Эти насосы на стенде разгоняю до 270 Бар. Хочу один распилить, поднять байпас до 350 Бар. Потому, что моторы BMW В48\В58 качают до 350 бар. На пьезо-инжекторы хватает и 150Бар.
Codes keep coming back. Is my pump defective or is my o ring wrong? I used 20x2
Measure the diaphragm depth. If it's more than 20 u have leaking diaphragm or o-ring

Haloooo! I watched your video about N13B16 engine temperature sensor. It was extremely helpful to me. Also you've reassured me that my car is the most horrible BMW I've ever owned (my 7th BMW). Maybe I've been lucky🤔? I have no choice, I must attempt to replace the sensor (with the offending o-ring myself). I googled and researched. It worries me. Is it really difficult for someone with limited experience? I have all necessary tools, I'm a machinist with 38 years experience. But I'm terrified I'll end up failing the job and being stuck with no transport 😲. All the faults I've had with this horrible car seem to be identical to everything I see on various forums and TH-cam. 60,000 miles and the car is nearly dead!🤬 Basically, when I do the repair, is there any major mistake that I should be aware of? I'd be really grateful if you can find the time to reply 🙏!
Don't be terrified. If you're referring to coolant temperature sensor, if you can get it out from the narrow space it will be much easier to put it back. Timing chain is an easy job, if you have black smoke then you need to do a valve seal change which is a horrible job if you don't have the proper narrow valve spring remover tool - lever type. If there is anything else you are asking about please let me know. Coolant leak can also be from the turbo side as the turbo gets red hot the o-ring fails premature so replace with high temperature O-ring only which is the dark brown one

@@dmbkevster yes I took it out by hitting with a flathead metal screw driver. The plastic handled screw driver will not work out.
Can you name a video showing how to take off the exhaust manifold on this car
There is none that I found. As far as I know the catalytic converter to be taken out first, then the turbo and finally the manifold. Be careful when you put it back as the exhaust manifold bolts are prone to break if you over tighten the nuts. Do the oil filter housing gasket change if you are doing this job along with it and the oil pressure sensor change as you are already there.

What happen when ivm going bad or short current?
Depending on the fuse which blows off the issue can differ. Main thing is cranks and car won't start. If it's water pump fuse of 50 AMPS then water pump won't work.

@@evofx4029 I don't have experience on e66 as my cars are E70, F10 and F20. The IBS sensor is the small cable that comes along with the Negative terminal of the battery. Check on your battery
How did you make sure that the cause was this ISM? I have a similar issue with my f10 528i 2015 and I'm not sure whether it's the ISM or damaged water pump. Any clue how to know that?
Read the error code. Any code that pushes you towards the components of engine Bay or DME. ISM is the first thing to inspect

@@bimmerhacks can a short that affects the pump happen from any region of the harness, or only from the sections that directly plug into it.
@kevinyuan380 if you're referring to water pump, the water pump is prone to internal water leak within and cause the fuse to blow. Other chances are less unless roddents get in to your engine bay and cut the wires or any recent work done in which the water pump wire got tightened in between the intake manifold or so. By the way the water pump wire is the thick red wire going via the top of oil filter housing in N55 engine

I did not check the error code. There should be error code for alternator for sure

I rebuild my pump and i hade 19mm on dighprha.. But i put back and its stil dånt wanna work shows me same fault code 29F2 hight pressure fuel system. And this only code left. Car starts and can drive but right away comes limp mode and halvs engine pic. And feels like missfire. I head the pressure and its same pressure as before
It might have trapped air or oil might be leaking from the HPFP. When u installed the o-ring/x-ring might be loose or got cut!!!
When I put o rings they go Smooth And i pulled 19mm and i left little bit in pil to take in all oil in on wake up the digrahp. And I check after 1 hour oil level was same. After i pulled more oil in.
@@deffbichsweet2461 O-ring must be tight fit. As you might have noticed the original O-ring was so tight that it was difficult to get it out. When the HPFP turns it makes more pressure inside and the tendency of oil to push out will increase

Hi i have code 109308 coolant temperature sensor, signal change: Too fast. I take it the sensor is faulty?...the car is overheating as the fan only comes on for about 45-seconds to 1 min, and then goes off..so i assume that the sensor is faulty? please could you advise as i am going to attempt this sensor change. ALSO will any or much coolant come out once senor is out while switch over of sensors?. When you changed over the sensors did you have coolant in the car?. .(p.s separate issues linked to coolant had the thormastat changed being of the year and then this issues started there seems to be a small leak drops of coolant from the joint of where the thermostat joints back of water pump could this case the coolant tempeture sensor code too? thanks car is 118i 2013) thanks for your help in advance
Apologies for the delay. I was on vacation. I am not sure about the fault code you are referring to. I would recommend you to check the live data of Coolant Temperature and Oil Temperature when it shows overheat message. I have seen overheating issue when the coolant temp sensor read correctly and Oil Temp sensor gave a fault value. So you have to consider Oil Temperature/pressure sensor on the Oil Filter housing as well. the Thermostat mounting is a weird design on this engine, I too felt a small inaccuracy can cause leak, so I used a slightly tight high Temperature O-ring where thermostat comes in to the engine/waterpump & also used silicone to avoid any leaks.
Do the vanos pulleys need to be lined up, or can they be put on any position.
Vanos sprocket can be at any position but make sure the chain is free enough in the top chain guide side as demonstrated in my video when you tighten the vanos sprocket. Once you tighten the spring tensioner the chain will get tightened and the it will show no lag on the chain guide side.

That is a very good explanation. Do you know where “terminal 87_1 no power”. I just replaced a Map sensor on my e70 and I’m now getting a short to earth.
As I understand the MAP sensor is directly connected to DME and you might have to check the ISM for any blown fuse as it powers DME. TERMINAL 87 means it should be powered by a relay so relay powered fuses are 4,5 and 6. 5 is the more likely 20A fuse. Make sure the MAP sensor is a good and genuine one, it can cause no start issues, also check its wires for any damage in it's path
@@bimmerhacks I took apart the ism last year and didn’t find any blown fuses. I’ve been having intermittent “terminal 87_1 no power” for a good 4-5 years. I could drive for 300 miles and no code And when I get back I. The car it will pop right up then go away.

@@bimmerhacks no, but I try to fix a belt squeak on cold engine and on acceleration on road when car is cold. I dont know how to fix it.
@@djidwawa it might be PCV squeak... Check your PCV Membrane probably it will be worn and that should be the cause of your oil seal pushing oil out.

If you're repairing go for fully immersed method which I recommend rather than filling oil through oil seal. U can install the oil seal at the end same as I have shown in this video once all other parts has been installed immersing in oil. Vacuum must not exceel 40ml on a 60-100ml syringe
great then 100% these pumps are pressurized internally with oil and their optimal and long-lasting operation is the load of oil to lubricate these internal parts, what I don't understand is why the new pumps do not have this pressurization, I imagine low quality Chinese production, this Chinese pump, is it possible to fill it with oil and make it work correctly? @@moisesgonzalez8103 open it up and see. Don't buy refurbished one, when you rotate the itself you can feel a grinding sense. Buy junkyard one and fix if your diaphragm or any springs are leaking.

No fix for Diaphragm. Go and get a junkyard one so that you have spare compression springs as well.
