  • There are many barriers to a good night's sleep - disorders like insomnia and sleep apnea, snoring, and an overactive mind, to name a few. To remove these barriers, it is an excellent idea to down-regulate before you go to sleep each night.
    Faster breathing can also impact the quality of your sleep because the body identifies this as a threat. To ensure you achieve deep sleep to get your necessary rest, it is essential to look at what is disrupting your sleep. Specific breathing techniques can help you to sleep well without disruptions.

    Hi Patrick do you take questions? I left some but no response. Just wondering what you think could cause shortness of breath 2+ years after covid. Cat Scan good EKG good Labs Good. When I cry it seems to give me some good breaths then I get sob again. Yawning too. At night my 02 gets low. Got infected again 2+ years later to the month all my breathing issues are back with a vengeance! Do you have a class I can take or any suggestions! I know I have sleep apnea I wake up not breathing and now I snore. I was 45 with no preexisting and ended up with covid. I cant work out and I feel prisoner in my own body!

    What to do if you need to take a deeper breath because air hunger is unbearable thanks

      Breath light, breath slow, breath DEEP. I think deep means relax the belly and let it expand with ease

      Hi @sherylmarshall1444
      If the air hunger is intolerable, take a break, but keep breathing through the nose.
      The exercise works best when we are calm and relaxed with a low heart rate.
      When we mouth breathe it just makes things worse.
      Your air hunger should be tolerable. If you are going purple then you need to take a break.

    I'm 71 and never knew that the tongue should be placed at the top of my mouth. I'm working on putting the tongue on top of my mouth but it won't stay there. Any suggestions?

    • @OxygenAdvantage
      @OxygenAdvantage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't try and force the tongue into the top of the mouth @carolineyunker9
      It should happen naturally when your shoulders are back, your head is up and you swallow correctly.
      Dr John and Dr Mike Mew is the real experts on this. Here are some of their videos to help you with correct tongue posture.
