    Thanks for providing this installation video. It answered the question(s) that I had. (The single hose unit that I purchsed only requires one hose to the outside because it is pulling cooling air for the condenser from the space then exhausting the warm/hot air outside through the vent hose.)

    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! th-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    This product will not fit a 34” window without blocking a duct. You will need to trace and cut out a hole in the long inner panel. The inner 18” slide panel will not slide past the intake/exhaust shroud once installed.

      I cut a section off of the extender, short to the usable length, without cutting a new oval for the hose

      @@axcman5749 nice. I started to go that route too as it seemed faster. But my unit is next to an exterior door and opening and closing make it move slightly with pressure. So I went the route to keep as much of it interlocked as possible and even drilled a few extra holes and added a few more rivets. I will be the first to admit I over engineer everything. Lol.

    Why does Hisense put a sticker on the AC saying don’t return to the store we are here to help; and when I called the toll free number after some automated prompts their brilliant solution was to look in the owners manual? That would be a great question to answer- too bad they don’t answer questions here (or anywhere else). The sticker SHOULD say you’re completely on your own. Good thing Costco has a great return policy. I can get another Delonghi.

      That just happened to me!! I sat on the line for 30+ minutes only for them to tell me to refer back to the owners manual with help on installation. 😮🤨

      The only reason is because they don’t want the store to know that people have problems with them. But you sure can return it to the store.

    Have the double tube version. Window gap is 35 inches. Had to use an angle grinder to cut one of the plates down to size. After that it worked perfectly. Super cool.

    This tutorial was semi-useful.. BUT echoing another commenter to emphasize that the WINDOW EXHAUST ADAPTER should be installed to the INNER part of the panel slider (according to the manual). If you install to the outer part (as shown in video) there will be gaps defeating the purpose of the air conditioner!

    Do I need to install exhaust if I will only use it on Fan Mode?

    • @Rocket-Man
      @Rocket-Man ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It is horrible that they don’t reply you at all. To answer your question, you don’t need to install the exhaust hose, if you just turn on Fan mode.

      @@Rocket-Man yup their customer service is a joke. I called the toll free number and after some automated prompts they told me to look in the owners manual. So that’s just a time waster. Good thing Costco has a great return policy.

      What does E5 mean? It wont turn on

    • @politicalpatterns
      @politicalpatterns 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@user-uy3hc6vi1w E5 means that the air conditioner needs to be drained because it was unable to evaporate all the water it built up during usage. There should be a lower drain plug that you can loosen to drain the AC, make sure you do it outside or over a drain or pan so it doesn't leak on your floor.
      Take care to reinstall the drain plug correctly and make sure there's no seals or o-rings that fall out when you unscrew the drain cover. It should be detailed in your owner's manual but in mine it was only mentioned in the quick guide one time that E5 means you need to drain.

    THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG! The manual shows the tabs facing inwards NOT outwards, your video is useless.

    • @InayahBlack
      @InayahBlack หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      ..and this makes a significant difference as the way it’s installed in the video leaves gaps between the panel and window exhaust adapter (which would completely defeat the purpose and performance). THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT!
