller sounds more “technical”🤓.

Then you are doing something incorrectly, or your washing machine is faulty.
Again you miss the point. You're doing something wrong. Your video doesn't address what the title suggest. You're the one mad.
If you put the setting on bulky sheets you should get more water. If you don't, your unit is defective.
You don't know. DAD!
Useless video. Nice intro music, I guess.

@@Mantechnic well if you want to get technical about it, there is no aggressive washing in HE washing machine.
Well ok more aggressive than the barely agitating bulky mode on our Kenmore. At least the other modes actually turn the clothes - after you add water on top of whatever puny amount the machine decides is enough.
If you don't like it, I don't care 😂 🎉
Well, people constantly argue with me and tell me that's not how they want it to work. I can't fix that. It works how it works.
