    Hi friend, my horn didn't work anymore, I changed the fuse but it broke down again... I had to change fuse 15 too... what should I do? i have a 2014 bmw f30 320d

      I know only Fuse#14 which is 15Amps for the horn. Fuse 15, where is it? FYI the horn fuse is more prone to blow off in F20 and F30, I am not sure about the reason but I suspect the horn connector getting corroded or you might have to change the fuse. You may try disconnecting the horn connector and try inserting the fuse and see if it blows off- if yes the n you have a short circuit due to faulty wiring else replace the horn or as temporary solution is to replace the 15 Amps fuse with 20 Amps, since the fuse is powering only the Horn.

    How about my horn was working and stopped.. so I check for the fuse in the passenger side fuse box... and there's no 15 amp fuse there at all.. how was the horn working before without a fuse there!?

    I had the same issue where the horn stopped working so I followed your guide and managed to fix it by replacing the 15amp fuse! Only issue is that after a day or two it randomly blows again..
    Any idea what is causing this?
    Perhaps the 15Amp fuse controls something else as well?

      Till date mine is working fine. I will check if that fuse powers something else. As per one of the guy who commented says that the horn relay send power through this fuse which is logical, so it shouldn't power anything else. So culprit should be the horn itself of corrosion somewhere in the wire

      @@bimmerhacks thank you, but yea it’s quite strange.. It just happens randomly, like the horn would be fixed for a few days and out of nowhere the fuse is blown again. Would make it a bit easier for me to figure out if it just blows when I press horn… But I’ll see how it goes again for the next few days

      I finally found what is causing the fuse to blow! When the car is turned off, if I press the horn then it will blow the fuse immediately, I can even hear a little pop from the fuse. It doesn’t do this when the car is turned on. Glad I know what is causing it to blow out, just need to see what is failing now.

      @@bimmerhacks thanks a lot.. just wondering, does F30 BMW 3 series have got only 1 Fuse for Horn? As per your video??. My issue is, when I press horn in steering, I hear a soft click noise next to deiver seat ( near to passenger seat)

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@muhammadrahman2156 as per the electrical circuit there is a relay followed by the fuse 14. The click must be the relay that means your fuse is good and your horn located in the engine bay is faulty. Just my assumption according to your symptoms.

    Hello, 2 days ago I checked and replaced all of those small fuses in our F20. Horn was also not working and seems someone spilled some cola in the interior, most of those fuses were a bit dirty and started to oxidize. The thing is - fuse change fixed the horn for 2 days, it was working perfectly well, but today it stopped working again.( What do you recommend to check as other problem? Can the wiring for the horn be damaged as well, so it blew new fuse as well?? Thank you for opinion! M

      I did not go in that deep to check the Horn and it's wiring. It looks like this is a common problem with f20. I have many BMW n this is the only one shown this issue. Mine is fine after changing the fuse, but I don't use it much in here.
      I would suggest putting 5ams extra

      @@bimmerhacks Seems I need to physically check both horns and look for the damage in the connectors, try to clean them and get them back again. It is same here - I have/had lots of different BMWs, also few from 70s and 80s, but f20 is the only one I am having this problem, even it has only 80 tkm on the clock :D
